Fun fact: divane e aam and divane khas (court) were built in such way that if someone whispered in any corner it will be heard at the kings throng... Hats off to the architect
Hawa Mahal is also the wonder of architecture.
Wow reallyyy 😮😮
Isn't that called echo😐
Bhai hamare college ki canteen bhi esi hi bani hui thi😁
NOT SO FUN FACT: Chittorgarh fell on February 1568 after a siege of four months. Akbar had the surviving defenders and 30,000 non-combatants massacred and their heads displayed upon towers erected throughout the region, in order to demonstrate his authority.
I remember the collective gasp and the giggling in the theatre during the shirtless sword scene. Girls were really enjoying and swooning over him, will never forget! Funny times
I remember when I watched it for the first time as a grown up 🥵
After achara... I think steph is the most loved guest on this channel ❤ she is awesome 😍
And may be hope james
@@nishulivelovelaugh Hope james for sure, atleast for me
@@hardybouy yes I remember permanent roommates series
@@nishulivelovelaugh good old days... probably it was back in 2017
Rachel and hope james 💕🥺
Fun fact: This was the first superhit historical (2008) after Mughal-E-Azam (1960) that worked! It was a huge risk for the producers but it paid off and how! It paved way for many other historicals by SLB after this.
But it’s twisted history where brutal and merciless ruler like Akbar is shown as good and compassionate
@@wolfiesingh7093 akbar was fairly compassionate king... And he was merciless in wars as any king should be
Lagan was also a hit
@@bhupendrak-vc4tm bro haven't u heard about what he did to Salim and Anarkali

He was unhinged throughout this whole reaction 😂
"Hum Mallika-e-Hind ki shaan mein gustakhi bardasht nahi karenge" has a much more powerful feel than "I won' tolerate her disrespect. The language is such a strong point of this movie and it's sad that you guys are missing out on it. The Mughals have a different way of talking than the Rajputs and the Urdu used by Akbar is so rich, royal and hot tbh!!
Absolutely true !! Urdu spoken by native urdu speakers has a winsome charm in it.
It's true for English language movies too
Hindi dubbed Hollywood movies also feel same
@@Akshayadeep_Singh They could have used latin words and old english as used in many English medieval movies.
Akbar has more than 300 vives and 786 girl slaves. Read history. Muslim till date never respect women.
@@bharatiye4492 but Mallika e hind was his favourite and don't forget hindu kings also practiced polygamy even hindu gods practice polygamy too like for example Krishna had 16000 wives
For any history buffs...Elizabeth 1 and Akbar reigned during the same era, there is a letter written by Queen's court to Akbar is fascinating on how much regard he had around the world
He had no regards, she just wanted trade agreements and sadly? She got it.
Yeah, so much regard that she decided to loot India later.
@@honestcat224 it's sad for the future but at the time it was just another agreement
Akbar..👑❤️🙏🏼

Jaby and Steph's jokes in the intense scenes made me love this movie even more 😂😭
Opposite... I felt so annoyed
i salute your tolerance for silliness
@@shubhamrawat9248 exactly, Jaby gets so annoying. Like okay bro, you have already made 10 modern era puns. Move on.
naah ..lil bit is oky but jabby trying too hard.
what? it was actually super annoying
I always come back to this reaction for 7:57 when Steph says swordsman and jabys like “swordswoman*. Come on Steph” he was literally the most animated in this movies reaction for some reason I loved it!
The cinematography, the acting, the dialogues, the authenticity, the intensity ahh !!! Why don't they make such movies now. Every frame of this movie is a masterpiece ❤️
Yeah everything is great about this movie except the authenticity
@@sssssssss1711 watched it as fictional, njoyed as a 'movie', that is it!
@@sssssssss1711 you clearly missed the disclaimer then huh?
If they made this movie now , you know what would happen. 😆😆 It's like as Amir Khan said, "Intolerance"
@@rishabhshuklaIPS well you clearly missed the comment that I replied to, which mentioned the term "authenticity", didn't you?
Please upload 2 Parts daily guys, dying to see the other ones
Singing and music is haram in Islam. Thus, there was an irony in that singing scene where akbar was told that jodha should not break any rules of Islam and in the very next minute they hear her sing.
So how is the sufi culture justified? Just curious, have heard this fact previously
@@abhijeetjadhav2961 Sufis are like "Neo Muslims"
@@abhijeetjadhav2961 sufism is a different sect of Islam,in sufism PPL can pursue arts and mythically express islam,it is just like various beliefs and sects in Hinduism,a different branch so to speak

