We did hells revenge in a stock 2000 ZR2 Blazer with 31 inch tires.... then I turned around and did it again a day later.. dummy. But we made it each time.. with a little bit of use of the rock sliders and a small battle scar on the rear bumper to show for it. Now I have a 2024 ZR2 Colorado with 33's. Should be no problem right? :)
After driving them on road and off road, we prefer the Chevy. It is quieter on the road, has better seating, and comes with heated seats for less money than the tacoma package would have been. It's also better off road. The DSSV shocks have an amazing ride, the stock tires are great and don't pop on a gravel road, and the flex is awesome. Overall, it's a really nice truck and has a lot of advantages over the tacoma.
I love our Tacoma, but the Chevy ZR2 is way better off road. Honestly, we would have turned the Tacoma around and went back to the parking lot exit and would not have attempted the real exit in our Tacoma. The extra ground clearance and the lockers make this trail look easy in a lot of sections.
Wow 😮! Great job! Way to blaze that trail for that Jeep behind you. You guys proved how important driver ability over vehicle ability is. RESPECT
Thanks!
Agree! 👍👍
Nice video. The narrator did a great job spotting that trail and guiding that ZR2 along the trail. Well done!
Thanks! 👍I was fun overall and was a good way to spend the day.
I am continuously impressed with what our zr2 s will do thanks for showing it
Glad to show it off 😉
The spotter sure did a lot of hiking. Good job.
Thanks! I think it was over 10k steps for this, 😆 🤣

Thanks! That was VERY informative. And wow, that is impressive for a factory vehicle!
Thanks! It did way better than we imagined it would. Glad we took it and not the tacoma.
Pretty damn nice for bone stock. Great spotting.
Thanks! It was a wild ride!
Is your ZR2 100% stock (tires & suspension)?
Awesome driving and spotting!!👍🏻
OK -- thanks for showing me. Crossing it off my list. You guys did great
Thanks! It was a wild ride!
Great job getting out there
Thanks!
He's seriously become a good off road driver 👍👍....I remember the beginning, lol.. Not so much.
Lake Havasu 🌞 Az
Thanks! It's amazing what you can do with practice. 😉
Nice work! Looks like you could air down a touch for better traction. I just picked up my 2023 ZR2 and have yet to get it out, but soon! Stay safe!
We had it down to 22psi. We could have went a little more, but didn't want to give up any more ground clearance.
@@legendarytrails Cool - happy trails!
Great job on picking lines
Thanks! There was only really one to pick from on the last part of the trail. That kept it easy, lol.
Awesome video when Dane went up that steep rock face 😂
What angle are you sliders ?
Thanks 😊
Thanks! It was a wild ride. Our sliders are just the stock ones from chevy. Not sure what angle they are.
Wow! Is your ZR2 100% stock (tires & suspension)?
Yep. 100%
The mighty Zr2
It is mighty!

A ZR2 with 33s should be fine. Taking the right line helps out a lot.
which do you guys like better...your taco or the chevy and why?

Agreed. Traded my trd off road in for a zr2. Best decision i ever made
Nice rig !
Thanks!
U should get the zr2 bison
Just imagine what you guys can do if you bought a Jeep Rubicon!
True, maybe 🤔
Robby Layton did that trail with a limo....
@NomadGringo not the real exit.
I did fordyce in my zr2. Drive line hill did live up to it’s name 🎉
So what was the tire pressure at? Did ya stay full for clearance or air down?
We went down to 22psi. We didn't go any lower since we wanted to have better ground clearance.
@@legendarytrails ok cool. That’s what I do on my Trail Boss is 22-24 cause I don’t have bead lockers
@@mtower235 yeah, without bead locks we only go lower to about 15ish in the sand. 20-22 is were we prefer to run when we air down.
I do 12 on stock wheels and 255/80r17 at3w falkens. I’ve actually done 10psi with the swampers also on stock wheels.
@@dadsafranticthat’s good to know. I can’t go that low in the mud here
U should get zr2 bison
Should always go 4 wheeling with a buddy never know if something is going to break or you get hung up
We would, but we really don't have any wheeling buddies.
Is your new Tacoma better off road than that Chevy ZR2? I have a Tacoma 2023 TRD off road lunar rock. That ZR2 looks bigger than the Tacoma.
