"Optimized stock look" I 100% agree. What a beauty. Very subtle, but I love it.
That’s my favorite look, personally.
Agreed! Too bad they don't come from the factory like this.
Dude I thought I was the only guy that liked how things looked stock just beefier, like bigger tires on stock rims and stuff like that!
Agreed!
Yea, I like the look also. I just bought one almost exactly the same as this truck except black forest green pearl. It's completely stock with 12k miles. Plan to put 35 Nitto Grappers on the stock wheels. An extang bed cover and carli suspension level kit. At some point upgrade the clutch to a south bend, but thats about it. Absolutely beautiful truck.
Dream truck. They should never have stopped making this.
Exactly why I can’t get rid of my ‘04 (Gertrude) I found in ‘11 with 116 k on her!! #nv5600 🤘. Can tow the WORLD 😉
@@brandontormaschy6977 I just bought a 04 about 10 months ago with 70k on it. Really love it too.
Go get one!
Why not?
They stop, skip a few years and bring it back as a 10k option and people pay it.
@@brandontormaschy6977 then ya shoulda bought one. Lead engineer even admitted on camera the reason they stopped making them was lack of demand.
Can't go wrong with a 6-7 Cummins straight pipe 6-speed manual
Accept if you two alot you need to head stud them.
FordTruckGuy
What's a 6.7 Cummins straight pipe? I've heard of a 6.7L straight-6 Cummins diesel engine.
@@Sig721Tau he means the engine is straight piped or has the cats and mufflers removed
A ford guy calling out the goodness of a cummins... don't happen to own a Fummins do you?
@@noelmedina6925 it's not. It has a proflo on it
Nobody would hate that truck
It is everyone’s dream truck and I’m a ford man but I would have it in a heart beat 😍😍👍👍
Sorry, a Mexican-made Fiat isn't my dream truck. Stick a Cummins in a Super Duty and I'll be interested. Until then the 6.7 PSD is just fine.
Supa Doopa best vehicles I've ever owned were made in Mexico. Worst vehicles I've owned were built in Kentucky and Michigan (my current longhorn and 2015 f150). And the UAW can't understand why they're moving production to Mexico!!
David Barnsley my man my man well said I couldn’t have said that any better I’m also a Ford die hard guy but man having a ram Cummins especially with a manual transmission is a beauty only a few can understand , god I would love to have one ☝️
@@supadoopa926 says the guy who can't drive manual lol.
@@Zach-ju5vi that's what I was gonna say to him😂😂😂
Ram needs the bring back the 6 speed manual
If we'd have bought them at a higher rate than 4%, they would never have stopped. The manual, in all but cars, is all but dead and gone forever (hold on Gladiator and Tacoma, you're all that's left).
@@freedomrider266 I'm looking at getting a gladiator for the manual specifically.
Nice ride, love the manual in an era of the idiot proof paddle shift.
I seriously need to learn to drive manual. What's the best way to learn?
@@badger3184 you learn the basic principles of how a manual transmission works, then get in one and start playing with it - no other way :D
@Luis Bolanos It's better for offroading? Don't you have to slip the clutch like crazy to not stall the engine when crawling?
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 from people in the know ( 4x4 channels). Automatic is easier off road but manual is more fun.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 Not in a Cummins paired with the manual. 1st gear is a granny gear and with the power of the Cummins it's damn near impossible to stall. Putting it in 4X4 low in 1st has neck snapping torque and makes you feel like your Chuck Norris driving an Abram tank.
That's a hell of a keeper truck! You picked the right one young man, now enjoy it.
Mint truck but seriously don’t go around saying who tuned the delete. It’s gonna make things even harder for everyone. Use some common sense!
The EPA has no jurisdiction in Canada 😎
@@cassidy5099 Aint that the truth
Really? You're worried your illegal actions could ruin something? Who'd of thunk it....
Rule 1 is don't talk about the delete shop.
Rule 2 is don't talk about the delete shop.
What I heard in the video is that the EGR and DPF fell off the truck. 🤷♂️
Really miss my old manual trucks 😭
I have a 2016 with 72,000 miles almost exact same setup. Def a truck for life!
Connor, (like you'll ever read this) you've got great taste keeping those wheels stock, the exhaust modest, the tires reasonable (looks of a mudder are sorta silly) and in general the overall modesty of the truck. Great job. I love it. Oh, and the trans is the most tasteful aspect, of course. Cheers.
Ford guy here but dang nice truck!
03’ 5.9 h.o. nv5600 6 speed. Had it since it was new almost 300k of towing and truck is still going strong, also have a 2010 duramax and a 14 ram 3500 dually, the 03 manual will out tow them all.
ditto, my 06 6spd would out tow my 2018 Duramax.
Have owned a 97 12 valve 5 speed manual for 21 years. Absolutely the best truck I have ever owned, the big three should all be ashamed for dropping manuals as an option.
That's what happens when you get into a numbers race.
So glad to hear Mat is still timing. I figured someone would have ran him out of business by now. I have his tuning and it changed my truck completely for the better. I was actually having a lot of surging issues from stock and it’s now all gone. Thanks Mat!
He's up in Canada eh🇨🇦! He should be safe up there doing his tuning. I have heard good things about his tuning.
I like that he has tasteful mods that are function related. He's not a diesel bro!
I have a 2012 Ram 2500 crew cab 4x4. (Had 2 miles when I bought it, 178k now) 6.7 Cummins, G56 manual transmission, manual transfer case.. love it!
Now that all the EPA-mandated garbage is GONE, that truck will consume far less fuel which is beneficial for the environment and it'll last much longer which is beneficial for the owner and the environment. I'm jealous.
22% fuel savings after I had a full delete and towing tune done on my 2018 5500 a year ago. Lost the factory warranty though. My 2500 with G56 tranny will be done at the 1st sign of EGR/sensor troubles.
Clearly you've never heard of carcinogens....They're really harmful to humans, and they come out of non-DEF diesels!!!
