Poor Kimberly. Never had a chance to go to Prom, No Graduation, no going to the mall with her friends, no dating guys, getting a permit, no getting engaged, or having children and even getting married. That’s so sad and tragic. Her own parents had to bury her back in early 1978. So sad. And Kimberly had the exact birthday as my dad but four years a apart. 1969-1965. 😢

I’ve been saying the exact same thing about Bundy for years. That he wasn’t as good-looking, charming and crafty as 1970’s lore has made him out to have been. I think it’s just that people were more naive back then, and more easily impressed for lack of a better word? Bundy was nobody special, from a criminal perspective. You said it exactly right - he simply capitalized on the fact that society was ill-equipped back then to deal with a predator like him. He knew it, and he used that fact to his full advantage.

Ted Bundy had wanted to be a Lawyer at some point in his life. He also worked at a "Suicide hotline" along side author #annrule . He was a brilliant..but somewhere in his life ..he took a bad turn in. He chose to kidnap, coerce and murder women. Just like #johnwaynegacy #jeffreydahmer just to name a few. He could have been an outstanding attorney..but he snapped..and engaged in a series of crimes that there was no redemption for.

You nailed Bundy's narcissistic BS in the intro. He was acting and looking for a last minute reprieve. That evil look in his eyes when you froze the footage was him thinking "I'm totally fooling this interviewer". It's so sad about little Kimberly. You would never think she was in danger in a small town at school. I believe she's in a much better place now.

You always do such a GREAT job with these very difficult true crime stories. I think the victims would be proud of the way you honor them, by telling THEIR stories as well. I have met a serial killer, although at the time no one had any idea, but they can be very charming. I can understand why victims become victims. I met Charles Albright, known as the Eyeball Killer in the Dallas area. His girlfriend was the mother of a friend of mine from school, and she brought Charles home to Arkansas to meet everyone over Christmas. I sat across from him at a church dinner, and he was so quiet and charming. Scared me to death when the REAL story eventually came out!

I watch a lot of true crime, and one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to documentaries is that not enough attention is given to the victims. They are the people who deserve to be spoken about, not the killers. So thank you Scott for this video. I hope this series continues (not just with his victims but any true crime victim). As amazing as your true crime videos always are, this one in particular had me in tears. I was a freshman in college in VA when Ted Bundy murdered the coeds at FSU. As horrific as those murders were, and the murders of his other victims, the murder of little Kimberly Leach, just 12 years old, absolutely broke my heart. I can't imagine the terror she suffered during her abduction and that long drive to the wooded area. I imagine her crying out for her mother in her final moments. How depraved, to take an innocent child and throw her in a pigsty after he was done with her. At the very beginning of your video you show a tape of the interview Bundy had a few hours before his execution. I saw that video and it was a total BS move on his part to try to get a stay. The exact moment you stopped the tape, when Bundy stole that sneaky sideways glance at the interviewer (to see if he was buying his act), was the exact moment that sent chills down my spine when I watched it. There is the REAL Ted Bundy, master manipulator and malignant narcissist, in full display. He had zero remorse for any of his victims. Like other sadistic psychopaths, such as Dennis Rader (BTK) and the Canadian "killer couple", if Bundy had not been caught, he would have continued stalking and killing women and young girls until he was too old or physically incapable of doing it. He KNEW he was a monster but couldn't stop, and he didn't want to stop - he enjoyed it too much. You're right, the electric chair was much too quick for Bundy. The worst sentence for these malignant narcissists is to stick them in solitary without any kind of social interaction. They crave being the center of attention and being alone in their own company is the worst possible punishment.
This video was one of your best true crime videos thus far. Your compassion, and the heart and thought that you put into each of these videos, puts them in a class by themselves. Your subscribers can see how much work you put into these videos, and how emotionally taxing they are. This was a beautiful and very touching tribute and I have no doubt that Kimberly was listening as you stood there next to her grave.🌹 You are the ABSOLUTE BEST in this genre. 👏👏👏

