Season 2 is a huge improvement from season 1. There are still so many loose ends and things that don’t make sense. Is it to much to ask for more action and more master chief in his suit.

There are loose ends because it’s an unfinished TV show and they can’t have action all the time due to budget constraints. Also, that’s not how you do action on screen. It needs to serve a purpose. It’s not a video game.
@@CherryJuli and also, they had no choice but to take the failures from season 1 and try to make it have some sense with their new plans for Season 2 and going forward. I agree with you, we can`t have a lot of action with little story, you need a really good story to with it. Season 2 really brought the story and the action, can`t wait for Season 3.
Season 2 was a complete upgrade... being realistic about budgetary constraints it was light years beyond Season 1. Who tf does a series and openly admits to not once looking at the troves and troves of source material. Even if youre going todo something different you have to understand where the character come from so you know how they connect with their audience...

The Halo TV series was my first intro to Halo and the show is amazing. I was captivated since episode 1. For people who never played the games and don’t know the canon stories, watching the show is a cinematic rollercoaster!
You forgot to mention that Parangosky got absolutely swarmed by the flood, which has me thinking that she will be turned into a proto gravemind.
THIS episode was freaking fantastic. 10/10. This is what they need to keep doing. Keep up the action and focus on Chief. If it is too expensive to produce that every episode.. well figure it tf out ! As a Halo fan since CE first dropped on xbox... man this episode gave me goosebumps. Very very well done.

@@user-zz7zb8uv1o that city is presumably a hidden city of the Forerunners. They were an ancient civilization that created everything essentially. Including the Halo rings. They made those rings as weapons to kill the flood. Thay being you saw in that lab Halsey and her daughter was in ..that is probably a Forerunner. Clutching flood spores sealed in a device.
@@user-zz7zb8uv1o That city is a part of the civilization that built the halo, the forerunners, and was mostly wiped out when it was activated to destroy the flood. They were the leading species pre halo activation. They fought with the human race, who were fighting the flood, and after they won they put the human race back in a primal state as punishment. When they wiped the universe of all life with the halo, they made sure the humans would eventually retake the mantle that the forerunners took, and as such they are the only ones capable of interacting with forerunner halo technology.
In the TV series, this ability to interact with forerunner halo technology is cut down to only Makee and John, while in the games it was all humans.
S2 was a improvement , I hope s3 we can get Val vadamm and sgt Johnson
I’m wondering if S3 will be a condensed version of the trilogy or if it’ll be just Halo 1. Could throw in Atriox’s rebellion so that it fits more naturally in the story. I also hope we see Thel as a general in his gold armor before he becomes the arbiter

in season 3 girl (Mckee) will kill John, takes his armor and pretends to be him and never removes helmet. all jokes aside idiots in charge of the show will do something like that. She said she i@ also a demon after all.

A recap is literally and explanation. If you want theories, look for a video that says next season theory lol
@@belshah An explanation would be talking about WHY something happened, not merely stating that it happened. I was looking for WHY it ended the way it did and if something could be tied to the game or whatnot and because of that conclude possible theories. Safe to say this video does not have any of this.
Most ending explained videos are exactly this. Just a recap. They don’t explain or theorize on anything. Not that a show like this needs explanation except for why are they making the damn thing if they want to piss all over everything that made the characters in the game what became legend.
Would have been so much better if guilty spark had the original voice.
As someone who never played the game, I'm really enjoying this series. Can't wait until season 3
Same here. My son loved the game. I am just happy I can enjoy it fresh. I just started watching and binged S1 and S2. I thought it would all be animated a couple years ago and is why I did not watch it sooner. Did not enjoy parts of S2 that seemed to drag on and was confusing. This video helped me understand as it felt like S2 ended with a whimper and not a dramatic cliff hanger.
Just a reminder that the arbiter is a position in the covenant and that this arbiter isn't the one people have in mind
The arbiter that people know and love was in charge of the covenant forces in the first halo game and was blamed for the destruction of the halo ring. He was stripped of his rank and made the new arbiter.
Yeah they named him Var ‘Gatanai. That really tickles the lore geek inside of me because 1: they didn’t name him Thel ‘Vadamee (so our boy didn’t die) and B: they decided to give this arbiter the suffix -ai, which denotes swordsmanship and he is always seen with a sword, so that’s cool.
I googled it and apparently after a certain Arbiter it became a badge of shame?

