- I did the transcribing work for 'The Coma Ecliptic Drum Transcription Book' by Blake Richardson & thought some of you might like to see those transcriptions put to good use in the form of a cover!
Blake is a TRULY sick dude, as are all the guys in BTBAM. So buy the book. 'Cause they're sick. Honestly that really is a good enough reason. But the drum notation is also pretty cool too ;)

I got to see their "An Evening With"-tour...they played songs from every album except the Parallax EP and it was otherworldly. Not long before COVID, god damn. I had a ticket to go see Russian Circles but that was a month into the Copenhagen lockdown. We wait for better times. :)

I'm not a drummer. I've sat a kit once and managed to hold a 4 on the floor beat together for about 10 seconds... but watching this man literally smack the shit our the kit but maintain such feel and finesse and fluidity is mesmeric...
Your covers of other artists' music is very welcome, not only for variety's sake, but also as an indicator of the closeness and interconnectedness of the metal community.

I never said it was the reason he covered them, though. But the fact that he did does show in a small way that the metal community is far more interconnected than others, in general.
i picked the book up at a BTBAM show and was pleasantly surprised Alex was involved in creation. very much appreciate having a transcription that's well formatted. Memory Palace in particular is impressive to read through.

Best drummer face out there. This video is awesome for three reasons: It's an instrumental version of Ectopic Stroll, I finally get to see exactly how it's played, and it's Alex. The man is a machine.
Alex is one of the best drummers for his ambidexterity and actual ability to read and write music (hence the transcriptions for Coma Ecliptic). His kit always sounds incredible as well, props to the sound engineering. Keep up the great work as always Alex, excited for Good Tiger's next album!

You definitely feel the story this is telling without the lyrics, but the vocal track adds a layer to this track that makes it unlike anything else I've heard from any metal band.
