They said, 'The cell layout was supposed to even out the field. You answered a bunch of my questions. Can you do a test at 24 and 30"? Maybe compare dimmer settings. You are my go to guy for RELIABLE info.
I run this light in a 3ft by 4 ft and my first yield was about 12 ounces of dense buds. Very impressed
Nice. I just began my first grow, autoflowers about 2 weeks in. I'm in a 2x4. I'm excited. Did you do photos and how many weeks total grow time was it?
@@robertfelts8773 yea I did photos, 9 weeks bloom and about 4 weeks veg so about 3 months total. Started with clones i got from a local dispensary
Wow man, I thought it would be so much longer. If I'm hearing correctly, a mother plant I take clones from and get the clones ready to move to a veg/flower tent then I only need 3 months in the veg/flower tent?
That's worth it for me, if that's how it is I'm sold. I was doing autos im a 2x4 and hoping to get 9 ounces in 3 months after a few grows. 3 ounces a month is my goal where I'm totally happy and content, and I don't care if it is photos or autos or if a fairy godmother leaves it under my pillow.
I need 36 ounces a year under what ever system I'm doing. That is enough for me to be good and for me to take care of others around me

You tested the heat on the light itself, I was hoping to know the temp inside the tent with the light on for about an hour?
Just ordered mine today.
It’s been two months of using my new light, and I absolutely love everything about it. It’s just that you can only grow maybe two decent size plants under this light. The footprint is maybe 2’ by 4’
Honestly i think this light is better suited for a 2x3 because those corners are not getting enough light, and the light fixture is too short. Maybe if the middle was separated further it would be better.

Deffently a cool running light. I think it's more suitable for a 2x3 you might pull a 4x4 with 2 of them.

@@samthoma2719 I've had to hang them a bit further but there are alot of variables to why that might be.

bought the sf4000 and was shocked about how well it grows,and umoles were great,even edges were huge,my 1000watt hps is gone now,cmh,and a sf4000 in a 6x6 its amazing
and sf aluminum is same as in mac books,the aluminum in mars is just standard grade dont dissipate heat anywhere as good as the sf metal

Honestly this light is good for a 2 x 3 flowering footprint but you might yield more using it in a 2x4 more space more buds!
What dial number should I set it for a steady grew and what dial number should I put it on to veg
Bought the 1000 and 2000 for a 2x4 tent.
They changed the light layout on the new sf 2000 lights. The lights are more concentrated on the outer corners.

if i use this in a 2x3 cloudlab 632 tent would i be ok for seed to flower?

Im using a sf1000 and sf2000 in a 3x3. Entering week 6 of flower on my runtz so far so good. The dimmer is very useful.

@@saudade2745 If you go on grow diaries and look up PlainfieldPuff, you can see for yourself ! I The runtz came out amazingggg. I run 2x sf2000s in my tent now for the extra yield. 300watts was enough though for the 1 Runtz plant though considering I didn’t fill out the entire 3x3, probably only about 50%. Still learning a lot , yielded a cool 180 about though, pretty weak, but that’s due to my inexperience I’d say . This run is coming out much much better. Expecting 400 at least this time . Full canopy . Don’t get me wrong though, I could’ve probably pulled 300 tho from the sf1000 + sf2000 knowing what I know now. For LED the estimate is about (WATTs x 1-1.5 = yield.)

This is great meanwell was listening by putting the dimmer on top I have the sf4000
Meanwell have nothing to do with where the dimmer Switch is. That is down to the light manufacturer.
Will height matter if you have the optimal ppfd range? My grow tent is getting to hot and was thinking of lowering the dimmer and height to cool up my tent .
I just got one, the light at 86 and 100 degrees is way to hot in my opinion, my old 2 1200 watts philzon lights together didn't even past 82 on a hot day
I have the same light and same laser thermometer. I get 130+ on the driver temps after it’s been running a while...did you test after light was on for several hours already or no? Wondering if I got a lemon. Also FYI I’ve noticed that laser thermometer can’t read metal back plate temp properly so even tho it felt like 130 super hot the laser thermometer read only like 100. Pointing the laser at a black spot on the stickers on the driver seems to give the most accurate numbers.
Thats some bs i bought this light like a month ago and now it has a dimmer knob lol... mine didnt have one just the dumb screw

Hello , is that spider farmer 2000 can be good for a 60x60x160 tent plz ?
imo, for such a small tent sf-1000 would be more than enough...
maybe you should start from there, and if you later purchase larger tent then you can upgrade and add another one, either sf-1000 or sf-2000. the nice thing is that these units can be chain connected.

hey chris, is the dimmer available for a diy on the meanwell or did i luck out by buying an earlier version of the sf2000 which doesn't have a dimmer apart from the one on the underside of the driver?
No all older sf leds come with a dimmer on the bottom

my driver has the dimmer underneath behind a rubber grommet, i was wondering whether there's a way of "updating" my driver so it has a knob to dial in the brightness rather than me having to turn a screwdriver every time

I have a buddy who has about 50 of these for veg and has had no problems.
Spider farmer/ Meizhi are crooks! They would not honour their warranty! It may be an ok light, but if you have problems with....good luck!
Couldn’t agree more I have been contacting them for a month or more trying to get my light replacement It really sucks because all in all I think they’re a great life but if you don’t have a customer service then that goes out the window
depends where you buy them .. im in the UK and got one from the UK any problems with it will be dealt with in the UK so i dont have to muck about with chyna ..

Mehezi Aka spiderfarmer is shit. Tho they're improving with having an actual dimmer.
I had to send 2 back for them overheating and shutting off. One got so hot the glue or epoxy whatever it is started to peel.
They should've thought ahead and added the dimmer knob and daisy chain functionality from jump.
Spider Farmer then please send the 4000 and it will return the 2000 email me pls

no it didnt,sf is using samsung 301h,meanwell driver,there L90 same as hlg,marshydro is not
@@magnumopus9631 yea i was wrong it was the sp3000. Still cheaper and better. Look up Dr MJ COCO, the sp3000 covers areas better hen this for less. The par reading for the corners are only around 231 which is trash.. If anything the Samsung grow light by Samsung themselves will be the best, well because its from Samsung

I had my light for 3 weeks the driver blew, total problem from the start wish I hadn’t have bought this light crap.
@John James Rambo like it stopped working the driver just stopped. But they did change it.
@John James Rambo hi it was a grow room for seedlings with lots of vents and fan only run light for max 12hrs in the evening and brought the plants out in the day, so it wasn’t running for long, one of them things not everything can be 100%, the new one however is running like a dream.
