    I know this is an older video but I have just decided to take the plunge and do my own waterslides. I have watched a ton of your videos before and had never seen this one. I've watched a bunch of other waterslide tutorials but I have to say. Yours by far is the BEST I have seen. It is so detailed and the fact that you actually go into Google Docs and walk us through the program is amazing! In all the videos I've watched that was what I had the most questions about and you are the only one (seriously. the only one.) who has gone over a program that is not Cricut design space, and who actually went over dimensions, sizing, etc. Hands down I feel so comfortable going into this adventure now. I'm going to attempt my first waterslide tonight after work AND I AM SO EXCITED! Thank you so so much for all your in-depth tips and advice.

    I cannot love this tutorial enough! I have been struggling with my waterslides cracking. I also learned the hard way that applying a waterslide over wood grain shows lines without first applying a layer of epoxy. I really like the idea of using clear gloss for other finishes (won’t work with alcohol ink based) to save an additional layer of epoxy. I just started making tumblers a month ago and I am SOOO thankful that I found you. You are the first person I have ever subscribed to and set alerts. I have ordered several products based on your recommendation. I hope to post some pictures of my products to your videos as I try different things. You ROCK!

One tip with google docs, you can adjust your image size and a few other fun things under Image Options found next to the crop bar when you have your image selected. It also allows you to adjust many other options with the placement, color etc. Thanks for the videos!

    When I first started, I bought a really nicely detailed roses clear waterslide; I tried to add it to my wine and roses tumbler and of course it doesn’t show up well. I received 3 of the same waterslide and thought to add another one on top, yah that didn’t work... I think I have to paint it white by hand because I don’t want the white background showing through. I’m not defeated yet 😆

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Год назад

      Epoxy is self leveling so if it isnt constantly turning, it will drip off your tumbler. You can turn by hand, but you have to constantly turn until the epoxy stops moving. The epoxy moves for several hours before it cures enough stay in place.

    Hi Jess & group,
    I have seen a few people mirror image, print, & apply the Clear coat. Cut around their image, place in water then place their image face down & slide the paper backing off. So I was curious and have asked them why spray seal that side?
    They said thats what they were taught.
    They have also said it was so much easier..
    I have tried to do one that way, but I didn't like not watching to insure the edges weren't tucked under or that it was
    straight. I guess I just like the way I learned LOL 😆

      You want to be sure you get all the water pushed out from beneath it. First, i use a squeegee and then pat down well with paper towel. You want to keep an eye on it for a bit and work out any wrinkles if there's shrinking while it dries.
