The fact that she can say "sing with me" at 3:24 like a precious child, but still keep the beat of the song, and still hit the notes a millisecond after is like the sweetest little things and I smile everytime. What did we do to deserve Marina, am I right?
Omg, this song made me realize a lot right now. I'm already 19 now and the last five years I wasted most of the time being sad, angry or just empty while sitting alone at home thinking about what I've done wrong. At least I used a lot of that time trying to find out who I was, who I wanted to be and where I wanted to go. I didn' t came to a point actually, maybe I just say this because I don't want that time to be completely wasted. But to all these people out there, old or still young: I hope you'll find your way to live, I hope you'll find happiness.

She helped me feel less alone, she made me realize there's others who have struggled like me.
She deserves more credit for how good she is. It's weird because I always thought maybe she was just too deep and her songs like this were just too sad and that's why the mainstream audience didn't like it, but, we have no problem with half naked music videos, topics like drugs and alcohol constantly in popular songs. But a song that hints at eating disorders and NO, NO WE CANT HAVE THAT ON THE RADIO. I just think it's stupid.
Shes not mainstream cos she hasn't sold herself out, theres no other explanation. Shes gorgeous, her music is amazing and her songs are all her own - shes brilliant

True, but the main reason this isn't on the radio is because it wasn't a single, so it wasn't played, considering most songs that are played on the radio are singles. I have heard Primadonna play almost 4 times because it was a single.
I personally believe this is the best song she has ever written. She covers so many emotions and troubles in one song and it's quite beautiful how many people can relate to this and share their experiences with her on another level. Your Girl Gigi i was at the neon nature tour and her voice sounded significantly less raspy, her vocal range has changed since her surgery. that's pretty obvious when you listen, but yeah she's not in pain anymore and she sounds amazing
You don't know 1D so don't judge them. They're not only pretty faces, you only have to hear them live and you will see it. It's different if you don't like them. But yes, Marina deserves to be more known, she's so fucking talented.
I think what 'itsTheGirlOnFire' is saying is that 1D is a tad overrated. Now, I am certainly not bashing 1D in any way, everybody has different music taste. What I am getting at here is that they mostly sing about one topic: "Oh baby you're so beautiful, let's have fun! I love you girl!" That can kind of get boring for some people. Again, I am not trying to bash what any of you listen to; nonetheless, Marina creates songs that are more mature, that have more substance. They're all not about meeting somebody and wanting to get into their pants, but it's about having an actual relationship with somebody, the fear of falling in love, wanting love but fearing the consequences, not knowing if the person you have feelings for has the same feelings for you etc. She sings about things more complicated than just a crush, and that's probably why she thinks that 1D shouldn't be more popular than Marina.

10 years ago I would often listen to this song as an angsty teen. Fast forward I am almost 25 today and I am able to understand the layers of the song more thouroughly, looking back at my adolescence

Your Girl Gigi i was at the neon nature tour and her voice sounded significantly less raspy, her vocal range has changed since her surgery. that's pretty obvious when you listen, but yeah she's not in pain anymore and she sounds amazing

You don't know 1D so don't judge them. They're not only pretty faces, you only have to hear them live and you will see it. It's different if you don't like them. But yes, Marina deserves to be more known, she's so fucking talented.

I think what 'itsTheGirlOnFire' is saying is that 1D is a tad overrated.
Now, I am certainly not bashing 1D in any way, everybody has different music taste. What I am getting at here is that they mostly sing about one topic: "Oh baby you're so beautiful, let's have fun! I love you girl!"
That can kind of get boring for some people. Again, I am not trying to bash what any of you listen to; nonetheless, Marina creates songs that are more mature, that have more substance. They're all not about meeting somebody and wanting to get into their pants, but it's about having an actual relationship with somebody, the fear of falling in love, wanting love but fearing the consequences, not knowing if the person you have feelings for has the same feelings for you etc. She sings about things more complicated than just a crush, and that's probably why she thinks that 1D shouldn't be more popular than Marina.
I love her so much. She is so vulnerable during this performance, so perfect. I hope her break doesn't last too long.
