I just purchased the faper blade to put on my gold magic clips. The fade blade on the wall seems to have nearly identical dimensions to the faper. Is there really a difference? Or is the stylcraft fade blade just so thin that the faper is middle ground between stylcrafts fade and taper?
@@Baldsohard365 couldn’t tell ya just saying that’s why they says it’s somewhere between the fade and taper blade. Basically a fade blade in thickness though
@Seancutshair yeah. That's the part that confused me. I bought the faper to get smoother blends. The saw it was almost identical to the fade blade. What I did notice is that the flat surface of the regular fan blade has increased tension when sliding across my finger. While the ridges on the paper blade reduce the tension and gives it a smoother stroke. Hopefully that translates on my next cut. Don’t know the gamma boosteds but I’d imagine
Would a gamma or style craft taper blade fit a wahl senior or should I just get the andis on it with the philthy mod?
Yeah it fits. I don’t love the purple guards so I stay away from the andis system.
Is the wahl 100 year anniversary Clipper considered a senior? Was wondering what I can put on my 100 year anniversary Clipper ? I don’t wanna do that andis philthy mod either … plz get back to me I’d appreciate it fellas 👌🏽
@@SeancutshairSean can you reply to my comment bro I’d appreciate it
Sean. Can you put a Wahl cutting blade on a babyliss clipper??
Yes you can
@@Seancutshair coo. I want to put the white ceramic blade on my lopros. It makes it easy to see what you are cutting 👌
Not trying to sound like a butt head but the taper blades when zero gapped are closer to 2mm-1.7mm open and about 0.7mm-1mm closed. I know this because I used a digital caliper to get the measurements. What I did was place one side of the caliper on the tip of the moving blade and the other on the outside of the still blade. Take it with a grain of salt, results will vary but you can get pretty good results to help you with your haircuts. Awesome videos brotha blessings.
Yeah of course it can vary depending on how it’s gapped. Just stating the measurements listed on the blades
Which taper blade are using that you can get 0.7mm closed? Thanks
I know you probably answered this before but can you put a S.C faper blade on Wahl magic clips??
Yes
@@Seancutshair thank you!!
Hey bro, I just bought the Babyliss trimmers and it kept tugging me when doing my neck. I Checked on the alignment and I oil them up too and still snags. Not sure if I need a new blade or what. Or just sharpening it?
Just needs to be adjusted right. Try it a few times until you get it where it doesn’t snag
Hello, why do i cut with a taper blade better then a faper blade ?
Taper blade is more forgiving and cuts a little softer
@@Seancutshair Okay thanks
I just purchased the faper blade to put on my gold magic clips. The fade blade on the wall seems to have nearly identical dimensions to the faper. Is there really a difference? Or is the stylcraft fade blade just so thin that the faper is middle ground between stylcrafts fade and taper?
It’s pretty close to the same but the faper has ridges on it to be more like a taper blade
@Seancutshair what difference/advantage do we get with the ridges?
@@Baldsohard365 couldn’t tell ya just saying that’s why they says it’s somewhere between the fade and taper blade. Basically a fade blade in thickness though
@Seancutshair yeah. That's the part that confused me. I bought the faper to get smoother blends. The saw it was almost identical to the fade blade. What I did notice is that the flat surface of the regular fan blade has increased tension when sliding across my finger. While the ridges on the paper blade reduce the tension and gives it a smoother stroke. Hopefully that translates on my next cut. Which will be a while since I'm a home Barber who only cuts my family's hair. LOL. I appreciate the reply. Keep up the great work

Should i have a taper blade zero gapped on my seniors and then use my zero gapped magic clips for detailing?
Just preference. I don’t zero gap my clippers just my trimmers
@@Seancutshair thanks for the reply man, im new to cutting so i dont know whether to use either a taper or fade blade on one clipper or use the same on both clippers
Your amazon link dont work
Not sure which link you mean. This video is old as heck so idk
The one that says my Amazon finds or whatever
I just replaced my fade blade with the taper blade but every time I tighten it down the blades moves outward (babyliss clipper). Any suggestions???
Just have to hold it in place real solid when you tighten it
The fusion blade is really a fade blade its super thin even thinner than a wahl fade blade. Only difference is the ridges on it, great for the skin line, but cuts very short and unforgiving.
Yeah it’s similar. It still cuts slightly different than a fade blade though
Any performance difference in the taper blade when it comes to different brands? I’ve only ever used gammas since it came with the x ergos
No should pretty much be the same
