As a born Detroiter and someone who lived within a mile of Teamsters Local 299 in Det., I am very familiar with Mr Hoffa and have been since I was 11 yrs old. In 1975 when Hoffa disappeared, I was 22 yrs old and recall that day vividly because I had to go to the ER at Sinai hospital that day . As to where he made the phone call, it makes more sense that he would have used a phone outside the restaurant, since he would have still been looking out for the party or parties he was expecting to meet .He
certainly would not have been able to see him/them from inside the place, especially from the basement .

Still one of the great intrigues of American history, simply because there's no reason for it still to be a secret as to what happened to him - and yet it still is. With all the things that are now known about the mafia and the rest of the history of that time, why is it still a mystery where JRH is?
    Good video Scott

The fact that his body is missing, at least as far as we know, is telling. Whoever killed him, made sure the other side knew who killed him. If not, just shoot the motherfucker and leave him on the street, They did not, the right people have to know. It was a warning, we can remove this asshole from the table, no trace, now what do you do? And if the mob killed him, why didnt they make it obvious but not provable? It looks like Mr Hoffa was a small boy in the big boys game, he was killed and they all knew why and who, and went on from there. And why not, the feds may remove him, just to show the mobsters and the crime familys (like the Daleys in Chicago) that you need to behave. Yes you can sell drugs and keep females as your property (prostitutes) but keep out of federal politics. Why not? That Hoffas body was not found, tells us that a serious message was given. Very, serious.

I would say that first of all, if an individual is still on the street and in the mafia, the number 1 rule is keep your mouth shut and most likely the individuals who carried out the hit have passed away and if any of them are still alive, they don't want to spend whatever years they have left in the joint.

Wow Scotty. What a story. This one got to me and I had to read and watch a documentary on Jimmy Hoffa immediately. He lead the life didn’t he? He spoke with conviction and some people didn’t like him. The locations you showed brought the story (Jimmy Hoffa) back to life. His disappearance theories so horrendous. One really wants to know what really happened to him. So many theories and the investigation still open may bring out some truth someday. It will close the chapter for many, especially his family. Thanks Scotty. Take care ❤️✌🏼💕

I truly don't think he is anyplace that he would ever be found. Think about it. Why would you hide a person like that in a place that he would be found at any point in time? It is most likely his body was burned in a crematorium or disposed in a similar manner. Someone like that you would NEVER want to be found even by accident. I work with his great nephew so this topic is very interesting to me.

I remember when I was young, my dad telling me that when Jimmy Hoffa disappeared at that time they're was a lot of construction of bridges and overpasses in Toronto. The story goes that they brought him here and dropped him in one of those cylinders that was eventually filled up with cement, so somewhere along one of the 400 highways,he's incase in concrete holding up a bridge or overpass. R.I.P. Jimmy Hoffa, one day we will know the truth.

Hey Scott this has always been a big mystery with a bunch of crazy theories. There is a theory that he was abducted by UFOs and later used as an experiment for the national reconnaissance office. The main thing many people talked about was the fact that he's a union president who aligned himself with organized crime and used the money from Union Workers to help organized criminals. That's why many people lost respect for him. It's too bad...... I can't imagine if I was his son. Thanks again, be safe and we'll see you later!

Excellent video, as always. I've studied lots of Hoffa material over the years and the Frank Sheeran story matches the circumstances of Hoffa's disappearance. The FBI always had Sheeran at the top of their suspect list and his boss, Russell Bufalino, had the motive and power to order the hit. Most significantly, Hoffa would NEVER have gotten into a car unless someone he trusted was also there. Hoffa trusted Sheeran with his life and, wrongly, believed that Sheeran was more loyal to him than he was to the mob. As for the DNA found inside the home, the fact that it doesn't match Hoffa's DNA isn't important, imo. If the home was used for the Hoffa hit, it's likely the same home would have been used for other hits as well. What IS important is that blood was found underneath the floor in the home's vestibule, the same area where Sheeran claimed he shot Hoffa (which would also have been where other hits in the home were likely carried out and/or the body/bodies would be laying).

It was a three point plan. The hit team, prob Sheeran or Tony Pro.Then the disposal team who got rid of the body. These two teams didn't know eachothers actions. Lastly the mob convinced certain wiseguys of what really happened to Hoffa, only prob was there was scores of different stories, each wiseguy believed the story that they were told or purposely spread the wrong version of events. The perfect plan.