@HalfShell You can get better performance, and better fuel mileage with the EGR and exhaust delete, however emissions do suffer significantly. Your NOx , CO, CO2, and HC ratings increase dramatically without the DPF, oxidation catalyst, SCR, EGR, etc. The engine does perform better (MPG, HP, and torque) however without them. Not good environmentally however.
Also technically what he did is very much so illegal. It doesn't matter if the county doesn't perform emissions testing because it's a nation wide regulation. They can incur fines no matter what county they are in if they modify the emissions system on any vehicle. It's just extremely unlikely that they will get caught. Usually someone has to rat them out for anyone to do anything about it.
Awesome package in many many ways. In 1972 I bought my 1 ton, manual 4spd with big block. And always loved the manual with trips from coast to coast. And your Cummins makes it even sweeter.
Come test drive my truck!!!! Ram, regular cab, dually, with the 6 speed.
I absolutely love this truck. This is probably the only truck I'd trade my 2020 manual Tacoma for.
Same, I was looking for one but I would never use the power and probably hate the size
Then end of an era, manual diesel trucks that can be tuned. This thing is like a hemi charger, rare and beautiful. From the color, the stock wheels and m/t's to the interior, just an awesome find.
That is sweet that Manuel transmission. Thanks for sharing Andre and TFL Truck. Enjoyed the video.
Sweet ride! Love the manual trans.
I love that ram still offered a manual trans on these. Probably my favorite thing about them
I like the manual transmission but I hate the electronic shift transfer case, the floor lever is the way to go.
I just bought my 2017 with 21k miles and I love it. Nice job finding what you want and congrats.
Awesome truck and the manual transmission makes it even better! I learned how to drive in a 59 Studebaker pickup with a 3 speed. Something about a stick shift makes you feel like you are in complete control of the drivetrain 😊.
You have to stop telling everyone the way around emission testing or that certain places don't have it you are going to ruin it for us all
lol, You really think it's a secret?
Its not a secret people in your distric vote this stuff in because they all feel like this guy.
Osman Parvez yawn
If you want to know the real history around here in Northern Colorado, There's a town called Fort Collins which is a big college town, well it has a kind of fancy old town area with a bunch of restaurants and shopping areas with outside seating and lots of foot traffic. Back 2005 ish to present ish times all of the college kids with big diesel trucks thought it would be a good idea to make it a tradition to race up and down the roads going through town and blow smoke on everyone trying to enjoy their evenings. Those are the people that are ruining emissions because now you have all these higher middle class families complaining that their evenings were ruined and then all of the rich businesses owners are mad that their customers are mad which means they don't make as much money. So all of those people start voting for change to happen which spreads county wide. There's also been deaths and bad accidents from people dying when racing up and down the streets which doesn't help. Weld County however which borders whatever county Fort Collins is in pretty much is just a bunch of empty land. But everyone out here drives big diesel trucks and most of them are deleted it's not a secret, the fact is I'm pretty sure it's an un-incorporated county which means lower taxes and lower restrictions on what can and can't happen. Until big towns start springing up here and big corporations move in they're not changing our rules.
In this country it's money, connections and money that leads to corruption and dumb laws. Plus, even if they tried no one out here is giving up their deleted trucks lol. But you can blame the stupid people blowing smoke out of their trucks for ruining it, people out here are smart enough to run clean burning diesels to not piss people off.
@@dedalliance1 "black smoke " happens to be a byproduct of making power . I dont think people do it to piss people off. I dont , I just not fond of driving around with 220hp with a 8000lbs truck. Take that into context thats the same as driving a 85hp honda. You can barley go highway speed. I guess people are happier seeing their emissions. You 69 nova is just as bad as my cummins.
My brother in-law had the 93 Cummings with the 5 speed and it was just awesome to drive. It’s a shame the market got away from manuals.
Been watching TFL channels for years; one of the best videos yet. Had a somewhat heavily modified ‘05 Ram (cam/push rods, head studs, injectors, tune) and G56 (with SB DD clutch). Awesome truck, but could not get past slow 2-3 shift. Great fun for rolling starts, but awful from a stop. Never found out if it was heavy inertia of DD clutch or worn synchronizers (bought with high miles before I started modding it). Since replaced with stock ‘16 3500 with 68RFE. Wife prefers new truck, but I sure do miss the power and feel of a well-modded Cummins.
Oh no don't say where you got the tunes, epa is hunting them
@R AJ he should trade it in for a used 2019 Duramax/Alliston. My brother has a 2019 Chevy 2500 high country with a delete and it already has 50,000 kilometers (in Canada so we go by the metric scale) as he uses it for long haul towing across Canada putting a ton of kilometers on it. He has not had a single issue with it besides regular maintenance. Like a Rock!
@R AJ that's his own fault for modding a truck under warranty
@ Tony Stone - EXACTLY!
Tony Stone He said his tune shop was in Canada. EPA ain’t goin that far to save the environment lol.
I modded my 18 with 20k miles on it runs fine but he should have waited til more tunes came out for 19-20 models
With my exhaust brake, I didn’t need to do brakes till 150k
Take my money! So upset they stopped making the manual truck.
I bought my 98.5 Cummins in 05, still run it all day. A Cummins with a manual transmission is definitely a forever truck!
I totally dig your truck. I have a an '05 manual 5.9 with no power options (windows, locks etc.) and I love how it's super simple and old school. Same color but bone stock .Funny thing, I have the same color. It's a great truck.

