I was wanting to know more about this (tempting interviews with a teleprompter) how do you get this to work? Can you please share more info regarding the setup?
Thank you, I really appreciate the video. If it is not to much to ask, would you mind creating a detailed video of how you setup the video podcast? If you were to record it locally, how would you do it?
Hey! This is absolutely sick! This might be too technical and might not be important for everyone but could you make a video about the software side of things for livestreaming, tv and podcasting? I have a budget gear setup but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the workflow work on software side of things!
Basic iPad for a teleprompter, budget decent audio interface as xlr input for podcasting mic, rode wireless go II with lavliar mic as main mic. Amaran 100d 200d instead 300d, atem mini instead of pro version. Watered down version would be more realistic.
6D was not inferior to the 5D as you stated. Go on the forums and look at old comments on the 6D! It had awesome low light capability for its time and was great for photography! Sure, the 5D4 was better, but it held its own compared to the 5D3 (albeit with lower megapixels).
Thank you for such a helpful walkthrough. One thing I would have loved is if you could have added the cost of things and then totaled the cost at the end of the video even though that is not really your purpose, would have been helpful addition. Thank you again for a great video, Tyler!
Ania B Ahhhh that’s right I remember him saying on the podcast you generally take care of the finances, my bad. Its probably a good thing you handle them or you two could be the proud owners of multiple c500 m2’s!
First time channel watcher & new subscriber... Love it ... Question .... I notice this video is in 4K, did you record through the ATEM Mini Pro as I have one and did not think 4K output was available.
From your experience, is the video image quality the same when saving to a hard drive the same as the image quality when recording from within the camera using an SD card?
Cool studio setup! Yeah, the room reverb is something I'd try to fix. Know of a source of sound blankets in Europe? Amazon won't ship. Pro audio shops have crazy-$$$ options.
It’s weird how hard they are to find, but hardware stores will sell moving blankets that have the same affect. The problem is they’re usually not black and white
What software do you use for guest and what hardware you use. And you do a video in how you use the hardware and software when you are recording and going live. Thanks
The guests just do everything on their end with their gear and sync up their file in Final Cut Pro. Not many guests would be equipped to stream the high quality video live
Do you just have your podcast guests record their interviews locally because they're all filmmaking pros and just sync the footage in post? Coz that looks way cleaner than Zoom.
1:40 hes talking about the sony's like A7S3, doesnt overheat, does 4k, no time limit, crazy good focus, amazing lenses, etc. drop canon, its not a good system anymore.
@@stalman thanks there are those who just use speakers, i wonder how they do it without getting audio feedback or echo. in your video at 0:20 how is the host listening to the field reporter? thanks again, been trying to figure this out
Yup, they’re an incredible supporter of RUclipsrs, creators, and artist. We couldn’t dedicate our time and resources to making these without the help of sponsors like Squarespace.
You could build this kit for less than $10k, which would have been impossible just a couple years ago. The prices have gone through the floor on this equipment
I’ve never been this early to a video before. Great video, I’ll never use any of this but it’s all nice to know if I ever need to later on. Especially the podcast stuff.
A full semester of broadcasting in college boiled down to 10min. You’re killing it man. Too notch all the way up. 👌
This is the wildest set up WOW it's incredible. So well done!
YOOOOO remoting interviews with a teleprompter is a game changer
lol
I was wanting to know more about this (tempting interviews with a teleprompter) how do you get this to work? Can you please share more info regarding the setup?
Seeing who you're talking to in the teleprompter is amazing. Great tip. I'll see if I can make it work with my Parrot Prompter!
Videos are always informative, no messing around!
Your setup is so awesome!! Keep it up man.
Excellent video! Thank you for the detailed walk through.
I have really enjoyed using the ATEM Mini Pro. We use a lot of the same gear and have similar setups/tools haha!
Cool! I have have some weird things to figure out with the atem, I’d like to use it more often
Thank you friend. Really good stuff. I have been digging your space for a minute now.
your video is just so fun and informative, no time wasted!
The teleprompter thing is a great idea!
Would love to see a guide on your setup for remote podcasts. What software you use, how you record, the edit process etc
would also be interested in this!
Crazy setup, man! Thanks for sharing it. Learned a lot from this.
This is a pretty sick set up.
This is incredible. I'm trying to set up a podcasting studio right now, and I love the teleprompter. Going to grab one :o
Love it dude, lots of stuff to get from the video
Thank you, I really appreciate the video. If it is not to much to ask, would you mind creating a detailed video of how you setup the video podcast? If you were to record it locally, how would you do it?
Nice to see how you’re keeping up. First saw you in your Gerald Undone collab

Great video, Thank you!
Hi Tyler. Thanks for sharing. Just wondering, how do you mirror your ipad for the teleprompter?
Please tell more about your colours. It’s stunning 😍 How to achieve something close to this?
Great video. Great content.

Sound is not too bad in that space, actually 👍🏻
Hello, Congratulations Cool. 👍 I am impressed. 👏👏
Great video!!! By any chance do you have a video that breaks down your camera connection to the switcher then to the computer?
Im just starting to learn this whole thing. What do you call the filter film mounted on your Lupo lights?
That was informative. Great video 😊
Love your videos. It would be nice to see a podcast episode with Gerald undone
He’s been on twice 🤗 ruclips.net/video/Jt3Q89fRQjQ/видео.html
Tyler Stalman nice I’m checking it out now!

