I started cooking after seeing you 10 years ago and i start enjoyed cooking. And I became a cook by profession. Thank you for your work. "from the bottom of my heart"
I made a ham tonight with this glaze and I have to tell you it was literally mind boggling. I was doubtful it would be as good as he said but I was wrong. This is absolutely legit and I highly recommend it. So simple yet so tasty. 10/10.
Oh Jamie, Jamie, Jamie, am I allowed to say I love you? I just got your Jamie Oliver 5 ingredient Quick and Easy food cook book and I am so excited to make the dishes for my family. Thank you for blessing us with your talent. xoxo
in Sweden we do it with sweet mustard, and egg and some bread crumbs. just rub it in and then in the oven untill its nearly burn(10 minutes ish) let it cool and you serve it with swedish hardbread and some more mustard. its called "julskinka" roughly translated to Christsmas ham
I mean i love julskinka but got to say his version looks pretty damn good too. And i like julskinka on vörtbröd aswell as knäckebröd with butter+mustard+cheese cause u know cheese and ham best friends
A good baked ham is actually one of my favourite things to have at Christmas. Great for eggs Benedict Christmas morning and my late nanna used to give it to us on boxing day with cheesy mash, leftovers, pickles and salad.
When I first saw the recipe I thought that pepper and marmalade doesn't match.. I just cooked the ham. It's absolutely amazing! So easy to make! Looks and tastes divine! The best ham I've ever made. Thanks Jamie😉
You got a recommendation for switching the marmalade for something else? Maybe just honey? I tried it last year and loved it but find marmalade always leaves a bitter taste.
@@MRLUCCH what is that marmelade????and I don't have a big pot enough and why the hot water before? Does the skin come of easier and could I just help it keeping the ham in deep ovenpan with hot water in it and turning the piggy time 2time?? Does it have to boil or is it enough to just simmer???? Pls, gonna try this first time and start defrosting my 5.5kg pig soon and roast it on Monday
On Christmas Day we have a tradition of a sandwich and soup buffet. This year I am doing turkey breast. This ham look too amazing to pass up. On a fresh roll will be heaven.
We used to do turkey on Christmas too, now I make just ham for Christmas and turkey on Thanksgiving. It's been a hit like that. I hope you try ham this year. Merry Christmas!
Was never a lover of gammon joints mainly because I was obviously cooking it wrongly. This recipe method is superb, so easy and so tasty. Gammon joints will now become part of my "favourite" recipes list.
Did this with traditional cloves stuck in the diamond pattern.. Plus use the thick shred marmalade - it sticks better plus you get the rind/peel adding a real flavour hit!
Wow, made this for the family last year and it was awesome. Didn’t last long, it was gone by Boxing Day. Guess I’ll be buying a larger one this year! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Cheers 🍾🥂🎅🎄
Oh Goodness, Jamie, I wish I had this a couple weeks ago on our Thanksgiving. I usually serve baked ham, and this looks like a great change of pace. Cheers!
That's a serious ham! Over here in the U.S., we do a glazed pre-smoked and cooked ham with pineapples, clove and such but this is a different take and I bet it's delicious.
Looks great, but people never eat the fatty good looking part, what I want to know is hw to get the salty taste from the hams that we buy today, the hams that we have bought lately are so salty that they would float in the bathtub.
Hi Jamie, just cooked this and wow! We actually met some years back at St Peter’s school when you were doing school dinners with Jeanette Orrey. Have a great Christmas 🎄
Hi Jamie... I am an Indian.. We dnt really get ham here.. Especially such cuts of ham.. But I love d way u have cooked.. Looks tempting enuf to dream bot it.. As they say, food brings us together, sometime in my life I hope I Wil get ham n make ur recipe..
I was so excited to try this method this year, then I accidentally bought a spiral ham instead (I didn't look closely enough at the tag... 😢). Do you think this method would still work with a spiral ham?? If not, what tweaks could I make?
My favourite master chef ❤️ Thanks for a gorgeous baked ham recipe - we will be doing this for Xmas... Christmas at the beach for us here in Australia. Merry Christmas to you and your family Jamie and an amazing new year xx Merry Christmas to all of you watching this 😊

Cynthia Waller from Vancouver and today cooking Risotto, one of your recipes. Thanks
My former mother in law would take a salty ham and soak it overnight in ginger ale and the resulting baked ham was phenomenal!!
Ginger ale made me stop whatch the video😂 I’m gonna try it. I have a smoked ham let see

That's good to know because I'm a bit wary of not doing my usual honey mustard glaze for Christmas
Oh Jamie, Jamie, Jamie, am I allowed to say I love you? I just got your Jamie Oliver 5 ingredient Quick and Easy food cook book and I am so excited to make the dishes for my family. Thank you for blessing us with your talent. xoxo

Adam's Eats that’s sounds unreal apart from one thing SALAD😒
Honey baked ham ain't got nothin' on on this. 😍
Yeah I didn't get the salad part either. I think it was nannas way of getting some healthyness in the mix 🤣
I personally love salad, but what about home-made coleslaw with the ham? That would be lovely.
Sounds Amazing 😋😋😋😋😋😋
When I first saw the recipe I thought that pepper and marmalade doesn't match.. I just cooked the ham. It's absolutely amazing! So easy to make! Looks and tastes divine! The best ham I've ever made. Thanks Jamie😉
My mouth is watering here watching this
It’s Christmas 2021 8.20am in London and my ham is in the oven already 😁
I always simmer ham first, before baking it. It keeps it much more moist. Thanks for this, Jamie. Looks delicious.
supergran1000 you can’t simmer ham 😂
What would YOU call it? Ok, Jamie says POACH which means the same thing. Lol.
Jamie is always amazing. Who agrees?
