    I've said it before, but I would love to have a solo only DMZ mode. It's a type of game mode I want to sit back and play by myself occasionally, but running into 3 man teams doesn't exactly make it the easiest thing to do. I rarely ever get a nice exfil streak going because of it.

      3 Tips come to mind:
      (1) Hostage rescue - Sometimes the rear chopper ramp isn't quite low enough to walk the hostage onto, so just plop him down below the ramp, hop on the ramp and pick him up again.
      (2) Sinister Idea - I never see peeps doing this and I keep forgetting to! Snuggle a mine or claymore near the body of your downed victim and wait for carnage when their mate goes to revive him.
      (3) Proximity Chat - Don't leave it on all the time unless you want to advertise your position - instead set a favourite in Quick Settings so you can flick it on when you want to chat with potential new mates, etc.

  • @dewrito2325
    @dewrito2325 Год назад +32

    The only few bits I of advice that sometimes work for solo players is:
    Pretty basic, I know, but headshots on armored boys will half the time to kill. It's hard in the moment, yet practice makes perfect. Find a favorite weapon with controllable recoil. Start at the upper chest, maybe the neck and the recoil will set you up for consecutive headshots.
    Check your corners. If you're in a city, you've gotta take it slower than usual. Cover is vital.
    If a gunfight is too much, reposition yourself. They may lose sight of you, and you can get the drop on them from a different angle.
    Stealth can be used to take out half the enemies, that way when a firefight breaks out, only five guns are after you, not ten. Takedowns, throwing knives, and suppressors.
    Having fun is the most important part.
    If you are willing to be friendly to real players and you see them before they see you, you can use the command to ask to join their squad. However this may alert the not-so-friendly players to your location and they may gun for you. High risk, high reward.
    And above all else
    Drink. Some. Water.

    • @dewrito2325
      @dewrito2325 Год назад +2

      @@MyMaxKitty very true, been happening more and more because of that since games like this came out, perfect example is the first few months of the mod DayZ. People try to be friendly but get destroyed, which in turn makes that friendly person not trust anyone and blast people on sight. The thing is though, if we all adopt that mentality, than no will ever trust anyone and we create a never ending cycle of betrayal.
      We have to be the example that breaks the mold. I've had people take out my friend, but gambled my own life saying friendly, no gun in hand and pray they won't shove a shotgun up my nose. It's worked a few times. Good luck out there everyone.

    Armor boxes actually provide 6 plates. When dropping an armor box, drop any equipped plates first and make sure you have at least one empty slot in your backpack. When you use the armor box, it will fill your equipped plates and provide an extra 3 plates in your backpack. If you dropped your plates before picking up the box, then you pick those back up.

    Here's a big tip, you can make your insured weapon a contraband weapon by dropping it, have a team member pick it up then drop it again, and when you pick back up make sure it goes in your secondary slot. To do this just drop both guns at once, pick up your original secondary while holding nothing and it becomes your primary. That way, after you exfil, you can store it as contraband or just build yourself a completely new insured weapon and roll with two amazing guns.
    AI can actually show up at that mini gas station but I've never seen more than two be there. Thing is some teams can clear them out just driving by easily so you can hit it numerous times and never see anyone.
    I see you covered that contraband insured weapon at the end now but I'm leaving how to do it anyway.... It's extremely useful. You can also stow a weapon in your backpack and I've found that doing this with other operator guns, or even the suppressed M4s that some Tier 3 armor bots drop, is nice for contraband. Suppressors make a huge difference in DMZ, not just for other operators but hiding from bots as well.

    Dunno if this has been mentioned before:
    If you have an ammo crate equipped from the start and you find yourself in a longer lasting fire fight you can actually use your ammo crate a second time after using it, by right klicking on the icon in your inventory where it usually sits. You will drop your 'used' crate and you can pick it up again.

    @stodeh - I watch all of your videos with Westie, and there is one thing I don't think you know about since you don't ever plead for help. When you plead for help, you actually leave your teammate cam and the camera goes back to your body. This allows you to spy on your body and any looting that the opponent is doing on you. You can tell your teammate that you are being looted and that enemy is therefore at risk. I don't think most people plead thinking they will get the help - they use it as a spying tool. Thanks for the amazing content!

    Tip number 1. the moment you spawn, run to cover. There are a couple spawn points where you are out in the open in direct line of view of other players spawning, if you know the spawn points and have a good sniper, you can drop a player before they even move from their spawn points. Many players will instantly go to their map to plan out where they want to go, while you are standing there, it only takes a few seconds for someone to snipe you down. I do it and it has happened to me. Spawn, take cover then get into your map.

    Also a tip(also currently a bug), if you use your Ammunitions box, there is a bug that the box will remain in your inventory slot, it will stop you from using a new one. You can actually right click on the slot(the one that has the trophy icon) to drop it, it will drop the box.. but you can loot it again and use it again. Basically allowing you to use 1 the same ammo box twice. It's useful in a lot of scenarios and missions. They may fix it in the future but until then, it is helpful, specially to get more smoke nades.

