Were any of you guys like me, watching the Krusty Krab Training Video as a kid and always thought there was some sort of TV connection issue before they told the formula? 🤣 As I got older, I got so mad when I realized they intentionally did that, but now whenever people react to it now, I just laugh!

That was exactly me! It wasn’t until I saw it on DVD I finally realized, “oh, it’s part of the episode 😞…”
I always thought it was an issue with the tv station messing up the time management and got angry that they had so many ads.
Honestly, props to Mr. Krabs for vibing to young people's music to the point of requesting it on the radio and dancing on the table!

Not gonna lie, "Electric Zoo" was my jam for a few years. I still love it. Also, "Krusty Krab Training Video" is my favorite episode, period. The presentation is top knotch. And the part where they cut off the secret formula at the end frustrated me so much as a kid.
I didn't know until recently that was what the music was called.
Wet Painters and the Krusty Krab Training Video are the perfect episode duo. This is what I call peak Spongebob.
They were cooooking with Wet Painters, it's just back to back to back gags the whole time. Only rivalled by Band Geeks imo

And then they eventually went into some weird “excessive body horror” era. The episode where they dropped a couch on Squidward’s foot and drew his toenail coming off in extreme detail (even giving him a toenail just to lose it) grossed me out so much as a kid
Yup! Every single episode from seasons 1-3 is a banger and highly memorable. I still think some of the later seasons have great episodes, but as a whole nothing compares to pre-movie Spongebob.

My life was forever changed when I saw how scallops swim IRL. I thought it was just exaggerated in the show, but no, that is EXACTLY how scallops swim in the sea.

Only SpongeBob can make an episode dedicated to a training video, and have it be the best thing ever
If I had a nickel for every "Mr. Krabs as a robot" episode I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but weird that it happened twice. Additionally Krab Borg is eerily similar to the Dick Van Dyke Show episode It May Look Like a Walnut in which characters watch a creepy movie and become paranoid it's starting to become real and it's played for laughs. I've never seen it listed as an inspiration for this episode but I don't think it's a coincidence these two are some of the best eps of their shows!

So when I was a kid and I saw Junior the clam flying like that I thought that was just cartoonish, fast forward years later to me just randomly finding a video of a clam swimming exactly like that
"Robot or Capitalist" sounds like a game show where they show you quotes that were either quotes from a robot or Mark Zuckerberg tweets😂😂😂😂
That training video troll was even worse my first time watching it on cable cause instead of fading to black then rolling credits like they did on Paramount+, it would abruptly cut straight to commercial breaks confusing you into thinking the network screwed up by accidentally cutting to commercials early or something 😂

You guys would be right about the clam episode, cuz even back in the day my mom had problems with me and sister watching it, and likes to blame how we acted on SpongeBob. So yeah people would most likely try to cancel the episode maybe even the show.

I like to believe that Spongebob and Squidward had Madness for Two. A condition where one's psychotic outburst/paranoia is spread to a second person that is in close proximity for long periods of time, ie a work environment.
Squidward would not normally be the one to jump at a crazy theory like that even if he DID go crazy.
Honestly these videos unironically bring me so much joy, like my day is absolutely brightened when I see the SpongeBob content

The Suds, Krab Borg and Wet Painters are a few episodes where Mr. Krabs isn't an outright money-hungry capitalist and more of a father figure to Spongebob. We need more episodes with him like this.
As a kid, I had no awareness/knowledge of what a rough cut was. So I genuinely thought there was an interruption every time the end of the training episode came up
Also, the song “Electric Zoo”-I dropped a drum and bass remix of that in a DJ set recently and the people went crazy for it. So glad they appreciated that lol
I don't know if anyone has said this but since you are watching on Paramount Plus you're going to miss the episode Mid-Life Crustacean. It got banned because of a joke at the end of the episode

During "The Hooks" episode, the customer did in fact ask "and can you make that to go?" for his order when Mr. Krabs came in ranting. Squidward provided a bag. So food can be taken out
The training video is probably one of my top episodes from Spongebob just from how different it is.
My father once jumped out of the attic window when he was 8, dressed as batman on halloween so Junior just yeeting himself out the window for no reason is totally accurate

When the training video was first aired with me as a young kid, I was so ready for the formula! Pen and paper ready, but when it cut off I thought the TV or something messed up lol! This was when TIVO was still a thing, so I'd rewind it only to learn that it was intentional in the episode! x^D

When you get to The Great Snail Race, seeing as Mid Life Crustacean is not on Paramount+, I recommend getting either the Season 3 DVD or the Sponge for Hire DVD. The episode is on either one if you so choose to include it. You gotta include Mid Life Crustacean.

The ending of the Kristy Krab training video was THE talk of my school after it first aired. We legit thought something happened when it cut off.
I remember the first time I saw the episode, there was a fully-enunciated "is...-" but I think every subsequent airing had the version that was just like here

24:20, There actually has been an instance where a customer orders food to go at the Krusty Krab in the episode, Hooky. After Mr. Krabs starts screaming about the hooks in the beginning, the customer says "Can you make that to go?" And Squidward says, "You don't know how lucky you are" before the customer walks away with his bag.
24:08 there was actually an episode about that in later seasons, some time between S4-10
In the episode with the Fishing Hooks before Mr Krabs comes storming the Krusty Krab, the customer tells Squidward ".. can you make that to go". Then Squidward tells him you don't know how lucky you are before he walks off
I clearly remember as a kid having Spongebob DVD that started with Krab Borg, and it was probably my favorite DVD. Wet Painters and Chocolate with Nuts are just so good
They can leave with the food if they want. In that same episode, squidward ask “will that be for here or to go”. Also Patrick ate a krabby patty at 3 in the morning on another episode.

As someone who's watch training videos for Christmas jobs I can tell you that the Krusty Krab Training Video episode is an accurate lampoon.
22:10 verbs are actions. A squidward could have been a noun but its being used here as an adjective. If it was "Squidwarding" then itd be a verb
I think thr Krusty Krab is meant to be more of a small business than a big corporation like McDonald's. Those, especially when the episode was made, don't always have drive through windows as frequently as bigger places.
The editing on these new videos are pretty good, shout-out to whoever edits them

In the hashslinging slasher episode Squidward asks “who would want a Krabby Patty at 3am?” And then they cut to Patrick in his house saying “Oh boy, 3am!” with a Krabby Patty in his bed. Hope that answered you question about Krabby patties never leaving the building.

Rock-a-Bye Bivalve used to be one of my favorite episodes. It's full of some of the best jokes. Actually, all 4 of these are really good.
