Guys you did a great job! I purchased the a3 quattro version 2016 and its amazing.I agree that even when im driving to the variety store in my trackpants it feels like im going somewhere special in this car.The key with these cars is to load them up with features to feel luxurious.Such as power passenger seats,dual climate,interior ambient lighting, navigation,keyless ignition, etc. Without these upgrades you will feel stupid driving the 4 rings thats missing the important stuff.

you're right ! normaly a4 = series 3 a6 = series 5 and a8 = series 7 but be happy, the a3 is better than a serie 3... so the a4 will be absolutely better than a serie 3 ;)
Good review. Despite the fact the Merc is the worse one here, I will take the Merc over the other 2 make. It is down right damn gorgeous. Like a beautiful woman that doesn't know how to cook. I would rather wake up to that!

Based on the episode, I'd summarise the 3 series as the most practical car of the 3. Boring to look at, yes, but I don't find the Audi any better than the BMW. The CLA 200 is really beautiful to look at, what a shame.

In my honest opinion (talking about compact executive or shorter D-segment cars), and now, with the arrival of the NEW and REAL-deal W205 Merc C-Class, I think you guys should pitch that new C-class together with Beemer 320 (at least) and Audi A4 (no more A3 please - A3 quattro or not, and that Merc CLA should best be coined as sport sedans instead of anything else, IMHO), Lexus IS and the Infiniti Q50. As for sub-RM200k D-segmenters, how about pitching the likes of the ALTERNATIVE choices such as Chevy Malibu, Hyundai Sonata LF, with the facelifted Peugeot 508, VW Passat as well as the upcoming new Ford Mondeo for this year? And how about pitching an episode which you can name as "THE BUDGET HATCH Dilemma: How worthy can they be for less than 6-digit Malaysian pricing" showcasing the likes of Ford Fiesta to pitch with the likes of Kia Rio, Mazda 2, Honda Jazz 2014 as well as Malaysia's own all-new Proton Iriz 1.6 Executive which are powered up by engines of 100 bhp and more? Alternatively, the Perodua MyVi 1.3 can also be pitched with the Kia Picanto, Mitsubishi Mirage AND the Iriz 1.3 for the less than 100 bhp or 1.2L/1.3L category as well. As for C-segmenters, how about a pitch between alternatives such as VW Jetta and Nissan Sylphy with the Peugeot 408 and Renault Fluence (in a C-segment battle of East versus West)? Cheers!
They do realise that the boot test is a bit unfair because the bmw is a not really the same type of car as the other 2. Both CLA and A3 are a hatchback first before sedan.
May I know will the BMW 316i underpower when it drive to Genting? Because after bought the Nissan Almera, I have been scare for those underpower car. But if it can easily climb up Genting without underpower issue then it should b a good choice. ^^
I really hope Mercedes in Malaysia would provide the CLA250 with a better gearbox in the future, perhaps that may attract more buyers to get them. And I'd recommend people to watch the video at the end, typical Toyota fanboy was hilarious.
Toyota doesn't make nice cars like they used to. I remenber laughing my ass off when a vios owner told me she was averaging around rm10 on an approximately 14km trip back and forth while i was averaging rm5 in an e90 corolla on the same trip

A3 is fast but it over-priced. It's the same price as the a4 and that car is fully loaded CLA is drop dead gorgeous, maybe it's flaws of space can be overlooked. But the gearbox is terrible and ride is crap 316i is boring. Exterior and interior are boring. But at this price point, probably the best value. But it doesn't handle well. That's the M sport.
The A3 is still the best performer though, add an extra 40k for all wheel drive, great gearbox and good 0-100 time, worth the money if you ask me. But the CLA unfortunately picks up more chicks.
Here in Germany, they call audi drivers either a pro or a show off. That's because you get the most hp for the least price. So either you're a young guy wanting the most hp, or a pro that can handle high hp. However the handling is not as good as the BMW. I'll take the BMW home anytime if I have the money! Top handling, good AT and good looks (at least for me).
It's such a shame that I've to admit that although the 3-series is too mainstream, but it still offers the best package on overall for that price. *sigh* I guess that's why it's too mainstream!

I'll give a constructive criticism to the episodes of car reviews so far, it has been great to see Malaysians finally did some of these reviews, but sometimes the reviews caught of topic, maybe too much jokes or other funny concepts they try to put into it. I hope these cars can be reviewed professionally because they are many serious watchers out there would take it seriously based on the things said in the video, so i hope you guys will have more passion to bring out more of the car itself instead of funny jokes. Thank you.
I agree. The faux rivalry and the jokes that usually comes with it are starting to bore me. It's starting to look more like an act, rather than reviewing the cars objectively. I prefer honest reviews, minus the acting and scripted rivalry. However, I'd like to congratulate the team for creating the best Malaysian video car review so far. Hope the show will be better next season.
biased as a3 was what i thought would be best. cla is better than hafidz puts it, just yes it's a bit style over substance. 316-what you'd buy to say i can't afford a BMW.. but i want one anyway

The bmw 3 series should be matched up with the mercedes c class and the audi a4... The bmw does not come with driver power seats. I bet if you put the shortest guy in the bmw, he would not be able to touch the petals. I have driving all three vehicles. The bmw feels heavy. The mercedes seats are too small for taller driver. The audi a3 2.0 all wheel drive was lite, nimble, sporty and fun to drive. Great and funny video guys....
