I am km 2014 owner, and I love it and proud to be a k5 owner. Is a nice car and fun to drive. Just some minor upgrade it is perfect. Sun roof is my night time favorite features. No doubt is the k5 won.
I've been noticing comments here about the Kia Optima being underated, especially from people outside of Malaysia. Well, I understand, the Kia Optima Turbo is a great car but unlike overseas variants, the Kia Optima here in Malaysia is only putting out 160 hp if I am not mistaken. In that case, since there is no turbo K5 here in Malaysia, I would say that the best choice is still the Honda Accord. They should have got the grey colour Honda Accord to review instead of the gold one though, then I think it would have had a chance with that guard at the car park entrance haha. As for the Teana, that would be my second place choice for this review. It's a nice car, but the accord appeals to me better in design.
467 HP Toyota Lexus RC-F 440 HP Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X 420 HP BMW M5 E39 375 HP Volkswagen Golf 7 R 375 HP Honda CIVIC TYPE R 290 HP Hyundai Genesis (Weakest link)
Just bought All New Teana 2.0 XL. It is true whatever the guys said about Teana especially, fuel saving efficiency. The look...awesome!!! It suits to those believe in innovation, move forward and achievement.
I LOL'ed hard in this episode. Another great episode and as much informative as entertaining it is. I've been dreaming of Optima K5 and this review does provide me a greater understanding of the car and its rival. Somehow, it does seems like the lines that draw the differences between car segment begins to grayed up. It feels as if Civic is better than Accord now...
yuunjac Im about 5' 11 1/2" tall and the rear leg and head room is quite tight though. In spite of that, Honda has taken the approach to offer a comfort as their top priority in most of their models. So, yea. =)
Dominic Carlisle I'm at about 185cm, so there's isn't much car out there that I could get comfortable with. Prolong driving tend to cause my body aches. There are cars that I like but simply doesn't work for me such as Ford Fiesta, Cerato, & etc.
yuunjac Oooo i see. But I noticed tat even in a coupe style body frame like the Sonata, i fit perfectly well. They just get it right there. My guess is due to the low positioning of the seats. Hmm so, Panamera maybe? =P
all, i think body weight is freaking important too.. the lighter you are the better support you get, the better fuel economy too... thats what i learnt.. :)
Accord should have won. It's a much better car design wise and for overall features.A towkay will never agree to be chauffeured in a TEANA- Not in a Nissan ever. The car looks like a plain Jane compared to ACCORD's crisp lines. Thanks Paultan for excluding CAMRY. It's an overrated car except to laughable Sam Loo.Overall nice episode especially the " Pak Guard " test.
Looks very subjective. Some might agree some might not. And in my view Teana looks the best among all, but doesn't mean Accord is ugly. Just uglier than previous version. More improvement we could see from nissan and Kia side. As for comfortability, teana leather seat way comfortable n solid after test drove both few times. And Tau ke won't chosen all these but Camry or better car Merc/bmw. Nways differ ppl differ preference. All r good as long as u r cash rich =D
Ck Koh I respect your opinion, but I just can't see how someone can like that Nissan. The newer 2015 model isn't that bad. I could call it good looking, but this, this is horrid.
Thanks for your reply. This is just your own opinion and preference on the look. Well we should respect one opinion but not making decision based on how other feels. After drove for 2 months on the road, I do think it's one of the best lookin car on road (now). Just elegant. And the leather seat is definitely the most comfortable in its class I bet. (I've sit on my bro Mazda 6 the seat no way near to this teana). Well just my preference and everyone can have their own =)
This episode is about the best 2.0 D-Segment sedans cost under RM150k it best to comfort a person along in the rear. 1. Honda Accord 2. Nissan Teana 3. Kia Optima The Honda Accord with its luxury, practicality, quality, comfort and modern standard the Honda Accord is the desirable car.
Hey team, this is a great series and I'm loving it so much! It's so informative, and yet entertaining! I enjoy watching it amd alwiz looking forward the next episode! I like the way u guys share with the POV of a average car owner would do. I oso like the angle of the video, transition of the footage & everything. Keep it up!
Best episode so far! Its nice to see Drive setting the example in car reviews for Malaysia. Would love to work for Drive as it is my dream to work with cars.any vacancies??? =P