I'm one who encouraged you to do serial killers. In the USA the media turns them into superstars! I think it's Norway, where a criminal is not even photographed or video taped to alleviate this. But one SK expert anaylized why were fascinated with criminals, he said," they're like great white sharks, rare and deadly " So they peak ppls interest. Another guy did all the Utah, Colorado landmarks, I'm very interested in the Washington ones. We cannot get around the interest. I study dark pyschology. I've been studying and reading about them since 1980!!! This guy was particularly evil, in he had NO CONSCIENCE, NO REMORSE! Most don't. Only a few have apologized. Scary stuff, great video! God bless

That interview with James Dobson was a piece of work.
You can see right through Bundy.
His attempts to manipulate are incredibly obvious while he sits there believing he is more intelligent than everyone else.
I have researched him a little bit and the case of Kim Leach is overwhelmingly heartbreaking and disturbing.
    Good video, dude.
BTW, that is a very good idea to break up the Bundy story into individual segments as you cross through or near locations of importance.
    Looking forward to more.

You know what's cool about that leaving the rock on the grave thing you do? Those rocks will last probably a million years. They may end up in someone's garden, in a walk way, buried under the ground, in someone's fish tank, or terrarium, at the bottom of a river, in the ocean, but they'll always have a little piece of that person with them.

Thank you for this video Scott. It`s often forgotten that there is such after effects from tragic stories like this. Kimberly`s brother
was 5 weeks younger than me and I`ve often wondered about how incredibly difficult it must have been for him to grow up
trying to adjust to what happened to his kid Sister. The trauma her parents had to deal with is impossible to fathom.

He goes to that same house, but he looks to get much closer and different angles, but def the same place. Crazy all that happened so close. I was only 2 years old at the time.

He got his ass kicked in Pensacola around Feb 15, 1978 by officer David Lee...Last time he got arrested... I remember in the days leading up to Jan 24, 1989 hearing my mom and her friends saying they would gladly turn their lights off to give the state extra "juice" to fry his rear end...Good stuff as always...Thanks for sharing!!!!

She would’ve been my age. I remember 1978 as being fun and innocent, not really a serious care in the world, playing w/friends and riding my bike. Disco music was popular and Saturday Night Fever dances were all the rage. I think I even had a similar haircut as Kimberly. Can’t even begin to imagine the horror she must’ve went through at the hands of this monster. At that age, you think that evil doesn’t exist. Prayers for her precious soul! Thank you Scott for making this video and paying tribute to her and not letting her be a forgotten victim!🙏🏼🙏🏼

Kimberley is the youngest victim that we know of. I still believe he killed Ann Marie Burr when Ted was in his teens, I believe she was 8. We also don’t know how many he killed after leaving Colorado on his way to Florida. He was a monster

It’s so sad to see this. She’s would have only been a few years older than me. Your right. She did miss so much! NOBODY EVER does documentaries on the victims. ONLY the killers. I understand they want to study them and find out why they kill but no mention of the poor victims. Who knows. One of his victims could have gone on to do something spectacular. Thank you for this.

Hi Scott, just watched the video. I think you did a good job focusing on Kimberly. I have a sister around the same age. And the whole video I was thinking about how old she'd be etc... The life unlived. So sad. And over the time that you've mentioned it, I've thought more about your idea of a cell shrinking over the years. I agree with you. But sadly, the justice system would never allow it. Sadly it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment. Anyway... I need to watch something happy now. Take care and safe travels 🤗

I remember when Ted was arrested, escaped and yet again. I was a teen living in Florida for a couple of years when he killed Kimberly and the others. So I got this book THE ONLY LIVING WITNESS in 1983 This book scared the living crap out of me! In fact, I credit this book for making me aware of all the tricks killer's can use to lure women, forget that Ann Rule book, her's does not compare in the least. The only living witness should be required reading for ALL young girls. Teach them how evil some men can be. I never thought Ted to be handsome...average. But, he was smart in how he tricked women, making himself appear so helpless and nice.

Thank you so much for doing these video's. I am not american myself so little chance I'll ever visit these locations myself. Absolutely horrible what has happened to these young women. It is indeed a fascinating and tragic story, and I certainly think it is good to never forget this story, to not forget what has happened to these victims. I continue to mention the names of the victims in my prayers.
