It was so busy. Hope it lasts.
I remember when the mall first opened like 2013 or so that at first the parking was charged. Many people did not like that, so they just made it free maybe two years after.

Wow...I didn't know this existed. I must admit though, that I don't get to Chicago or the suburban areas like I used to when I was younger and prettier. And I LOVE the artwork (and light fixtures)! The lighting of those curved wood pendants at 5:26 (mobius strips) are not cheap. let alone to have an entire isle of them. And the artwork. Wow. You know this is a high rent place. And the interior of the stores, esp. the stark whiteness of some of them, reminds me of the high end stores in the SOHO area of NYC.
I may have said it before, but you know how to create an interesting and good quality video.

I go to this mall probably 1-2 a month. Very busy mall and as highlighted in the video, there's plenty of art installations and they add a calming vibe to the busy walkways. The Gucci store almost always has the longest line and also there's a nice bubble tea stand (always a huge plus for a bubble tea/boba enthusiast like me haha)
I gotta check this place out next time I'm in town. Went to many shows at the old Rosemont Horizon back in the day.
Good idea. There's a lot of Illinois malls that will start opening up
at the beginning of next month.
Urbex- A Peak Inside Well Stratford square, Northbrook hawthorn fox valley Stratford square have already opened and Yorktown.
This is by far my favorite mall in Chicago. You get to shop at some of worlds best fashion brands for discount pricing. Last time I was there, bought a pair of Prada sneakers for under $100. The food court is pretty weak though but no worry. Not far away from the mall is the Rosemont Entertainment District loaded with awesome eateries and restaurants.

I thought the newest indoor mall is the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. I didn't even know about this mall until just now.
I just moved to Florida. The UTC mall in his video is also always pretty crowded. Retail in Florida is definitely stronger than the Midwest . I’ve seen malls around here and in Orlando / fort Myers totally packed with hardly any stores vacant .

Another good one is Woodfield. They completed a nice remodel and update.
@@UrbexAPeakInside Sigh...WOODFIELD MALL in the early 1970's. Now that was shopping! 200 plus stores and 3 levels! SEARS, CARSON PIRIE SCOTT, LORD AND TAYLOR, PENNEYS, and of course, MARSHALL FIELDS!!!

So many "credible" news outlets have gotten their facts wrong about the last indoor shopping mall to be built. TV News channels, The Smithsonian have all claimed that the last new indoor shopping mall was built in 2006. They ignore that Fashion Outlets of Chicago was built in 2013. And they posted after 2013 so they clearly did not do their research. Unless they think that Fashion Outlets was not large enough to qualify, but I think it is. It has anchors, smaller anchors but still. And they have a full food court too.

Very big around a 150 or so stores.

illinois govt will eventually bring that mall down with tax burden
Malls like those have to pay their fair share. For how large it is it needs to pay more taxes than a smaller mall to help the community.
