      @ALMX5DP Yes. If the the truck is shut off during the update. That is the glitch the system continues to attempt the update but can't. This is where the software problem happens. Once interrupted, it can't just start again. It's also not fixable at the dealership level. The Radio( gm speak for infotainment controler)unit has to be replaced.

    I’m guessing $58,995 for the ZR2 Bison. The truck looks awesome with 35” tires that actually fill the wheel well. It’s unfortunate that 90% of these trucks will be mall crawlers and never see dirt or rocks that it was designed for.
    The big negative that isn’t talked about is the small block V8 fuel mileage from a supposedly frugal 2.7L turbo 4-banger under the hood. I think owners will be lucky to see 17mpg during normal driving.

    • @nihontoman
      @nihontoman 8 месяцев назад +2

      I've seen mall crawler arguments and I kinda understand the situation, but at the same time, there are some people that genuinely benefit from Daily driving trucks like these. Take my father for example - he was always a higher ground clearance sporty wagon (think audi allroad) kinda guy, but he recently had to drive around my nissan xterra pro4x and he was hooked. He only complained about a stiffer/jouncier ride while driving the xterra, so we started our searches, and it turns out, a RANGER RAPTOR met all of his requirements: 1) it is fast, 2) it has good offroad capability, 3) it is very comfortable and maneuverable enough, especially for a truck, 4) it can haul 4 people and lot's of stuff, 5) it isn't a pig on gas. 6) it is not too big for european streets, like the f150 is. 7) he can take his granddaughter on small camping trips in the nature in his truck, and 8) he can daily drive it
      I mean yes, he could've bought something else, but it would be a compromise in some ways, but this thing just makes him smile when he's behind the wheel, and that is what counts in the end....

    The other big issue is reliability; these new trucks have already been proven to be unreliable.

      Not unusual for manufacturers to have first year gowing pains. Still an awesome truck but I would wait until the second model year.

      These trucks haven’t even been out a year yet and have had no issue’s except for some small electrical glitches which is normal for such high tech machines in their first few months of production. You’re already grabbing pitchforks ready to deem the entire truck “unreliable”. Watch less TFL, guys.

    Balls out at 35 PSI ... clear sign that the overall tech compensates well for novice users given it did the trail with minimal effort. Too bad it's DOA for real off-road users given all the tech that can brick it, and that urbanites-only parking brake button. Chevy called the socal bros, not the people who make vehicle cult followings happen by using the vehicle to their limits and keeping them running for decades. 👎👎

      @@PeakDecline I said "real off-road users" mate ... I wasn't talking about urban dandies who do the easy stuff where an electronic parking brake is sufficient. 🐄 Graded roads and National Parks don't count as off-roading. Lots of new vehicles in those spaces.

      The new Tacoma... doesn't have long travel suspension with wide track axles. It doesn't have a front locking differential. It doesn't have a winch capable front bumper or 5 skid plates. It doesn't have 35" tires. The Tacoma even in TRD Pro and Trailhunter trim is a level below what Chevy, Ford, and Jeep are offering.

      It's a better rock crawler. The 90hp and multilink reat on the ranger outs the ranger over it on anything a bit faster.
