Can you do a video explaining the work flow of polishing. I want to see the process of cleaning something Newly casted. The steps and what wheels to use and when. Thank you !
Very nice tutorial, Randy! The templates you designed and fabricated are spot-on. I, too, am interested in the ring soldering mandrel. "Happy Valentine's Day!"
Thanks and I'm happy people are linking the templates. As for the ring soldering mandrel I have links to them in my description along with links to the other things I used in the video 😁👍
Great video! I would love to see you do a tutuorial on how to make a basic gold filled ring. I know the process can be trickier with this material and wanted to see how you would go about it. Thanks for all of your info!
I'm not a fan of filled or plated metals. Mostly because if you cut them out into shapes like I did in this video you will expose the core metal. This will be very obvious over time as it with patina and look darker. I have seen people gold plate the work after to cove you the exposed metal but idk how long that would hold up.
Oh nice. That's was your order that changed my count haha. Well I'm going to be making it right now and I should be shipping them all out tomorrow morning.
love it! I am a bit concerned about your crockpot. I used one for my pickle and it eventually seeped through the ceramic glaze and stopped working one day. When I opened it up it was all rusty inside. Just a warning. I now use a glass jar inside of a baby bottle warmer. I googled to see if anyone else thought of that and found Andrew Barry did for his whole career, he only uses the fancy one for youtube. :D
These videos are amazing thank you so much. Quick question about solder paste, is there a reason you use it here instead of the other types of solder you use in your other videos? Are there specific situations where a paste will not work? Could you use it for example to do the joints in your previous inlay ring tutorials? I ask because it looks way easier and I'm thinking about buying some. Thanks!
I use a 130mm combo mill and it works great for what I do. I also have a 160mm all wire one that comes in very handy for making all kinds of wire. I can remember the last time I order premade wire or sheet metal 😅
@@GomeowCreations thanks for the quick reply, can you also recommend which draw plate / plates, there are so many different kinds. I plan on making link style bracelets.
I honestly don't use draw plates but need to get some. The one thing I do know about them is that it's better to buy the higher quality ones versus the cheap ones. They work so much better and smoother
That's going to be up to you I guess. You can by the tools and materials needed to do this or you can buy the finished work from some that can make it for you.
Thanks for your videos. Could I get the bail template in USA? I’m trying to get them from you web site but is no able to pay it ? Also , Are you selling soldering pasta ?
Yeah you can get them in the USA and I ship all over the world. Send me an email and we can do the order that way. Also I don't sell the solder paste just the holder

Yeah links to everything the description of the video also no problem 👍
@@GomeowCreations Nice..👍😊
Hi how would you go about setting a small Gem in the heart
There are a few ways to do that but I think the simplest way would be to do a flush setting.

Hi, thank you for this video. Do you sell the ring mandrel you soldered the heart on the ring on? If not where can I get that?
I have links to that and all the other stuff I used in the video in the video description 😁👍
👏👏👏👏👏
Is that all you use these days, the solder paste?
I use chips and paste, paste has been really easy to use and place as of late so I'm using it more.
@@GomeowCreations awesome. I think I'll order some.
That shine was from right out of the tumbler?
That was after cleaning them up with 220-1000 grit wheels and 15+ hours in the tumbler. So yes?
@@GomeowCreations oh okay, so sanding->tumbler. It looks really good
Thank you!
Where can I buy this heart templates?
