My mind and me, gives me a holding space to cry and feel emotions instead of numbing by overdosing. I'm so thankful to you selena. Watching this documentary, I also have got to give props to Madonna! The impact that she has had in every womans life, especially other artists, is underrated. When Selena approached Alek to direct this documentary, she was referring directly to „Truth Or Dare“ as her inspiration by saying she has watched in seven (!) times. It is so amazing to see women being inspired by other women. I was listening to Alek‘s interview about Selenas documentary with Eileen Keller in her „going Mental“ podcast. The amount of light, inspiration, energy and creativity that Madonna has brought during one lifetime is incredible. She literally has saved lives be it through her charity work during the AIDS crisis, in Malawi or through her art, creativity and music. Her legacy will speak for itself when she is gone.
