I freeze eggs. Scramble with a little salt or sugar (depending on recipe) pour them into a freezer bag & label. I pour them thru a fine colander after thawing because there’s usually a few little chunks.
You can absolutely freeze milk, yogurt and defrosted meat. The meat will have a weird texture and you'll have to shake milk after thawing but that's it. It's not like it becomes inedible.
Ive always froze my milk and like frozen yogurt. Growing up with 4 other siblings my mom always had to buy a lot of milk and freeze whatever jug we didn’t use. All you have to do is shake the milk up once its fully thawed and boom. Good milk lol. It’s just as good. Especially in these times who really going to the grocery store once a week.. just buy the that extra jug of milk and freeze it. Save yourself an extra trip to the store lol
Lunna Locca I never froze milk, but I definitely try now because of quarantine in my city i cant shopping as usual . Frozen yogurt is actually very good
Julia Julls It’s crazy times we live in right now. When you thaw it out just make sure you shake it good before you use it. I naturally shake all my juice cartons and milk jugs now lol no matter what I just shake it
Same! And I always freeze milk in my home since I always run out so quickly due to my children. It’s always been fine for us growing up and it’s been perfectly fine for my kids. Idk who’s going out for milk every week especially if milk is an essential in a large household
I live in a small town two hours from the big box stores where milk is cheaper by $3,12 per gallon so we stock up during our monthly shopping trips. The trick to using frozen milk is to let it thaw completely and shake before using, and try different brands as some thaw better than others. We also learned that 3.25% milk lasts in the fridge longer than 2%. While 2% milk will turn bad near it's expiration date, homogenized milk will still be usable up to 10 days later.
Milkshakes. Make cold-brewed coffee, freeze in ice cube trays, toss in blender with milk and flavoring of choice, blend until smooth. A dash of irish cream or khalua is good as well.
Okay you had me until the milk part. I breastfeed and it’s recommended to freeze plus I freeze my 2% milk all the time and it tastes just as good as normal!
I freeze milk and cheese and it's just fine as well as cream cheese however I tried freezing some heavy cream during this quarantine and it was an epic fail
Much of texture depends on how you thaw it . same with dairy products. Fried food freezes fine if you know what your doing...(as you obviously don't seem to.)...We freeze Kentucky fried chicken in individual bags and microwave it.
Seems to be maybe a generalising sweep of information here. This is what I’ve experienced from freezing certain foods first hand... *Im not sure about full fat, but semi skimmed milk is fine to use after freezing. My mom did it all through my childhood. Maybe it’s a little more watery, but it’s not so bad that freezing shouldn’t be an option. *Mashed potato can be frozen. I wasn’t so sure, but tried freezing left overs after reading that it could be done. I used the frozen mash for a shepherds pie and the mash tasted great. There was no stale flavour that mash left in the fridge gets, the texture was ultra smooth. *I’ve not frozen chicken eggs, but have been doing a lot of research....because of the global situation and trying to minimise shopping trips.....apparently eggs frozen (without their shells because of expansion) are fine.
So, by Mashed logic, Frozen Pizza shouldn’t exist! (More for me, I guess.) I never freeze any of these except one - I freeze hard cheeses, the ones I use for pasta. It’s also easier to grate when frozen!
I’ve put milk in the freezer before and as long as you let it thaw completely it tastes the same afterwards. Although I would only recommend freezing whole milk because it has a higher fat content so it does better.
I've frozen a lot of these things, but I only use them later for cooking. I especially freeze milk that is slightly off. I save it until I have enough to make some crockpot yogurt.
I just froze 40 pounds of potatoes. some I sliced up and fried with seasonings on the griddle to 90% done roughly then stopped. VAC packed and frozen. for mashed potatoes I diced them and boiled them again till almost done. then cold water bath to stop the cooking process. pat dry vac bag and freeze. its not 100% the same when you thaw finish cooking and beat into mashed potatoes but its very hard to tell the difference unless your paying attention. basically you need a wee bit more butter and milk when you mash them.
Freezing milk is absolutely fine. Freezing has no effect on the taste or texture. I've been doing it for 25 + years. I've also never had a burst container.
Meat freezes fine. I can only buy defrosted meat on the market, and freeze it for later. Milk freezes good too if you allow room in the jar for expansion. What you really shouldn't freeze is plant matter. Raw vegetables or cooked but still firm chunks. They turn into a soft mush. It is possible to accidentally freeze vegetables if they were pressed against the heatpipes in the refrigerator.
Great video. I sadly admit i've store coffee in the freezer before, thinking it might help preserve it. I did notice it not tasting good. Glad to see it wasn't such a good idea.
I suppose like most people I do like my mother used to do, and she never froze any of this stuff so I don't either - except for milk. I do freeze milk.
defrosted meat can be freezed again AFTER it's been cooked/grilled ect. because that kills said bacteria. BUT, and this is a big but, cook it and freeze it again the same day (defrost it during the day, cook it in evening, freeze again it the same evening) otherwise you may be putting the meat at an even higher risk. however just plain ol meat will lose its flavors. so any grinded meat is perfect for this.
I think you are oh so wrong about not freezing milk. I’ve grew up in a big family and my mother bought 25 half gallons of milk every two weeks. She froze most of it and to be honest when she thawed it and it still had some of those ice particles in it, it was fantastic. Have you tried it?
I think my milk started to freeze in the refrigerator, a little too cold. I poured the chunks off the top, but it was a new unopened gallon. would be a shame to dump it all. the rest seems ok. I had some peanut butter cookies and milk, drinking the milk from the bowl as I type this
If you want to freeze eggs just beat all the eggs together then use a ice cube to freeze the beat eggs. Then store in w freezer bag till you need them.
I made SO much of my fav potato salad recipe and froze it in multiple containers. Let me just say, DON'T FREEZE POTATOES. Like $40 of ingredients down the drain.
I would take this advice with the grain of salt like some of this stuff is pretty obvious like the mayonnaise but some of the stuff I have Frozen just fine...
If your family or yourself don't have alot of money. So be it. My family when i was growing up We have meat & cheese & milk & coffee in the freezer . It wont kill u
Block cheese and milk bags freeze very well with no adverse affects after thawing. You don't know what you are talking about. have another thumbs down.
All these stolen video bits you add for footage are distracting and have nothing to do with what you are saying if were being honest. Now where is that unsubscribe button?
Have you ever tried storing any of these foods in the freezer?
I freeze milk all the time..never had a problem
I have milk and cheese in the freezer right now...
I freeze eggs. Scramble with a little salt or sugar (depending on recipe) pour them into a freezer bag & label.
I pour them thru a fine colander after thawing because there’s usually a few little chunks.
I freeze unopened, vacuum-packed pecorino romano cheese and it turns out just fine, as I thaw it still unopened.
We freeze milk on a weekly basis. Vitamin D whole milk and it tastes as good as unfrozen milk.
Mayo
Ketchup
Cheese
Milk, yogurt,cream cheese

