It’s criminal how Nintendo hasn’t revisited sarasaland. They could make the new Mario game coming for Nintendo’s next gen console all about the return to sarasaland. An empire consisting of 4 drastically different kingdoms. Cool new and never before seen enemies. New gameplay mechanics and of course Daisy. They have to revisit it one day.
Another fun tidbit about Daisy in World Tour is that her and Peach can magically transform into their standard dresses when you get a Birdie or better.

I started playing as Daisy because it annoyed my friends in Double Dash, and just... ended up sticking with her in other Mario games. As for preference, I'd say the Mario Tennis 64 design is my favourite. I like the more tan / long hair variant. I think it suits her very well.
I absolutely love Daisy, for a long time now she's been my favourite mario character, she's an awesome tomboy and it shows in many ways, but I love that she also has outfits that are elegant and pretty, she is a princess after all, and tomboys don't always have to dress boyishly. I'm 100% gonna play through wonder as her as soon as the game is out, and I really hope we see more of her as time goes on.
Daisy is honestly my favourite of the Mario princesses especially because of her personality compared to Peach's. Maybe it's also because of fan works, but Daisy being depicted as the loud woman who'd definitely yell at a fast food employee on Luigi's behalf because they forgot his happy meal toy or something compared to Mario and Peach's couple dynamic makes her far more interesting to me. Two things to note--Daisy got her own song on the mario album released around mario land called "saved me with your charm." Second you guys didn't bring up the manga. In japan daisy is really popular and one reason is kids grew up there with daisy in the mario manga! Daisy was peach's best friend and was at her side for years in the manga even in the early 90s. She was in manga based on games she wasn't even in like dr mario! She also had more outfits in the manga like a nurse outfit in dr mario. Daisy did also show up in american comics in the 90s also in the gameboy comic but was not a tomboy yet in those comics!

I think a huge part of the reason why we want more Mario RPG games is because that genre is where characters can best display their personalities and quirks, especially when compared to sports and platformers where let's be honest can be fun but doesn't provide as much room for dialogue and character development. Daisy's kingdom definitely warrants a second visit, for Super Mario Land had a lot of interesting locales that would look amazing with 21st century technology. A future Super Mario RPG taking place in Daisy's kingdom could be so much fun. Back to Daisy though, Mario Strikers Charged Daisy is by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the best iteration of Daisy, and the watering-down of her persona in the decade following Strikers Charged remains in line with the ongoing theory that after the slight controversies surrounding Super Paper Mario and Mario Strikers Charged, upper management at Nintendo wanted to put a stop to drastic deviations to Mario characters.

Call it a long stretch, but I almost feel like Daisy’s fairy outfit represents Krista from Ferngully because Krista was voiced by Samantha Mathis and Daisy was played by Samantha Mathis in the old super Mario brothers movie.
I get a bit frustrated i love Daisy and i feel that over the years instead of leaning in her tomboyish personality Nintendo just wants to wash her down and make her a shitty version of Peach instead of having another character that can appeal to female players. It meant to me a lot growing up, to see a girl in video games that wasn't crying all the time and wasn't all girly and gave me the confidence that only representations can give.

2:37 I don't think this is exactly correct. Camelot considered giving Wario an 'Evil Peach' doppelganger as a partner, but decided to go with an 'Evil Luigi' instead: Waluigi. I don't believe a "WaruPeach" was ever considered to be Peach's partner.
Things like personality through voice clips are where her character most contrasts with Peach. Peach is more subdued and elegant, while Daisy is excitable and loud. Now that I think about it, the princesses are kind of inverse to the brothers. Mario is energetic and loud with Peach, and Luigi is more subdued and quiet with Daisy. As Luigi and Mario have been more defined, it would be cook to see that with Daisy from Peach. It is why I think she needs to be in a movie sequel. With Peach how she was it is going to require Daisy to be herself up to 11, like she always should have been reintroduced as.

