I have a 2008/4500 !! Over 500K !! 12-14mpg ! 6.6 ! Truck has taken us all over the Country !! Very pleased ! VALUE built in ! Little too much plastic ? Rattles n squeaks ! Chase them down,n repair or restabalize n find another one !! Can’t imagine replacing it !! It has to die an EXPENSIVE repair !! BUT a GUH has a standing offer of $8K 😬😬
I have a 2009 c5500 diesel. Just replaced the TCM, (faulty TCM is why the previous owner sold it) and while that solved one issue, I now have another. The ABS light and brake warning light was on even before I replaced the TCM, so I thought that was why, but it's still on and now I'm having trouble getting it to shift out of park. It's like it thinks I'm not pressing the brake pedal. Also bought a cheap bi directional scan tool to initiate a dpf regen, but because of the new issue, it won't do that either. The scan comes up with an error for the elcectronic brake module. With a C0550 code in the details with the discription ECU MALFUNCTION. I've never worked on vehicles before but the TCM was right up front and easy to replace, but if I'm not wrong, aren't the electronic brake module and the ECU/ECM, 2 different parts? Also can anyone tell me where these are located? I'm guessing the same rack that holds the TCM but not sure what either one looks like since every vehicle is different and I'm not sure if the ones I'm seeing online are the right ones. Once I know where to look I can pull them out to get part numbers, just need to know where to find them and if I'm looking for 2 different things or just one. This c4500 looks exactly like my c5500 under the hood so everything should be located in the same area. Hopefully I'm not going to have to save money for another year, with a 35ft bus parked on the street, and have to pay another $700. Lol
That's a new one to me. You should join the Kodiak Dynasty page on Facebook. Over 50,000 guys are on there, and one of them has probably had this issue. I hope that helps you.

@travisthetreeman Thanks. I will look into it. You wouldn't happen to know where those 2 modules are though, do you?
@@zero00044 i dont, sorry
@@travisthetreeman That's OK. Someone on another video answered for me. Thanks anyway.
When the abs and brake light came on did you notice if the gauges and radio go out as well.
On my truck, it did not.
