    I recently changed shops and my new boss said she’s “really impressed with my fades for someone who’s only been cutting for a year”. Seriously Sean, you’re the reason that I am the barber that I am. You’re teachings are why I cut as well as I do. And things I used to struggle doing (cutting the top), I do with so much more ease now. You’re the best teacher on RUclips that I’ve found yet. You’re actually the first one I found lol, BUT stills the best nonetheless because I’ve tried to watch others and it’s seriously not the same. So I feel like I need to tell you THANK YOU!! (and please keep making videos lol)

    Quick question, I notice that when setting in the guide lines that you utilize the whole clipper blade, and my question is, when you go to blend out the lines, do you use more of the corners or what looks like half of the blade versus using the whole blade? Oh sorry one more thing? How much pressure do you apply when using clippers?

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  Год назад +1

      Yeah I usually set them in with most of the blade. The more curved the guideline is the less blade I use. You should be push enough to have it flush to the head but the clients head shouldn’t be bobbing back and forth

    What's up Sean, finally graduated barber school, been in the shop now about 1 month. I had a question about stretching the skin when takin out the lower 1 or 2 guidelines, mainly that last line. Is this something you do or have done when cutting? I understand how it could be helpful but I also feel like it could throw you off from being able to accurately follow that guideline around the shape of the head. I would love to hear your opinion on this man.

    • @XX_truth.Hurts._XX
      @XX_truth.Hurts._XX 2 месяца назад +1

      Make the line on one side of your head using a reference point like the point of the eyebrow or the point of your side burn square on your temple where it starts to go down. Then instead of following the line all the way around the back to the other side, while looking in a mirror, take a long comb (or pencil or ruler) and put one end up to the line on the side you already cut with the rest of the comb pointing away from your face. Then roll the comb across your forehead to the other side and match up the uncut side with the cut side in the mirror. Hold your finger in that spot with the top of your fingernail marking where the line needs to go. Remove the comb and cut the line where your finger is. Now you have a line on each side and just follow it around to the back now.
      After some time of doing it this way you'll be able to eye it out without the comb just using your finger. That's how I learned to do it. Been a barber/stylist since like 2011. Hope this helps.

    Yoo so you use the 1 also to lighten the line for the 1/2 i should try that maybe it finaly helps me to remove that last line thanks!

    I don't have a clipper with levers to have open or close. But a trimmer with 0.5 mm steps and a zero gapped trimmer. Can I still fade?

    Idk if you can maybe make a tutorial, how to do a fade from top of the hair to bottom, instead of bottom to top? Im struggling a little bit with this. Let say if somebody have a 4 on top how would you do it?

      Same steps but you just don’t put guidelines in fading down. Harder to stay organized in my opinion

    I don't know how you use the Andis Slime Line Pro to bald out. Everything time I used this trimmer, the blades would clog up and I would have to take apart the blade to clean it, even with short hair

    Is there a chance that you could make a fade video with line graphics to show how high to take the clipper up per section. I’ve accumulated hours watching your video because I believe you to be the greatest barber of our generation. I am just struggling with the ability to understand how far do you go through the lines to fade them out.

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  Год назад +1

      This video is full of diagrams showing how big to make the sections. The three finger video I dropped a few weeks ago will help as well

      Quick question, I notice that when setting in the guide lines that you utilize the whole clipper blade, and my question is, when you go to blend out the lines, do you use more of the corners/half of them blade versus using the whole blade? Oh sorry one more thing? How much pressure do you apply when using clippers?

  • @mr.doitall
    @mr.doitall Год назад +1

    When you are taking out the line from your first section (bald to the open no guard section) are you only using the corners of your clippers to bump it up each time? Or?

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  Год назад +1

      If the fade is pretty straight around I use a little more of the blade. If it’s dropped or a burst I use very little corner