Anything Cornstarch

You can absolutely freeze milk, yogurt and defrosted meat. The meat will have a weird texture and you'll have to shake milk after thawing but that's it. It's not like it becomes inedible.

Your standards of acceptability are pretty low.

I agree. I have frozen whole milk lots of times. Just make sure it is completely defrosted and shaken well. Disclaimer: I only use milk in coffee.
Same! And I always freeze milk in my home since I always run out so quickly due to my children. It’s always been fine for us growing up and it’s been perfectly fine for my kids. Idk who’s going out for milk every week especially if milk is an essential in a large household

We almost always freeze milk. It's perfectly fine.
GamerInTrance same!
Exactly! Came here to say it.
I stopped watching when they started saying you cant freeze milk. Completely untrue!
I agree I do freeze milk and it actually tastes better.
Lol I've been doing that for years now
I’ve never had the urge to freeze any of these items, I guess I’m in the clear lol
It's like people don't know the fridge exists
Dont freeze water cause it doesnt go down the throat as smoothly.
You have never frozen meat?
Steven Ball I’ve had meat that was already frozen, other than that no, whatever meat that wasn’t frozen was eaten
I freeze coffee. Got some in the freezer right now. I think it keeps it's flavor longer stored in the freezer. To each their own.
For my ice coffee drinks,i freeze coffee in icecube trays, keeps the coffee icy cold&whip cream on top doesnt melt quickly😁
It saves the flavor very well, especially if you iced it early.
What sort of maniac freeze’s coffee?!
People that like iced coffee.
@@angellover02171 exactly!
Milkshakes. Make cold-brewed coffee, freeze in ice cube trays, toss in blender with milk and flavoring of choice, blend until smooth. A dash of irish cream or khalua is good as well.
Actually freezing ground coffee preserves the flavour. I've been doing for decades and works perfectly.
Monika Szabo my ex used to freeze it as well. I don’t like coffee but him and everyone he knew does it and have all sworn by it’s effectiveness
Okay you had me until the milk part. I breastfeed and it’s recommended to freeze plus I freeze my 2% milk all the time and it tastes just as good as normal!
I always freeze my 2% fat milk, no problems!
I freeze milk all the time. Taste the same. Been doin it for years
Benny Dorrough but why tho?
Buy in bulk. Have baby. Dont have to go to store ALL the time.
This is just common sense. O wait I forgot how many people dont have that.
With air fryers know you can heat left overs like fried chicken and pizza and they taste better than in the oven.
Some cheese needs to be frozen so that fungi does not grow on it. One thing in mind is a Parmesan cheese block (not powdered parmesan)
You can however freeze bread.
No kidding?
@@brianlee5649 I'm not kidding. Try it for yourself.
Yes you can, but it's nasty when you try to thaw it and eat it, Yuck
I always freeze my bread too, not soggy when I eat it because I always eat toast.
Only if you want toast. You cannot eat it without toasting.
Seems to be maybe a generalising sweep of information here. This is what I’ve experienced from freezing certain foods first hand...

