This was pre VFX era , and the director said they have used lots of real animals in it , Hrithik said he fed a elephant with over 10000 bananas on the set😂
Pre VFX? There are a lot of VFX used in the movie for the war scenes & even for palaces.
😂
@@ajeebdastaan2358 not CGI though, they mostly used composition techniques to multiply armies. CGI used very less in this movies. Most are practical effects.
Look way better than movies with vfx to be honest
That entire scene where Jodhaa puts her conditions before the Emperor has a lot of unsaid implications. A) Akbar is now at a stage where he doesn't easily give in to opinions (case-in-point, him sending his general, the man who essentially brought him up as an orphaned ruler, off to a pilgrimage)
B) I don't know if this is factually correct but Akbar did have a temper.
C) whether Hindu or Muslim, every conquerer hoped to have their own religion be the dominant one in their province. Jodhaa asking to be allowed to keep her faith was a huge deal. Especially since women were (and still are) expected to follow the faith of their husbands.
D) Idol worship is haraam in Islam. By asking to bring her God's idol for worship with her, Jodhaa expected (or wished) Akbar to immediately reject her marriage proposal. You can see it in her face when Akbar announces his acceptance, she looks defeated. Her conditions were her one last hope in preventing this marriage from happening.
Oi R*ndi ka baccha
akbar's wife was Rajput but her name wasn't jodha bai and he change her name into harkha bai ( Mariam-uz-Zamani)
Madrasa se history padke aata hai Kya?
These are American dumb don’t understand the sensitivity of Hindu princess marrying Muslim hardcore ruler. Idotiotic review not understanding that no human rights, women rights back then.
Beautifully explained. ✨👏🏽
Utter RUBBISH.
Akbar was married to princess Hira Kunwari, the eldest daughter of Raja Bihari Mal, the ruler of Amer. She was publicly forced to convert to islam and was renamed "Wali Nimat Begum", though in private she was allowed to keep a temple. After she gave birth to Jehangir, Akbar titled Hira, Mariam-Uz-Zamani.
She however was a remarkable lady and was an outstanding wife, mother and Business women. She was the foundation on which the Mughal empire grew. After her decline the mughal's decline started too.

Lol right
Achara for almost all of the Indian movies is such a better person to react- historicals, drama, socio political.. She understands the nuances and emotions much better.
Yes. She also gives a better commentary and doesn't just laugh at the wrong moments.
Real events or not, one of the best historical dramas in Indian Cinema, probably the best and also one of my favourite movies! Should've got an Oscar for costumes and music alone. What a miss of epic proportions! Even though the duration was long, I didn't want it to end. The music by A.R.Rahman is one of his best, world class.
Yeah, nice drama....but definitely not proper history.
Would've loved achara with either of them on this. Her sensitivity to the cultural nuance is very good. They are good but when you sit with an intention to show off one liners in every scene, it just washes the intensity of some scenes. Like from 13:10 to the end it's just a one liner on every single dialogue or action. Hope that's not the case with many such intense scenes further in
Exactly 😐
i sort of agree, but i think it’s because of how seriously i take movies and because i understand what feelings they were battling, she having to leave her family and home for someone just to keep them safe; i think they were trying to lighten the situation cuz that’s how they naturally tend to be and so i liked their reaction

@@rishabhshuklaIPS well that is sort of the point to reacting to it, the comedy they create is all part of the advertising to his subscribers and I think, I'm just glad he's watching this movie and letting us see the reaction
The first reaction of Jodha was understandable about mughals because even though Akbar was on the better side but mughal history is full of tyranny on the general population

Lol then Maharana Pratap was no different from other Rajputs - fighting pointless battles for their own land. Most subdued Rajput kingdoms prospered under the Mughals. Maharana Pratap was not fighting for some "greater good" as most right-wingers make out, he was just fighting for his ancestral property.
Lol, Akbar did not look anything like Hrittik. From most accounts he was short and stout.
Also historically Akbar is considered as one of the most liberal ruler of his dynasty and his era. To allow Jodha to have a temple with idols in it was really liberal, since islam explicitly forbids idol worshipping and his grandfather and great grandson were known to destroy temples using that religious tenet.

These Turkish and Uzbek invaders known as Mughals are the reason we lost from British and lost so many lives and wealth. Our Indian warriors and kings had to keep fighting these foreign invading monsters and did not get chance to work on innovation and technology. By the time British came we were so much behind. By the time we defeated Auragazeb the last Mughal, we were using swords against British modern guns.🇮🇳
I wish jabby did some kind of background check on the history of this movie then he would understand the seer gravity of the situation where a Muslim King marries a Hindu princess and agreeing to having a temple inside a Muslim court is insane .

In Islam idol worshipping is strictly prohibited . Jodha intentionally put that condition so that Jalal himself calls off the marriage . Nobody had the slightest idea that Jalal would agree to keep Shri Krishna's idol in his palace.
Edit: according to some written documents Emperor Akbar with his Hindu queens used to celebrate hindu festivals like Holi , Deepavali . He often performed Yagnas ( Hindi holy rituals) . He was illiterate, but valued the knowledge of all the existing religions.
'Akbar' means ' the greatest' and so was he .

Hay, you both look awesome together, and coming to film, this movie came when i was a kid and i really loved the movie and Akbar, but after reading many books then i realised that the maker tried to show only good side of the king Akbar, but not the other side of him, and no one talks about what Akbar did and how he killed his son's lover (anarkali), "the names of Saleem and anarkali are also taken while taking the name of Romeo Juliet, as the iconic lovers in history, their names are Saleem and Anarkali, Saleem is the son of Akbar, and he loved Anarkali, and then anarkali was sentenced to death by constructing walls around her while she was alive and then she died inside those walls without air, so i can only say that, yes he was a better king when we see his ancestors or his descendents but he was not the best....atleast he wasn't as white as the film portrays him to be.....again i don't want to sound communal but am only saying what i read by being history student, thank you and your reactions are awesome....take care

Hey Jaby...great choice of Movie. I'm loving these.
Such a big movie on Akbar but his biggest competitor Maharana Pratap is not even mentioned 😝 ..
Really enjoyed
You need to watch Lakshya next.. please watch it with achara.
Really want you both to watch it
This movie is far far from the truth
It's all fictional
No reality is shown in this
Showing the brutal mughals very humble
15:46 wait what😲
Jaby is on marathon run ,watching hindi movies trailers.....😀
As for emotional damage jaby, lal singh only made its money back because Netflix paid back 100% of the production cost as licence fee. People have shunned the movie and i won't be surprised if still the collections are high because Amir Khan does have huge international following. Anyhow, it was good 5years journey with you till you became a Muslim apologist.
Exactly man...sab paise ka chakkar hai babu bhaiya... like Rihanna...ghanta kuch pata nahi kya ho raha Bharat mein aur randomly ek loose tweet karti hai same inka hai...bik gaye hain