The acting has improved a lot. hehe.. btw just wondering if you guys can add in some reviews about car paint choices available. For example, the Storm Blue for Teana.
***** Great job, guys. The show just gets better & better. The element of positive criticism is coming into play. Can't wait for upcoming series. Keep up your good work nonetheless no pressure guys. Hats off! Last but not least, if it's possible to upload the bloopers, please do. =D
So i guess the Camry GX trim isn't shown here because someone "fly kite"? (Msian term) Good to hear that Hafriz is getting better with his presentation. Thumbs up episode.
I test drove Nissan Altima , Kia Optima , and a Honda Accord in 2013 and all drove well but you cannot gun these in lower gears and expect seemlessly shifted gears. They are not made for this type of driving , but the Kia flies in its higher gears ! The Kia has 200 hp and it shows but can get you in trouble. The Altima and accord were good at higher speeds but not like the Kia ! The Kia goes from like 50 to 100 in no time effortlessly without feeling a shift , maybe because there was no shift , Idk ! But there is no need to drive this fast but it's there if you want it !
Kia doesn't appear and in fact doesn't come with that "noisy" when you sit at the back. I sit almost everyday in my dad K5. Paul is racist toward korean car here AGAIN.
paultan doesn't mention about the NVH of accord , it's kinda noisy if compare to others car . Still feel the teana and K5 is a better choice if compare to Accord
I have buy a new honda accord 2.4 and you no what my friend say, they say it so nice ,good, and will luxury.I dont agree with this video they say accord dont past the park guard test even my friend work as a park guard he say this car is luxury and have a good design
Crazy.. seeing all Driven episodes so far it seems like they want Transmission of Ferrari, Comfort of a Rolls Royce, Engine of an Aston Martin and price of a Proton. Come on!! choose 1 car lor... its not that all companies are stupid in making their cars.
To me accord had a good looking compare with k5 and nissan. Most probably the car have 2 SRS AIRBAG which is ridiculously to minimize the cost of production. Moreover, honda have a bad reputation on the airbag system which is killed one our citizen lately. I hope they do something to replanish new airbag.
Unfortunately Malaysia does not have the Hybrid. Canada has lah. I test drove it already and damn quiet one. Seats are OK but if the passenger is tall he/she is better off sitting at the front, due to the sloppy rear.
Here in the U.S the Nissan steering is no where as nice as the Accord. The Accord overall nicer than the Nissan. Accord standard engine is a 2.4 liter. I bought the Accord. They all look too much alike. We get 6 airbags on the Accord here in the U.S. Guys, you should drive a 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood. Long, really long, low and wide.
Dan R sad to say when it comes to malaysia here, everything is downgraded.due to the distributor wanted to cut cost to maximize profits.another way to force malaysian to buy louzy local cars
Do not pronounce Honda as a Hyundai please. Honda is non-comparable to the Hyundai. It is a totally different automaker. Hyundai is much better than Honda.
The Koreans are the new Japanese in the world of cars if you get what I mean. Maybe even better. I also believe that Cadillac will give the German auto industry a good run for their money!!!
Just choose another color of the Honda Accord lah, Obviously, this color not so nice and guys made it lose on purpose, I like the interior of Nissan Teana but the exterior is just too.....
Reviewers can’t be honest and they never focus on the most important thing which is reliability. Those who bought Nissan Teana because of this video would surely regret now. They are so unreliable and the resale value is crap. Tons of those Teanas on Mudah are so cheap. Camry and Accord in a long run will always win.
So the Accord clearly the best car get´s second place cause you picked an ugly colour on your test vehicle? is this some sort of a joke, are you trying to be taken serious at all?
I am km 2014 owner, and I love it and proud to be a k5 owner. Is a nice car and fun to drive. Just some minor upgrade it is perfect. Sun roof is my night time favorite features. No doubt is the k5 won.
I have a Kia Optima SX turbo great car with the 274 horse power pretty fast, surprised a 3000GT And a 350z people underestimate this optima car
It's K5 for me.
Good choice.
+Oh! Media k5 for me.. win hands down..
Noob Driver more fuel exhausted than these two cars
glp cars u should try it waste less fuel n economic
Boy is this one of the best Malaysian car reviews ever 😂 love the fact that the Camry is entirely left out hahahaha
Driven’s reviewer grouppies culture was brought to Indonesian car reviewer
Thanks, Driven for making the world awesome!