And frozen fries
Here's one about re-freezing meat. Suppose i portion out too many hamburger patties, can I cook them off, then toss them in the freezer
Yeah
This video should be called ‘Don’t be an idiot’
Never had a problem freezing cheese...at least the shredded kind
Turned off after 2 minutes. Don’t waste your time watching this

Im so happy I saw clips from "can't do that on television" show in this😁😄🤣
I freeze ground coffee in the freezer 😆 ❄☕
You should see what happens when u store cans of sprite in the freezer over night 😉😂
Freezing milk is absolutely fine. Freezing has no effect on the taste or texture. I've been doing it for 25 + years. I've also never had a burst container.
I do shred cheese in the freezer all the time, we only really use it to melt it and have had no issues
0:08 - Freeze! *BA DUM TSS!* LOL! Also, I'm creeped out by Yogurt Boy just bc of the way he looks.
I freeze milk all the time. just shake the bags a little. absolutely no issues with separation.
Meat freezes fine. I can only buy defrosted meat on the market, and freeze it for later. Milk freezes good too if you allow room in the jar for expansion. Who the fu€k freezes Mayo????

When I was a little boy and we got milk delivered in the winter it would freeze and push the little foil cap off the bottle and we still drank it.
When I accidentally froze yogurt, it was as wet as hell and runny, and straight disgusting
Great video. I sadly admit i've store coffee in the freezer before, thinking it might help preserve it. I did notice it not tasting good. Glad to see it wasn't such a good idea.
I do flooring and I've been in a million houses and not once have I ever seen anyone freezing any of these.
What about lard?

I loved the You Can't do that on Television clips One of my favorite as a child of the 80s
Was that Adam Driver @1:50?
Yes. He played a ketchup bottle in an SNL skit.
@@cmucodemonkey Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

She said emulsify correctly but some how managed to mispronounce emulsion.

I freeze bread, cheese,blanched veggies.
I’m curious if anyone has used these effects intentionally to make something new?
I would take this advice with the grain of salt like some of this stuff is pretty obvious like the mayonnaise but some of the stuff I have Frozen just fine...
Ketchup doesnt freeze because it's a non-Newtonic fluid. Read a science book about these substances. They're pretty wild
I recently froze a gallon of 2 % milk and it was fine.
I’ve been freezing milk my whole life. Just give it a shake
If your family or yourself don't have alot of money. So be it.
My family when i was growing up
We have meat & cheese & milk & coffee in the freezer .
It wont kill u
*_Time for the fridge_*
Only at room temperature... Why do we store it in the refrigerator?
Who’s really out here freezing mayonnaise? 🤔 or any of these items honestly.
Anyone that’s ever had a thought of freezing any of these foods should not be allowed near the kitchen
Well I had to freeze some of these things during this time. But I'm froze the non dairy items though.
Did anyone else see the coffee maker leaking and making bad coffee?
Never heard someone freezing Ketchup or Mayo. So what are you smoking lol
Execly
Potatoes don’t freeze well? 🤔 I thought McDonald’s fries 🍟 are frozen before cooked.
GRATED CHEESE FREEZES FINE
I freeze milk & cheese all the time
I literally have frozen milk in my freezer right now this is nonsense
I call no on the soup. I've been freezing it and chili for work for 32 years. Homemade though.
Cheese is fine ,milk is fine.
I freeze you gift in ice cube trays for smoothies but that’s only one
Don't freeze cauliflower. I tried this once. After defrosting, the cauliflower tasted nasty.
What did it taste like afterwards?
frozen potatoes are nightmares. Especially the ones in stews
Don't put them into the fridge otherwise the starch converts to sugar.
I freeze my dairy and coffee and eggs
I freeze milk all the time and it tastes Jo different to me.
How do you not freeze potatoes but you have French fries in bags . You can definitely freeze eggs in bags you let it thaw
New title suggestion: Know nothing about food? Watch this!
Oh my this soup delicious isn’t.😂🤣😂
Yogurt boy🤣

Does anyone even freeze any of these foods tf??
Milk and coffee
We freeze 2% milk all the time when we buy it on sale - still good months later!
Ketchup shouldn't even go in the fridge but okay.