I'd like to think that Jimmy Hoffa didn't die. There's a video of him on The Dick Cavett Show which originally aired on October 31, 1973 and Hoffa struck me as someone who was intelligent enough to stage his own disappearance. Could he still be alive at 108? I highly doubt it, but stranger things have happened. I've been to Detroit, but didn't stay. I got lost at the time and completely forgot about Hoffa having personal ties to The Motor City. You've inspired me to go back one of these days.

Just stumbled on to your vid about Hoffa. I haven't thought about the Jimmy Hoffa case for years. Until the barrel with a body inside showed up at lake mead from the 70s. I would've bet the farm it was Hoffa & had mob-hit written all over it lol. I would've lost that bet though. Awesome vids 👏👏🎬🤘

I Lived in the neighborhood Behind that Restaurant during the mid. 60s and we would take a trail that would take us to that Restaurant so we could go to a store in the plaza next to the Restaurant! I was young like 5 or 6 years old and had to be with my older brother or sister!

My parents used to have a Machus red fox ashtray. I lived in Milford, another place they thought he was.

Hey Scott. Look into my Great Uncle Santo Perrone. He was in the Sicilian mafia in Detroit. Back in April of 1948 he placed a unsuccessful "hit" on Walter Reuther. I'm not saying he had anything to do with Hoffa but my uncle was a powerful man.

I knew ur great uncle, one night in a bar there was a guy who told me to "go get my fucking shine box", we then waited until the bar closed and me and ur uncle and another buddy beat that guy and stabbed him and buried him in northern new york, but then we had to move the body because they were building new apartments where we buried him. Your uncle was a cool cat

Giacalone and Provenzano met with Andy Karagas at Macus a couple days before Hoffa disappeared from there. I drove Andy to that meeting and I sat at another table while they met.

The thing that surprises me the most about it is that someone with as much street sense as Hoffa , didn't sense that the meeting was going to be a hit.. I'm surprised after waiting a few minutes he didn't take off and gotten the hell out of there. .but he was so desperate to get the union back. He should have just let it go. But If he survived that day and left before the meeting participants arrived, who's not to say the mob gets him months later or a year later. If Hoffa would have backed off maybe they leave him alone.

I used to work for a guy on middlebass island (one of ohios erie islands) .
While at his house collecting my check, he was telling me that jimmy hoffa has ties with his property. Sure enough, he showed me (and one of the other guys) a few.photos of jimmy hoffa and a coiple other guys in the very living room that we were standing in. He asked us if we wanted to see something else that was interesting. He said we were absolutely not allowed to take pictures either, unfortunately.
On the back side of his lot, surrounded by thick woods was a small above ground tomb that said the word "duke" at the top of it. There was also a light fixture at the top of the tomb in which he had recently cut off the electricity from. He said he had gotten it on high authority that thats where jimmy hoffa was burried. Anybody else on that island that knows anout that grave site refuses to talk about it. Id like to see this investigated.

That Planet Fitness was Dammans Hardware. That road- Telegraph Road was the inspiration for Dire Straits song Telegraph Road. Legendary Oakland Hills Country club is right around the corner from there. Clubhouse burned to the ground last year.

One of the things that really stuck out to me while watching The Irishman was how they portrayed the Machus Red Fox in the movie. They showed it being out in the remote countryside by itself and not along Telegraph Rd in front of a strip mall. They got the look of the building and front sign pretty well but the location was completely incorrect. Normally Scorsese is a stickler for the little details and normally gets things right but he totally missed the mark on this one.

I love that you showed the photo of the police searching the trunk of the car. Obviously people believing he was put into the trunk. Anyway I look down and see the plate, and “HRH” directly below the trunk. I wonder if that stands for “Hoffa Rode Here.” Obviously i’m not being serious but that popped in my head. I was like whoah kinda creepy. Lol

Noting: this is one of your older videos. That I'm just watching & thank you for sharing. Not just the Mafia he piss off some politicians also maybe knew too much dirt? (there's that) And also a theory where his body could be? Downtown Detroit the Renaissance center was being built at the same time of his disappearance and back then a lot of concrete companies had ties with the Mafia. (Just a Spooky connection) Andiamo restaurant now has a location in the Renaissance center. And in the last few years another theory he's buried in a 50 gallon drum in a scrap yard in New Jersey. There is one fact that we all know Geraldo did not find Jimmy Hoffa. Lol

Definitely not but I’ve found anyone not from there refers to most of south east Michigan as Detroit. I grew up in Auburn Hills but have lived out of state for years and when people ask where I’m from I usually say Detroit area or suburban Detroit because people don’t know where Auburn Hills is.