ALL NEW TEANA ♡ SUPERB QUIET & STABLE RIDE~
Found this review hilarious af! Well done guys
I agree! It's K5 All the way!!! I live in the US and I own a 2013 Kia Optima SXL, and I love it!!!
The background music during sam loo chase made me laugh so hard

How's your car reliability so far ?
But the resale value sucks. Why is that?
@@dashong8912 Good to buy second hand?
8:44 Paul inside the car. Just noticed it today
Kia K5 is cheapest version
Try the SXL
I bet you will never find a sedan with Napa leather
On Japanese mid size car
Also much much more feature
I thoroughly enjoyed the video.. Not much of a review but still presents ample core info to layman users. Thumbs up and keep the videos coming pls!

yuunjac I'm 187cm and I'm driving a Hyundai Coupe. No issue with it. But I've been thinking, I wish it does come with lumbar support, though.
all, i think body weight is freaking important too.. the lighter you are the better support you get, the better fuel economy too... thats what i learnt.. :)
This is a much better episode. Informative and humorous.

Mohd Sallehhudin Abd Aziz I totally agree with you.. we can see now the new accord 2018 how nice is it.. Honda changed a lot than Nissan & Toyota 😍
Nissan Teana is also known as Nissan Altima & Kia Optima is also known as Kia K5.
This episode is about the best 2.0 D-Segment sedans cost under RM150k it best to comfort a person along in the rear.
1. Honda Accord
2. Nissan Teana
3. Kia Optima
The Honda Accord with its luxury, practicality, quality, comfort and modern standard the Honda Accord is the desirable car.
In fact, the Proton Perdana is a rebadged version of the previous generation Honda Accord.
I enjoyed looking at this video! Lol. The review on the Optima was very surprising. I was expecting more from it....looks great though!
Keep it up!
Great video guys, greetings from Adelaide !!!
I drive a '93 Daihatsu Charade Aura and mine definitely certified passed on the 'Pak Guard' test on a large number of occasions xD
Best episode so far! Its nice to see Drive setting the example in car reviews for Malaysia. Would love to work for Drive as it is my dream to work with cars.any vacancies??? =P
I think the better one is Honda Accord 2.0 because the seat are very comfortable and very quite inside.
The acting has improved a lot. hehe.. btw just wondering if you guys can add in some reviews about car paint choices available. For example, the Storm Blue for Teana.
Uncle doesn't like to be in KIA!
Very entertaining as always and yet informatively covering many areas directly or indirectly. I love you guys more than TopGear now. Excellent job.
***** Great job, guys. The show just gets better & better. The element of positive criticism is coming into play. Can't wait for upcoming series. Keep up your good work nonetheless no pressure guys. Hats off! Last but not least, if it's possible to upload the bloopers, please do. =D
Due to it's 274BHP, my Optima SXL Turbo flies! And I've surprised a lot of Mitsubishi's, Lexus and Subaru's when I pass them on the Highways! LOL
Why not the 2015 Kia Optima SXL?
Matthew Chong In Brunei, got 2.0 low spec, 2.4 mid spec, and 2.4 full spec, 2.4full spec is with sunroof & moonroof package in Brunei...
+urenda573 No malaysia only has one spec that is the normal spec
Best review man !! Keep it up
Very informative and interesting especially when legendary Sam loo appear lol
So i guess the Camry GX trim isn't shown here because someone "fly kite"? (Msian term)
Good to hear that Hafriz is getting better with his presentation. Thumbs up episode.
UMW be like "luckily didn't borrow them the Camry"
Haha. Love the toyota guy. Make him permanent in every episode
I test drove Nissan Altima , Kia Optima , and a Honda Accord in 2013 and all drove well but you cannot gun these in lower gears and expect seemlessly shifted gears. Our Kia Optima doesn't come with 200hp
Hahah.. I thoroughly enjoy this episode.. kudos to the presenters and paultan crew..
Please make a video on the Rio Fiesta and Polo!!!
Nice review, what they focus is on " All rounder ". They are kinda neutral except for Toyota which is obviously no match. Sad life toyota =D
I really like the way you do the review .....good jobs gentelmen
Ayo, pak guard why so racist? LOL
Pass guard?
Its not the car but the driver.... Lol.
I love the teana
please do a pickup truck episode guys..
Then sam loo will appear with a hailat! xD
Kia doesn't appear and in fact doesn't come with that "noisy" when you sit at the back. I sit almost everyday in my dad K5. Paul is racist toward korean car here AGAIN.
hands down for the accord
paultan doesn't mention about the NVH of accord , it's kinda noisy if compare to others car . Still feel the teana and K5 is a better choice if compare to Accord
That is really sam loo??
Great comparison. Specially about the obsolete color of Accord and "Style but no substance" of K5. Correct to point review.
Why don't put passat vs honda accord vs Toyota Camry vs optima
I have buy a new honda accord 2.4 and you no what my friend say, they say it so nice ,good, and will luxury.I dont agree with this video they say accord dont past the park guard test even my friend work as a park guard he say this car is luxury and have a good design
Crazy.. seeing all Driven episodes so far it seems like they want Transmission of Ferrari, Comfort of a Rolls Royce, Engine of an Aston Martin and price of a Proton. Come on!! choose 1 car lor... its not that all companies are stupid in making their cars.
The return of Sam Loo
Somehow I feel roda pusing is much more better. Eventhough in different language, but the way they do the review is much more in detail
To me accord had a good looking compare with k5 and nissan. Most probably the car have 2 SRS AIRBAG which is ridiculously to minimize the cost of production. Moreover, honda have a bad reputation on the airbag system which is killed one our citizen lately. I hope they do something to replanish new airbag.
plz do it often
Why these guys complaints about colour of the car, Don't say tht Honda gives u only one color option.
I was laughing my ass off during the rear seat scene in the Optima. That noise x)
Is k5 really that noisy n stiff?i always dreaming to have one...
Not at all.
Yes...
You don't want to get K5 I tell you
Unfortunately Malaysia does not have the Hybrid.