That would’ve been too painful for him to add up 🤣
too painful for me 😂
Ania B Ahhhh that’s right I remember him saying on the podcast you generally take care of the finances, my bad. Its probably a good thing you handle them or you two could be the proud owners of multiple c500 m2’s!
First time channel watcher & new subscriber... Love it ... Question .... I notice this video is in 4K, did you record through the ATEM Mini Pro as I have one and did not think 4K output was available.
The ATEM Mini is 1080 only and this video is recorded raw in camera
I am AMAZED how much cocaine money Square Space has. They literally sponsor so many channels I watch.
They’re an amazing supporter of creators, just think how much content you’d miss out on without them 😊
Just found got this video in my recommend verry interesting
How are you getting that dedicated shot of your guests on the ipad (teleprompter)?
Now this is epic
From your experience, is the video image quality the same when saving to a hard drive the same as the image quality when recording from within the camera using an SD card?
Can you do a video about your editing workflow? Thank you. Keep the good work!!
How does it work to get your interview into the ipad that reflects then into the teleprompter glass ?
The teleprompter trick is so smart! What the teleprompter app you using?
Great question, I’ll add it to the description! apps.apple.com/ca/app/teleprompter-premium/id941070561
@@stalman thanks, because there's a lot crappy app out there this is save a lot trial and error.
You can skip all the free ones
An external recorder, such as the Ninja V will bypass that 30-minute limit.
Very true and I should have mentioned it. I would stop rather not depend on an external if I can avoid it
Hi! Loved your video! Question, what tall stand did you use for the monitor? Thank you!
Cool studio setup! Yeah, the room reverb is something I'd try to fix.
Know of a source of sound blankets in Europe? Amazon won't ship. Pro audio shops have crazy-$$$ options.

Do you just have your podcast guests record their interviews locally because they're all filmmaking pros and just sync the footage in post? Coz that looks way cleaner than Zoom.
Also, when you are livestreaming how do you record on the switcher at the same time?
My main concern is keep a high resolution image while streaming multiple cams. Isn't bitrate a determining factor?
1:40 hes talking about the sony's like A7S3, doesnt overheat, does 4k, no time limit, crazy good focus, amazing lenses, etc. drop canon, its not a good system anymore.
Good video! Well presented! How are you splitting the screen on the BenQ PD2720U 27 inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor?
The BlackMagic ATEM switcher shows all the feeds plugged into it, and that’s what you’re seeing on the monitor
@@stalman It has a multi-screen output? I guess...just curious if I'm following right. Great stuff!
For the teleprompter.... do you use the iPad in sidecar mode? Is there an app to flip/mirror the screen?
I do use Sidecar but I don’t flip the screen. The teleprompter app does the flipping itself
Great video! Thank you. Is there a way to contact you one on one for consultation?
Does your guest on remote interviews also run an HDMI to USB? What would you recommend for a guest that isn't as tech savvy?
Usually we have them call over Skype or FaceTime, record themselves on their end and send the file
Great! How do you flip the image on the iPad?
The app needs to have a flip option, I don’t think there’s anything in iPad OS
@@stalman THANK YOU!!!
what bar are you using to hold the sound blankets?
I’m just using a background bar with clamps
Make sure to have the knuckle on the right side when showing lighting setups
I knew I would screw something up 😅 at least I had sandbags on everything!
How do you get the image on the iPad from Skype or other sources?
Using Sidecar to stream it from my Mac
Tyler Stalman I use Duet to extend from my Windows laptop. However, I need to mirror flip (not rotate) the image horizontally - how can I do that?
hi how does the host listen to guests without headphones?
Everyone wears headphones, I usually just use AirPods
@@stalman thanks there are those who just use speakers, i wonder how they do it without getting audio feedback or echo. in your video at 0:20 how is the host listening to the field reporter? thanks again, been trying to figure this out
What software are you running on the big screen?
That’s the ATEM Mini
Wait a minute. R5 and R6 turn off? I thought they could be run indefinitely via dummy battery and the webcam utility?
Probably he is talking due to heating problems
ATEM is a 1080 switcher. With a dummy battery and HDMI, you buy pass the 30 minute limit!
$25K in gear & setup cost later..
Squarespace is the sponsor. Who would have thought it? 🤦♂️
Yup, they’re an incredible supporter of RUclipsrs, creators, and artist. We couldn’t dedicate our time and resources to making these without the help of sponsors like Squarespace.
Tyler Stalman this is not a critique on you, Tyler. It’s just funny that squarespace seems to sponsor the whole internet.
effram elijah....Gadget Hunter
Wait what!? Sigma 18-35 f1.8!? It’s just a mistake, right?? I’ll freak out if it’s real.
I use it all the time
Tyler Stalman Is it really f1.8!? Never heard of it. That is insane!!
Today, in why you are broke.
So you have regular media tv equipment. Entertaining yet useless for the average youtuber/podcaster $$25k++ no sir.
You could build this kit for less than $10k, which would have been impossible just a couple years ago. The prices have gone through the floor on this equipment
dude. this video has been renamed so many times.... just settle on a title!
What an awful shirt choice for camera :')
I’ve never been this early to a video before. Great video, I’ll never use any of this but it’s all nice to know if I ever need to later on. Especially the podcast stuff.