@@joatmon1857 He is right, especially if he has the low gears in the axles. I had one. The G56 has a low geared 6th gear and does not rev down as low as the automatic. They do better than the automatic in the city thoujgh.

That is literally my dream truck to the T! Ahhhhh man its beautiful!!!
I had a 2500 Cummins as my forever truck.....until the cab mounts rusted off the frame. Truck looked great but it's the things you can't see that get ya. Couldn't figure out why the passenger door was so hard to close, especially when it was never used. No cab mounts tend to distort the geometry of the cab. Good luck with this, it's a sweet truck, hope it is your forever truck. You buy the Cummins and the truck comes with it.
👀 Sorry to here that happened . What year model did you have? Thank you for sharing, rust never sleeps unfortunately. *Safe Travels & Take Care!*
@@diostejastierras7898 It was an '02, last of the old body style. Bought it New and took super good care of it. Always got compliments, even til the time I got rid of it in 2017. I miss it.
6-speed manual Cummins Dodges are rare. I went looking for one last year, and did a nationwide search for a 3500 single rear wheel 2wd diesel manual. Autotrader came up with a grand total of two. One was in Tennessee, but it was a standard cab. The other truck was an extended cab. I drove to Missouri, test drove it, and bought it on the spot.
Awesome 2017 Ram Cummings Manual. Great build. And congratulations.
I learned stick and towing on a 5.9 with a 6 speed long bed extended cab. It's not a 6.7 but it was a badass truck. Forever cummins
Ram said they killed the manual because nobody buys them. I'm calling bullshit. I looked for a new one in '18 and every single dealer I called told me the same thing... "Every time we get one, it sells the same day".
You couldn't order one?
I had the same issue finding three pedals at the other end of the size scale (Honda Fit). I envy Conor his sunroof (especially now), I'd have sprung for one but they dropped the EX M/T for 2020 and they're not worth buying used
You cannot find a new Cummins in Texas that has a standard transmission...
And I don't know of anyone, short of old people, that want an automatic behind a Cummins
Dealerships don't choose to buy them. Its not like there was a limit on manual transmissions.
Lovey 18 cummins standard dually 😎 Keeping mine the next 30 years.
I have the exact same truck, but an 18. I bought it as soon as I heard they were going to quite making them. I'm a diehard chevy guy, but 4/6 of our vehicles are manual and I couldn't miss the opportunity for a cummins 6spd. Pulls my 36' camper like a dream.
Please you guys should do an Ike gauntlet with the Chevy suburban, Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia that would be awesome
No question who would win that chevy ford doesn’t put in v8s
I am looking for a truck just like this one . I am jealous.

