Absolutely! So many vocal teachers preach "effortless" singing, which is just so misleading.

If someone wants great lessons and good advice, she's the best teacher on RUclips especially for beginners or singers who really want to understand their voice .

I think this tip is very valuable. So many coaches say it doesn't takes energy when I definitely knew it did. Especially if I want the results I am aiming for. Thank you Freya, you're a true guru and a dedicated person to what you're doing. I cherish your inspiring videos. God bless you.

Thank you for your wonderful energetic teaching like this I found after 2years after its made!
Yet, so versatile as it is true core that you are teaching for a beginner without any musical knowledge to start with, nor in Singing.
I had brief encounter with your video in the past, but never had attracted to go actual practice video, then, as I needed a more basic and one to one teaching from the very basic of music!
I cannot even read musical score in site reading!
    This is wonderful!
This should be written down as a beginner singing lesson song!
These songs I would like to use for my practice singing!
As this is teaching in words, and can sing to memorise the teaching as well!
It is like singing a good hymn❣️ to learn good things in life, like so many other good songs with good poems.
    Thank you, Freya.

I had been wondering during the last few days if it was normal to apply so much effort to sing well (not to learn but to actually sing) This video seems to answer that question. Yes, good singing requires one to seriously apply themselves; it is work. Thank you so much for sharing and affirming.

Excellent Freya. Thank you SO MUCH for this video and ALL your other ones. I am confused though ... some tutors say we should suspend our ribs outwards for as long as possible while singing, others say we should suspend both ribs AND abs (the area beneath the belly button). Others say that when we breathe in and the abs are pushed out automatically, we then have to consciously push our abs inwards (towards our spine) slowly to release breath slowly as we sing. Others say, don't push your abs in, keep it out in tension, but push down INSIDE as though you are pushing your internal intestines downwards - as though you were constipated, so the sensation you feel should be pushing downwards inside your intestines. I just don't know what to believe. Perhaps all techniques are applicable and it's just up to the individual to use the method that best works for them? I know you're busy, but it would be great if you had time to answer this. Thank you. :-) Also, I've been on your website but it only seems to have 2 out of 7 free videos available, and some of the text is in Latin!! Best wishes to you.