Actually, Daisy’s sports dress first appeared in Mario Sports Mix in 2010 as an alternate outfit for Daisy. It was later reused in Mario Golf: World Tour
It's awesome that Daisy is gonna be in Super Mario Bros Wonder, as a playable character. As much as I love Peach, I do fancy Daisy as well as I like her tomboyish attitude and she's so snazzy in all the outfits she wears. I say her design since the Mario Party games has been absolutely incredible, but my favourite outfit would be her dress, followed by her shorts and swimwear. I can't wait to play as her again and see what's up next for her as a character! May she be in a second Mario movie! 😍

I hate the fact that they developted a personality for her, who everyone was crazy about, and then just cancelled from every game, made her softer and happier, and slapped the strong and cool personality on Peach, making us doubt she was ever considered a strong tomboy at all like- BRO. But most people live in the illusion that Peach was always like this so... Guess majority win. Even if they have stupid opinion. We could compromise but nooooo. Daisy in her being underrated had more personality than all the charachters together and they wasted her potential putting her traits on more popular charachter!
In Mario Strikers Charged, if she fought against Mario, DK, Wario, Bowser Petey, Bowser Jr, or Diddy, Her alternative outfit is teal! :D I can only hope Daisy continues to get more love! She's so great. I know people like her in Mario Strikers, and don't get me wrong, her personality is great in it. I just always liked her because she was always so unapologetically loud and energetic. I could always relate to that, and it makes me happy!

It was a slow burn to get there for Daisy. I remember when the fanbase mostly hated her, or maybe it was just the thing to hate Daisy out loud on the Internet 2010s.😅 Even back then I was a fan of her, I'm glad nowadays it's a much better time to be a Daisy fan then it was back then. The Daisy fans Just eating good.
I didn't notice it back then, but my god do some of the GC/DS era 3d renders look terrible. Daisy has dead eyes and all characters have a pale skin like a zombie. As simplistic as the N64 era 3d renders were, they had punchy colors and Daisy had a nice tan. The Mario Wonder render brings that back and it looks fantastic!
It would be neat if she becomes an unlockable post game character in Princess Peach Showtime, kinda like how you unlock Luigi in the post game of some Mario games.

A fun lady in the Mario universe. I first saw her in Mario Tennis, then became a fan in Mario Party 3.
She has consistently been my favorite princess in the Mario series since...2004, I want to say. Now Daisy is going to be playable in another 2D romp!

I'd like to point out that her most recent Mario Golf outfit gives her a skort, not a skirt, since there's shorts legs under the skirt part

Actually, Daisy’s sports dress first appeared in Mario Sports Mix in 2010 as an alternate outfit for Daisy. It was later reused in Mario Golf: World Tour
It's awesome that Daisy is gonna be in Super Mario Bros Wonder, as a playable character. As much as I love Peach, I do fancy Daisy as well as I like her tomboyish attitude and she's so snazzy in all the outfits she wears. I say her design since the Mario Party games has been absolutely incredible, but my favourite outfit would be her dress, followed by her shorts and swimwear. I can't wait to play as her again and see what's up next for her as a character! May she be in a second Mario movie! 😍
Oh, you forgot to mention all the many different outfits she wears in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020. That and Mario Tennis Aces are actually where everyone gets unique outfits suited for a sport before Mario Golf: Super Rush.

I hate the fact that they developted a personality for her, who everyone was crazy about, and then just cancelled from every game, made her softer and happier, and slapped the strong and cool personality on Peach, making us doubt she was ever considered a strong tomboy at all like- BRO.

I know people like her in Mario Strikers, and don't get me wrong, her personality is great in it. I just always liked her because she was always so unapologetically loud and energetic. I could always relate to that, and it makes me happy!
With all of these different outfits, I'm shocked Nintendo never made dolls of Peach and Daisy. With the new Peach game coming, it would be perfect. I'm sure little girls would love it!

Pretty happy that she is getting more attention in Mario Wonder. Ever if I appreciate more of Peach thanks to the Mario Movie, I’ve always been more of a Daisy Fan, and find her more interesting than Peach and even Rosalina even if she is a great character.

As a non-native speaker only hearing that word in the most unhinged contexts, the word "tomboy" makes me flinch.
I will forever stand by Classic Daisy. N64 Daisy is just the best of her design and I wish Nintendo would've kept it. Daisy in the switch era has become increasingly more inspired from that era of the character and I think is a great 2nd place
I'm happy Nintendo is finally embracing Daisy in the mainline games.
Maybe the next Luigi's mansion will take place in Daisy's castle.

Even in terms of being Luigi’s girlfriend, she hasn’t even appeared in a Luigi’s Mansion game. It’d be kind of cool if she could be a co-op character.

For me it was the other way around. I only ever knew "Princess Daisy". Back then most people around me only had a Game Boy.
We even called Peach "Daisy", mostly because "Toadstool" was strange and hard to pronounce as a kid from Germany lol

I didn't notice it back then, but my god do some of the GC/DS era 3d renders look terrible. Daisy has dead eyes and all characters have a pale skin like a zombie.
As simplistic as the N64 era 3d renders were, they had punchy colors and Daisy had a nice tan. The Mario Wonder render brings that back and it looks fantastic!