Matt from optimal welding is the man for Ram tunes!! I have a 2010 with 150,000 with the original and problematic 68rfe, I put a little work into the valve body, Matt brought my truck back to life with his EFI SOTF and transmission tuning.
Matt might go to jail if he keeps on doing this. It’s pretty hard to tamper with the emission system when you’re in the hoosegow.
I had a 2001 gasoline Ram 1500 off road. I was looking at all the HD upgrades for off roading / overlanding. It didn't take long to realize.... Ram already made a truck like that....all HD parts from the factory ! DUH ! So I traded it in for a new 2003 Ram CTD, 2500, 6-speed manual, with 4:11 factory gears, that I planned to use sort of like a 1500, and again, knowing all parts were HD. I Tweeked the suspension with some VR springs and tuned shocks, stock wheels and 37x12.50's, and built it a little more from there. NO engine or exhaust mods to keep it legit (it didn't have much smog stuff on it anyway......03 before they smothered it). It is my forever truck. Still going strong in 2020 with 135,000 miles on it. I've never felt underpowered leaving it stock. Great all around on/off road super capable truck.
the EPA will be knocking on the door soon~!
EPA has no authority in Canada.
John Anderson , he lives in Weld County which is in Colorado
@@jonathanjackson9208 Listen to what he says at 5:15 onwards. Eemissions vary by country, not all counties have it.
@@diltzm Emissions are a federal thing. Pulling all of it off is illegal, period. His county doesn't check for it, so he gets away with it. Doesn't make it legal.
@@Stuka87 you must not be a car guy. This is probably more common than these trucks in stock form. Everyone deletes them. Nobody is going to knock on his door unless he's offering services to do this to other people's truck. He's fine.
Like the diesel with the 6 speed and the tune. Looks good. Did you do any re-calibration of the speedometer with the larger tires? I like larger tires; however, I also like getting the speedometer calibrated to match the larger tires which can be difficult.
Not re-calibrating the speedometer throws everything off (speedometer, odometer, mpg calculations, etc.).
Fantastic looking truck..i have a 12 with the cummins,,6 speed dually..limited....would not trade it to save my life...and love that cummins sound,,cant beat it.
Had a 04 Dodge ram 3500 srw with the 5.9 Cummins and 6 speed manual... absolutely loved that truck
I’d prefer a manual transmission, but my knee would never forgive me.
I found my 2006 F-250 on Car Gurus for $9000 w/213k miles. Was at a dealership fairly close to home in the Dallas area. Love driving it, wife and I drove it to Nova Scotia, travelled around a bit before heading back to Texas. Comfortable ride and fairly quiet on the highway.
Yours the truck with the international 6 or 6.4 liter diesel. With that International motor you can find those trucks all over 4 less than 10,000 because they need $10,000 worth of motor upgrades so says the guy in Georgia. Sorry but I'm blacking on the name of that RUclips channel Ford guy that bulletproof's the Ford Motors. They need head studs and EGR upgrades and head gaskets.

I have a 2014 Ram 2500 Laramie HD with Cummins same color except I have the automatic. Love the truck. Leaps off the line tows great. I get 21-23 mpg on the freeway not towing. Best truck I've ever owned. Just to clarify, removing the emissions isn't legal, he just lives where they don't check before registering. My tailpipe still looks new with no black soot. Next truck might be a Ford Powerstroke just because I haven't had one. The best part of the HD diesel trucks is they keep their value.
Just splurged and picked up a 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins Bighorn and could not be happier and they are even more quiet than the 18's
Cummins + 6 speed manual trans = Bulletproof truck that’ll basically last you forever
That tranny not bullet proof if he is REALLY making 1100 lb ft its toast sooner than you think. Thers a reason the manual is 350/660 close in hp to the autos but not torque. The nv5600 was stronger
I would like to strongly ask TFLT to blur the plate, and censor the name where he got tuning done. There may be a future knock on this mans door.
Keep liking this comment, they seriously need to protect this man from turning his life upside down.
Then this man should STOP doing illegal things, don't you think?
No

Diesel trucks shouldn't have any emmissions considering they are supposed to be for work.