I'm glad I've seen this as I was wondering to myself "I'm sure the Arbiter title in the game was a badge of dishonour or sumat that's forced on certain elites, yet this Arbiter is high ranking till it leaves with Makee 🤔" makes sense that its a different one, could also be the reason why the Arbiter role can now be a mark of shame in the covenant leading up to best bud Arbiter from the games making his way to the show 🤞🤞

I've liked the show from the get go, but this season definitely picked up the pace and the story a lot!

It's also worth noting that during Chief's fight with the Arbiter, his 117 label is burned off. Signifying that it's John that ultimately wins in the end, not the Master Chief. He straight up just beats Var to half death in a rage.
Eh I doubt it's that deep, his armor just got damaged in a fight.

The symbolism is pretty overt. I mean come on, the guy is named after a Bible verse. Hell, Halo's entire story is based on Exodus. Where the "Flood" destroys the galaxy sent by the Precursors but the "Ark" is used to repopulate the galaxy after everything is dead.
Hell, he even says at the end of the show that his image and his armor is his. The Master Chief and John 117 aren't 2 different people. They're the same person, and Chief is the one who decides what his legacy will be.
They forgot to add that battle damage to his suit when he was talking to Guilty Spark.

That’s not the arbiter we know from the halo games there are multiple arbiters. It is a position of shame. He killed an arbiter, not the arbiter.

We don’t even know if they’re doing a season 3. The season 2 plot twist should’ve only been done if you have multiple seasons coming down the road. If your not guaranteed to have them, then a season with fewer what’s next moments would have been better.
Plus the 2 year long gap between seasons needs to be shorter like next year that’s just my thoughts

All problems began when John removed the pellet that suppresses his emotions. Unless John removed it, no other Spartan would have removed it, leading to the extinction of Covenant.

The Arbiter is a rank within the covenant military, not an individual.
I'm assuming this particular Sangheili was a foreshadow to the next Arbiter after Chief has completed his mission on Halo.

This wasn't the same arbiter you end up teaming up in halo 2, that arbiter got that rank because he is blamed for what happened in halo 1.

Same here. I heard of the game but never played it and thought it was a starship troopers / mech warrior kinda thing but so far I'm loving both season 1&2. The fight scenes with the covenant are raw and visceral. This is a big budget show.

As a longtime Halo fan, I'd invite you to either check out the games or some videos in RUclips detailing the story. The show is good for what it is, but doesn't hold a candle to the story from the games.

Not with plot armor. She's not "dead" dead. Just like kai crashing a whole ship head first and have her whole body perfectly intact rather than vapourize into dust.
Its a fake death to add suspense. Like how cortana was "killed"

It's a good show. I love the games and canon but ive already experienced those so it's wonderful to have a different experience with a story that I love so that I can love it again but for different reasons.

I've enjoyed it so far but I've never played a halo game. We had a playstation growing up. Only gripe I had is I preferred S1 cortana. My friend didn't even notice they'd recast her.

Season 2 is better than season 1 with it getting closer to how the game is played now with the flood introduced at the end of season two.

Good season, definitely better that the 1st. I wouldvr liked to see the og version of Chief arriving on halo in the lifeboat with a bunch of marines, and than the pillar of Autumn driven by Captain Keys crashing down after. Also would've liked to see the flood introduced the og way too, with the covenant accidentally setting them loose on halo.
They should make a prequel game about the Ancient human vs forerunner/flood war

The halo ring can’t be “used as a weapon against your enemies” it literally annihilates every living matter within range. If you activate all 7 rings, you destroy all life in the galaxy
Zeta can be aimed. You can focus the pulse and wipe out cones of the galaxy, but the other Halo rings can't be aimed.

No depleted armor sound effect from the Spartan suits this season which was highly disappointing.

Season 2 was a MAJOR Improvement over Season 1! I hope that Season 3 is influenced from the games and books more than what season 1 did because after all everyone that is watching the show has either played the games and/or read the books. I do not mind a new view or somewhat of a storyline but bringing in a totally new things that were never talked about or discussed in the cannon is not a good thing specially when the writers are making it the Principal part of the story.
That ability that Chief has is called "luck", I remember reading it somewhere on the Fall of Reach book when he was a child and why he was chosen. It probably might not be luck, maybe something else