That is too bad. Should add the U.S. versions are made in the U.S. I'm sure there are some things just for the U.S. market.
Good reply, thanks.
I choose the all new kia k5
lol i dont really get it why honda cannot pass by the pak guard??anyone can figure it out for me...
No v6??
Do not pronounce Honda as a Hyundai please. Honda is non-comparable to the Hyundai. It is a totally different automaker. Hyundai is much better than Honda.
2015 sx turbo come with 300hp with 91 octaine
So... the optima is the most expensive of the three?😂😂 and wow its 2014 but the malaysian spec accord doesn’t even have side airbags... ridiculous

2:31 There are six airbags but no resale value

The Koreans are the new Japanese in the world of cars if you get what I mean. Maybe even better. I also believe that Cadillac will give the German auto industry a good run for their money!!!
Ill get the Honda and Nissan... Honda has expriences of the NSX and ACURA and the NISSAN? GTR and Infiniti
"YOU GUYS ARE HILLARIOUS"!!!!

That's because you're mexican
+maximus10463 I actually think that's because I'm not a closed eyes Philippines guy.
I tried all the Cars.. Suprisingly I prefer Kia K5.. If Mazda 6 was there.. It would smoke all the car..
Still prefer hatchback with manual Transmission
hahahaha great episode guys!!
Just choose another color of the Honda Accord lah, Obviously, this color not so nice and guys made it lose on purpose, I like the interior of Nissan Teana but the exterior is just too.....
Who's missed Sam Loo.. 8:31

How is a K5 or Teana or Accord suppose to show you are "rich" ? Poor taste.
Nissan always better than others
Hoy ! Want buy toyota or not ?! . give me a tax free GT86 and we will talk
So the Accord clearly the best car get´s second place cause you picked an ugly colour on your test vehicle? is this some sort of a joke, are you trying to be taken serious at all?
Top Gear from temu
Honda jazz vs kia picanto vs
So he is the infamous sam loo.LOL.
sorry to say but the teana is the worst among the three...k5 for me
Jilaker....after so many years these jokers still makes me laugh
