She is so underrated, seriously, I haven't heard of her till today. I love every single one of her songs :0 Why don't people talk about her?
She has had a lot of commercial success but she isn't a household name artist or supported by the radio much so she is bubbling under mainstream status but she is still fairly popular especially for starting out as a DIY UK indie act. She has written entire albums on her own which is almost unheard of and she makes such a wide range of music she never gets old I'm glad you found her I hope you continue to enjoy her music💿
She’s the best !! 1st & 2nd album we’re pretty commercial and radio played the rest not so much but she’s got a big fan base and sells out on tours + she’s stated she’s happy with her success and doesn’t want to be big and mainstream

Also, it would be pronounced like 'viDa' because that's the American way to pronounce it. Although Marina is not American, many singers with different accents pronounce things in songs the American way because it sounds more musically in opinion of many or something lol

I think I finally understand this video. I used to think this song and video was the least meaningful Marina has ever done. How wrong I was. Marina is basically accepting the fact that she doesn't need to wait on someone to be happy. "Living la dolce vita, life couldn't get much sweeter, don't you give me a reason, that is not the right season" YEAH! And also, you can see her in some shots like she's waiting for the man who is just staring at her. I think symbolizing that this man was always there, but he never wanted to be a part of Marina's life in the first place, and when she finally had him, she wasn't feeling happy, when you see them both hugging, they look still and not happy. And then, finally, when Marina decides to be happy on her own, you see her shining in the center of the ballroom with a beautiful dress, symbolizing that she is gonna be the light of her own life, because she doesn't have to wait on nothing to be happy. This could be just me, but OMG.