    - lighthouse key for resupply
    - if you mark the hunt contact and it turns from green to white, it means you are last team
    - I agree with riding cars if you have no plates, but if you do have plates, you will lose them if any bots start shooting
    -Teir 3 bots can be one shot with snipers, aim for chest above plate carrier or armpit both kill without breaking armor so more plates drop too.
    - If early you can plant c4 in final exfil then hide. Always look at ceiling when entering final exfil
    - I have a post it for mission keys to save even though I'm finished with all, as having keys is a great way to help/make friends.
    -The game is more fun with a 6 man team and people are more likely to join if either not shot at all or completely down. Choose before starting a fight you don't need.
    -People seem more likely to join at start of match too. Knowing spawns can then allow you to send 1 player to negotiate joining them. Then have the prior teammate run back to team and get the two left to join.
    -If you are in a fight and losing badly, try to join the other team, sometimes you can still rez your original team even if the other team lets you join. Then you can either combine or rejoin old.
    -You can climb to the top of exfils from the side wings by jumping at center and spaming climb.
    - Bringing a riot sheild for strongholds/building 21 it is basically cheating against ai including wheelie
    - Building 21 spawns one team in each corner of map (but on different levels either 1st or second) use this to figure out where other teams are and where they are going. Doors can tell a tale not just by being opened but by which way opened.
    - close doors in building 21 especially staircases after you
    - If losing in building 21(ie dead teamates and enemy team have grenade launcher or other op thing) run back to staircase and head up or down a level then run across map to staircase behind them and go back to level you were on. Most likely 1 is watching old staircase and other 2 are looting bodies. You might even have a new team fighting them. Wait for the right moment where you can hopefully down looters in one burst. Oh yeah don't shot (at bots) on other floor and 9 out of 10 times you won't get any aggro.
    -Finally, pay attention to names/voices. Just saying the enemies name seems to make them trust you more in offering a team up.

      Your point about shooting Tier 3 bots in the chest/neck above the armour/armpit and then harvesting their plates is gonna be a game-changer for me, so thanks dude 😁👍
      I was wasting time and sniper ammo on multiple headshots and then maybe getting 1 plate, maybe none, and recently had been trying to get neck shots, but above the plates and in the armpit are gonna be way easier 😊
      Also, I try to close EVERY (external) door that I open behind me, because the bots WILL come and investigate any open door, but 8-9/10 of the Tier 1 and 2 will walk straight past if you close it behind you... 😉

    Wow, that helps a lot! I was introduced to MW2 through Ground War, so I am just used to dying and respawning to do it again. lol. My friend likes Resurgence, but I find it frustrating due to the varying paces of gameplay and not having MY weapons readily available. This allows me to explore and increase accuracy/stealth while learning more about the game. It also increases patience and decreases frustration by going in not expecting to make it out! Thanks

    Weapons case tip, especially useful for solo players- when the case spawn is observatory or akdar village, you can fly a heli into the zone just enough to land on the far northern telescope roof at observatory or onto the top of the tower in akdar, from there you’ll be able to take easy headshots at the jug, and he won’t respond or fire back. He always spawns in the same spot, so it’s actually really easy to farm him and get the weapons case. Don’t forget to bring a meta XMR and grab a heli ASAP off spawn!

    • @IKARUS_
      @IKARUS_ Год назад +2

      why not just pull the jug out of the zone, is way easier and takes less spawn luck for a helo, just a regual vehicle. And you don´t need a sniper

    • @Paul-yu2db
      @Paul-yu2db Год назад +2

      @@IKARUS_ because the jug spawns in the same spot in the locations I mentioned, so landing on the aforementioned high point gives you direct line of sight to him, keeps you out of reach & doesn’t trigger AI reinforcements. This strat got me all 7 weapons cases (solo) in an afternoon

    A fantastic loot spot accessible without a key is the stronghold that can generate in Al Bagra Fortress, the one directly in the center of the fortress compound. Obviously it will not be there every game, but it's pretty common, about 30-40% of the time it's there. There are 8-10(?) orange crates inside and you don't even need a stronghold keycard -- if you enter through the roof (where the buy station sometimes spawns) the doors there are not locked for some reason. If I spawn anywhere on the south of the map and need gear I check the map for that and head straight there if it's in the right place.

    Using a ledge you can get a hostage onto many of the vehicles.
    When you have a squad and you partially use a self revive but don’t finish it all the way a teammate can pick you up faster (needing only the remaining time you didn’t fill on the circle) and when they get you up you still have your self revive. So never fully use it unless all squad mates are downed or in pvp and need to.

    Amazing guide. Not really a tip, but knowing where every spawn point is can be valuable because if you start to travel around too much, you could quite easily meet another squad. Not a major tip, but if you aim down a weapon and approach a closed door, you will get a prompt to peek inside. You can then slowly open a door depending on how fast you move. Can be useful if someone is hiding in a room and they are waiting for the door to open, or you are trying to be quiet.

    One tip that really saved me and my teammates not just in DMZ but also in BR; is when downed, to do a self revive but not finish it completely (unless you entire team is in dire straits), if you just stop before the end, your teammates can instantly finish your revive (keeping their exposure short), and you keep your self revive for the next time.

    • @dewrito2325
      @dewrito2325 Год назад +1

      Drink. Some. Water.

    Also to everyone else, another easy loot spot after dying or to bulk up your gear etc is when there is a strong hold in EL BAGRA. This only works when its a strong hold at the castle. You can get in through the roof without a key card. Majority of the bots can't get up to you because all the doors are locked below however to get to extra boxes means unlocking the doors....let the mayhem begin. 😂😂

    I knew all of these tips so here are a few to add to the mix.
    1. Using a spotter scope (although it doesn't work traditionally now that it's being fixed) can live ping targets by observing a player through the scope and manually marking them. So long as you don't ping anything the mark will remain on them indefinitely even when they die.
    2. The Javelin/JOKR Launcher will one shot any and every vehicle in the game. Making it impossible for escaping players to make a speedy getaway if you're engaging them. It's also very useful for final exfil as you can impede any players using an LTV (with a turret) from approaching the LZ.
    3. Any Field Upgrade that is a box (i.e. Armor/AP rounds/Munitions) can be duplicated at the moment by briefly picking up another field upgrade after a one minute cool down. You'll notice that, even though I've already used ur field upgrade, that once you pick up a new field upgrade after at least 1 minute that you're former upgrade will fall on the ground. This can only be done once.
