I sold a couple of cars through Silverstone/iconic, never again, they have huge sellers fees as well as the buyers premium. They ask you for the cars early to take pics then charge extortionate storage costs before auction day, then high transport fees from where they ask you to deliver the car originally on to the sale venue.... They make a lot of easy money.😮

Hey Mark! Audi bought Lamborghini in 1998 NOT 2005! The Gallardo was a project launched when Lamborghini were under German ownership. The biggest change between the 2005 and 2006 model years was lower gearing (in particular a lower 1st gear for quicker acceleration out of the box) and a very small increase in power.

I was at this classic show at NEC , id booked to drive Mk1 golf gti around the nec but someone on the Saturday burnt out the clutch so i couldnt drive my dream car on the sunday 😢 great show though.

Absolutely mental prices for barely average cars and vans. Once they completely phase out combustion engines from the roads, all these "classics" will barely be worth more than scrap value.

thng is 2005-2008 gallardo are riddled with issues,you need to stick to 2009 plus manual is worth it but egear but long as it has rear glass bonnet, rear reverse camera, front lift

My wife also wants a range rover but they do drop value soo much, I'm surprised people pay so much for them, and here in Canada an SVR is huge bucks for an SUV. the Defender is one I'm not too sure on, the old ones have sky rocketed in value but the new ones don't have the offroad capability of old defenders or land cruisers
I'm sat looking at my own 1965 Fiat 500 with only 18000 miles on the clock, you've got a great car there, and it will never depreciate. Great choice. 30k isn't a wild price either for a D with full restoration.

The buyers premium at these auctions is over the top, you're already at risk buying without a test drive or proper inspection. 20% takes the shine off finding a good deal.

Brilliant video Mark, you obviously know your wife and what she likes, let’s be honest if you wanted to get an SVR you could there are 100’s out there and buying big powerful SUV’s is something you’ve got a couple of, however what you bought was original and rare (year, colour etc) and Jayne’s delight was genuine. I believe over time it will increase in value, keep it maintained and 30k will be peanuts for it. Great job in putting your wife first before your love of fast rally cars👍🇬🇧
