I find this warm up extremely hard. Ok the first part, but if you are not trained on high register, it could be worse than one think. I suppose and hope this video is for intermediate... Beginners, don't get depressed!😄
OMG your comment just made me so happy! I thought it was just me. She has an extraordinary “generosity of spirit” and a down to earth manner that makes me feel hopeful. Xox
Freya, you r such an amazing teacher and singer. I’m a singer from israel, I’m learning from you a lot !!!!! Thank you so much for Your great videos. I’m an addict ❤️❤️❤️
Singing in a performance of Bach Mass in B Minor tonight in Harrogate North Yorkshire, so this warm up has been really helpful in the last few days. Very excited as Dame Emma Kirkby is one of the soloists. Its going to be thrilling!
Super instructional video. I’m back to singing at church n find your guidance extremely helpful. I’ve never been trained but feel I’m learning so much from you. Thank you for sharing your talent on this platform!!
Just started your 28-day challenge yesterday, once again! 😍😍😍 Thank you soooo much for everything you do for your RUclips community and all, dear Lady Freya! You make singing easier and more careful, and warmups fun and interesting! 🙏🙏❤
Thank you for the great vocal warm up tutorial! Although I wish that it's not limited to 10 min. so that you can go over the warm up slower, it's too fast for me to catch up especially on the head voice warm ups. Maybe you can do full warm up video with no time limit? :) Thank you.
Thank you for this. I needed a quick warm up before heading of for my singing lesson. I have enjoyed your other videos they have been helpful and instructive without boring me to death .😊
Makes total sense. I often get divided between sitting at the piano where I can be more musical or standing where I can project more. A question: was this your first warmup of the day? I cannot achieve the same vocal quality when you switch to head voice. I love a lyric coloratura! 🥰
this is so amazing Your really great guru I just remember I had a dream that I meet you in the person.that is look real to me I hope in the future we can Catch up I live in Australia but im from Philippines.I always watching your videos and help me grow my voice.Thank you so much Freya..
I’ve been practicing a lot with your videos, and I especially love the soprano songs. Looking forward to your one month course if you are starting that again ❤
Wunderbar, vielen Dank! Habe wieder meiner "Kopfstimme" gefunden mit Ihrer Hilfe. Question about the course: how is it structured...what is the schedule.... is it once a week... how many hours instruction/week?
Could someone tell me how long the warm-up lasts? In other words how close to the singing engagement do you need to warm-up for it to be effective? In addition, does anyone know the purpose of the chewing motion?
Thanks Freya, wonderful warm up ! Can you give me an advice for my breathing ? I can expand my abdomen or ribs seperately but not together. Whenever I try to combine they my breathing becomes shallow.
It would be great if you could help us bridge between super high complex high pitch and very simple easier exercises. It felt like it went super fast from 0 to 100 and I wasnt able to follow along, felt like i was pushing my voice too much and too fast
Hi, Freya! I'm a 17 year old boy. I used to do a lot of vocal fry and speak in a low voice for the last 6 months. Now my voice isn't normal, it's inconsistent, low volumed and weak. How long shall it need to be recovered? Can you please help?
Why do the chewing exercise? I know you choose exercises that directly relate to actual singing. Is it to learn to keep voice steady even through lip, jaw movement?
Oh yeah I know that too well. In my case there was just too much tension in voice. I was pushing way too hard because my voice just wasn't ready to sing that song. Anyways, I kept practicing and improved my voice. When I learned to sing with mix voice or let's say I just found it (I still need to practice a lot!) , the tension was almost gone. (Btw that was litteraly 3 days ago) My voice feels soooo much better and I even noticed a vibrato on some notes. I never had a vibrato before!!!!! So even though I'm not an expert at all, my advise would be to keep practicing try not to pull your chest voice or 'reach' for these high notes.... Especially as a beginner singer it's so difficult to find songs to sing because pretty much all songs either have these crazy high belts or complicated riffs or whatever. So just take it easy, don't give up or be upset..... your voice will get better. It will built more stamina over time.

When doing the "it's easy!" part near the end, my son piped up and asked 'what's easy?' 🤣🤣
I find this warm up extremely hard. Ok the first part, but if you are not trained on high register, it could be worse than one think. I suppose and hope this video is for intermediate... Beginners, don't get depressed!😄

This was fun...didnt know where you were going but it took the stiffness out of classical warmups. thank you
As a soprano, I found this a great warm up, just off to sing at a wedding in North Yorkshire UK - 4 anthems and 4 hymns! I've subscribed.
She's terrific! Thank you so much.
Thank you for the great vocal warm up tutorial! Although I wish that it's not limited to 10 min. so that you can go over the warm up slower, it's too fast for me to catch up especially on the head voice warm ups. Maybe you can do full warm up video with no time limit? :) Thank you.

Thank you for this great warm-up! Works perfectly for my soprano voice.
Makes total sense. I often get divided between sitting at the piano where I can be more musical or standing where I can project more. A question: was this your first warmup of the day? I cannot achieve the same vocal quality when you switch to head voice. I love a lyric coloratura! 🥰

Wunderbar, vielen Dank! Habe wieder meiner "Kopfstimme" gefunden mit Ihrer Hilfe. Question about the course: how is it structured...what is the schedule.... is it once a week... how many hours instruction/week?
New subscriber your chest exercises really helped. Made my voice louder and I got out of that tip toe voice.
Thanks
Hi, why are you not a fan of lip trills to warm up? Just wondering. Thanks.
That was lovely thank you!
Gracias son excelentes los ejercicios puedes dar ejercicios para relajación de la laringe
you are the best
Could someone tell me how long the warm-up lasts? In other words how close to the singing engagement do you need to warm-up for it to be effective?
In addition, does anyone know the purpose of the chewing motion?
Why don’t you like lip trills? Love your videos btw 😁
I love it!! ❤🎉
Awesome
Thanks Freya, wonderful warm up !
Can you give me an advice for my breathing ?
I can expand my abdomen or ribs seperately but not together. Whenever I try to combine they my breathing becomes shallow.
It would be great if you could help us bridge between super high complex high pitch and very simple easier exercises. It felt like it went super fast from 0 to 100 and I wasnt able to follow along, felt like i was pushing my voice too much and too fast
I can't stop holding my jaw tense.... I've tried everything to loosen it but when I go for the higher notes it automatically tenses!
נהדר!

How can I tell if I am in head voice or chest voice?
And also you didn't explain it, but what is the significance of the imaginary chewing?
Gosh airplane over here at the same time 😮
❤❤❤
Эти распевки для сопрано подходят?
Why do the chewing exercise? I know you choose exercises that directly relate to actual singing. Is it to learn to keep voice steady even through lip, jaw movement?
As a first timer it's a bit difficult for now.
What'd you say at 9:30 and 9:44?
I would love it if there was a tank top.
The second one make me yawn 😮
Hey there, when I try to sing a song my voice gets tired after singing two three lines. Why so? Am I singing so loudly or anything?
Oh yeah I know that too well. In my case there was just too much tension in voice. I was pushing way too hard because my voice just wasn't ready to sing that song. Anyways, I kept practicing and improved my voice. When I learned to sing with mix voice or let's say I just found it (I still need to practice a lot!) , the tension was almost gone. @@lisamaiwald1703 agree, went through the same
way too fast creates voice damages for people like us listeners
Thank you Freya
thank you 😊
Awesome
