M surprised that the director wants an Indian Princess to look without a Gray-green eye but at the same time for Akbar, he chose light brown eyes. People have misconceptions about Indian eye color. In my family also there are women with light eyes (gray-green, dark gray, and cat eyes). The Indian majority, we do have dark brown eyes but at least 5% have light eyes including blue, green, and yellow color combinations which are rare but exist.

Akbar was happy because the people gave him new name out of love that is “abkar” before this his birth name was “jalaluddin muhammad” and after this event throughout history and even today he is known by the name “jalaluddin muhammad akbar”. “Akbar” means the greatest or the shadow of god. The gold which was being measured by his weight wasn’t the gold given by people, actually it was akbar who was giving the gold to the people in his weight for donation, it was ritual back then that the royal families use to donate gold measured in weight of someone in the family on occasions like birthdays, marriages or celebrations of some sort to express their happiness and gratitude with the people of kingdom.

There was no wife of Akbar by the name of Jodha. Maan Singh's daughter whom he got married to, as a political alliance with the Rajputs, was Harka Bai. Though Jahangir did have a wife named Jodha. I have been to Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by Akbar to commemorate his siege of Chittoregarh Fort, which was the seat of his throne, and which has been depicted as the location of this song in the movie. It is a heritage site, hence big shoots are prohibited. That's why they had to create the set in Karjat, Maharashtra.
