Alex Rudinger - Revocation - "Dismantle The Dictator"

- I recorded this play-through at the same time as my video for 'Madness Opus' by Revocation. As some of you already know, I filled in for Revo on tour a few months back while their drummer was recovering from an arm injury. Had a blast with the dudes! This is one of the tougher songs that I learned & was a ton of fun to record.
Huge thanks/shout-out to Dan Gargiulo of Revocation for recording the guitar track used in this mix. The alternative would have been to try and mix my recorded drums with a filtered version of the album track (which would have been terrible). So THANK YOU Dan!
Also big thanks to Adam 'Nolly' Getgood for the mix job! Nolly continues to blow me away with every mix he does; it's a pleasure hearing what he can do with the sounds I capture here at home.

2 things:
•the throne is low.
•alex is fast and do blastbeats, and has a lot of power.
On your Channel "spectresoundstudio" (one of my favourite channels on RUclips by the way) you said that this 2 things are wrong in drummers, wich is clear is not.... all the drummers have different bodies, weaknesses and strenghts, i think.

AEONSCREW I actually agree that if your throne is too low it will be hard on your back over time. Not sure if that's what SpectreSoundStudios was getting at (haven't seen whatever video you're talking about), but if that's what he meant then I'd have to agree.
I don't actually sit that low; just above 90 degrees. If you sit below that (so you're thighs up go upward) there is a chance that you could hurt your back (over time). Of course, there are exceptions to everything; like you said everyone's body is different. I do agree with that! But I think that for most people sitting that low could potentially/eventually do damage.

Thanks for the reply! Sure, that hurts you after a some time, buuuut, in my personal experience (heel up, and a throne a little bit low, nothing extreme you know) my back is better than ever!! With the high throne, my back hurts a little and i dont have Any balance, of course, for heavy hits it would be logical a high throne....gravity. But with a good technique, a throne a little bit low works fine (at least for me) with the ankle movement! By the way, in my opinion, 2 of the best RUclips channels !! Keep with the good work dudes! cheers !!

I'm a sucker for intricate use of the hi hat. Some people do some crazy stuff with their brains and bodies, leading a god only knows time signature over a pattern that each limb is kind of in its own world, all while the left foot is steady on the hat pedals. Blows my mind forsure. Great job Alex as always man, you're an inspiration and I hope you can pass on that gift to the youth after us as well

Amazing as always alex. Been a long time fan of yours. If i may share an observation (not talking crap), i dont like that ride placement. Ever since you placed it above the hi hats, (i know these songs anything but easy), but it seems like you're working harder at doing what you do best. It doesnt look as smooth as you normally make it seem to be. I loved your old set up with the ride further to your right. Anyways, keep up the phenomenal work! Horns up!! \m/,
I really think this guy should do an AngelMaker song. Its a bit heavier and maybe a bit too simple, but it would sure look and sound amazing and id love to see how Alex plays it! :D
