+Demi Jaymes Her voice was about to fall apart. She had ruptured vocal cords at some point during the EH era because of improper technique. That's why her voice was so raspy then--it was a symptom of something being badly wrong with her vocal cords. If you listen to anything from Froot, her voice is a lot smoother because she's started training her voice properly. That rasp wasn't a natural part of her voice apparently.
I think this may have been during the healing process of her vocals.. she injured them in a similar fashion to how Adele had injured hers is my understanding of it.
Her acoustic versions especially 😩🤍 shes so raw. Her vocal range always gave me chills, her melodies still do to this day. And I won't even get started on how stunning she is because the woman's a goddess
Honestly the lack of belting is one of the reasons I love Marina. In my opinion too many vocalists belt and can't pull it off. Belting is one of those things that you either need to do well at all.