Yeah, cause liberals that care about the environment and trees are such bad people. *sarcasm* Triggered much, snowflake?
All cruise and cargo ships should have an EPA mandate requiring them to have emissions equipment on them, regardless of their registration country. They pollute more than any semi or diesel truck on the road.
Sad day when they stopped offering the 6 speed manual! Maybe it will make a return some year.
So jealous of you dude. Have a safe ride!
That’s a lot like my 2016 3500 G56 with 3.73s. I custom ordered it and waited 6 weeks for it to come in! Last of an era!
Manual yes this is amazing this is for real MAN
Hahaha I agree 100%
I agree
For all the people in the comments saying " I wish they still put manuals in trucks" "If it isnt manual it isnt right" and shit like that. if more people woulda bought manuals they would still keep making them its supply and demand
Joseph DOBBS Exactly. I had read that when Ford and Dodge both offered a manual, less than 10% were sold with it.
Beautiful truck! Completely agree with the optimized stock look👍.
I ordered a 2017 ram 2500 Laramie Cummins with many options. Yep, it’s a G56, 6 speed manual. I have only 19,000 miles on it. Love my truck. Nothing is deleted but I do plan on installing a tuner with all the emission stuff installed. I have no choice, I live in Massachusetts where they do emission inspections every year. I love the manual transmission. Just feels good to shift and be in control.
This is the guy that has a “cummins bro” total tool sheds. I wish regular car reviews would do “cummins bro” people.
Can't tell by your comment, but isn't the "bro" moniker kind of a put-down? I'm aware of "bro country" music and it's not a compliment.
It's 100% a put down. He's also judging this guy on a short video, and probably assuming a LOT. Typical keyboard warrior that thinks he's better that everyone.
Yea bro is not the word here. Seems like a genuine truck lover. Not cocky
Seems like a normal dude. Way to rush judgement on people.

I loved this review! But did he say anything about mpg? Just curious.
Mine with the Cummins and the 6 speed manual averages between 21-22 MPG! With trailer, up to 12,000 lbs, it averages 16-18 MPG.
Ron Fillmore holy crap! Just ordered a 2020 Raptor but was considering one of these since I haven't put down a deposit. That's pretty practical
Have a 2018 2500 mega cab Laramie. I love it. 280k miles and still killing it
I've got the same truck in black forest green metallic. I just replaced the stock clutch with the south bend heavy duty dual disk clutch. I currently have no plans to mess with the emissions. I've got the same mud flaps. Also got a hard folding bed cover made by bakflip. Really an awesome truck. Hard to believe they didn't sell well. They are hard to find with an 8 ft bed which is what mine is. I haul my motorcycle in the back and I'm able to close the tailgate.
Once again, I'm impressed by this Series and the Drivers behind the vehicles.Honestly, that might be the way to make a RAM Reliable. Screw the Automatic Trans, get a Manual, and remove all the Stupid Mental (I don't call it Environmental) Bullshit, and Boom! Reliable RAM Truck. No Seriously, Get the Mentalist Bullshit out of the Automotive Industry. It seems to do wonders for the Reliability and Durability of these Pickup Trucks.
Triggered much? A friend of mine has over 300k on his 2018 F250 King Ranch crew cab 6.7L PowerStroke truck...without any issues. So....?
Travelin' Ted he put 150k miles on it a year? Yeah ok.....
The perfect truck.

I wasn't going to buy a new truck until 2022 but caught wind that the G56 was going away after 2018. I went to the dealer and found out I had about 1 week left to order one. This was Sept 2018. It arrived just before Christmas. Probably literally one of the last stick shift trucks built. Mine is an SLT with lots of factory options. Its a great truck. Mine is totally stock as getting caught deleted around here is big trouble
I have one of the last 2018 Ram Megacab manual transmissions every built. Bought it new fully loaded.

At anytime, a law enforcement officer may inspect your truck for emmisions equipment compliance. While not enforced through the vehicle registration process every where. It is the law, and officers do enforce the law at any time.
Not true. It's federal not enforced by local or state officers.

Love the truck, currently looking for this same truck to trade my ZR2 for. Just keep in mind when you showcase a truck that has it’s emissions systems removed and blowing smoke you are just asking for the EPA to to create more issuers for us diesel owners.
Back in 2009 I test drove a 2007Ram 3500 single wheels in the back Mega Cab with a 6speed manual diesel. It was a nice truck loved the manual trans, I should have bought it.
This is exactly the truck my dad would want. I think this one is perfect.