I absolutely love this movie and have watched it so many times but somehow watching it with Jaby is such a different experience. It's awesome.
Akbar's fort was built in such a way that he could hear anything from any corner of the fort.
In those times, the wife wasn't supposed to eat before the husband. That's why it's humiliating for a wife to eat like that and also proving the wife untrustworthy.
Really? Interesting. I got that Jodha's trustworthiness was being questioned, but wasn't aware of this custom. Do you know why wives were required to eat first.
Funny how Jaby tells one ofJodhaa's sister-servants to shut up because she "talks too much" but he keeps opening his mouth to say literally the dumbest things constantly.
😂😂😂
Salt and spices were always a thing in India, people in Europe use to cross the oceans for salt. Because India was across the Ocean
React to Hrithik's Guzaarish movie.. It's the master piece of bollywood...
THIS MOVIE IS a MASTERPIECE in every sense
That lady who played foster mother of Akbar the great.. is Ila Arun. She is fantastic singer.. she is terrific in Begum Jaan.. you guys should definitely watch Begum Jaan.
This movie i loved soo much ,wish it really happened and was not jst a fiction based on some facts of our history.
Akbar married 32 women to maintain his diplomatic relationship as shown in this movie....
I love Steph, make her a permanent guest on the channel! And you should react to stuff all three, Jaby, Steph and Achara!
Jaby's slang commentary 🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣
wait , jaby and Steph clothes suddenly changed. I was like whoa! But loved stephs reaction.
Most Hilarious Reaction: Aishwarya and Steph had the same expression at 8:23 😂😂😂
Low key mad that Jaby didn't make a joke out of Steph's line about "it's all about the sword"
Mughals were known as very cruel and merciless rulers, but Akbar badshah came out being very different and wise, and had 9 jems for his guidance (most famous is birbal, taansen etc). He was the first Mughal who got respect and love from Indian people.
Thats as per congress historians, not as per Akbar's own biography. Indian kids cannot be taught in text books that 50k hindus were killed every day in mughal rule or converted, right? so textbook taught us what they wanted to brainwashed us, but if you read their own biographies, you will know what they did actually and thought! Having said that i am not against this fictional movie based on fictional characters.
This isn't history 🤣
@@hardybouy tumlog bas harcheez ko congress ko jod dete ho 🤣
@@hardybouy well, Akbar was the only Mughal emperor who ordered the translation of Mahabharat in Persian. He always promoted art and literature. He was an expansionist, willing to conquer Rajputana and Deccan, but he was mostly remembered for his tolerance. The forceful conversions were a part of Adham Khan's conquests against which Akbar got fed up of. Adham Khan's ghost still haunts Lal Kila, visitors have heard the scuffle during their stay. Akbar was tolerant, he had two Hindu queens, the main being Jodha Begum who came to be known as Mariam-uz-zamani (Mother Mary of the Era). Which Muslim would compare his Hindu wife to a Christian deity? Read and research. Do not blatantly make up facts. Akbar was a good king. His successos and predecessors were not.
Also, Chittorgarh fell on February 1568 after a siege of four months. Akbar had the surviving defenders and 30,000 non-combatants massacred and their heads displayed upon towers erected throughout the region, in order to demonstrate his authority.
This is one of my favourite movies and I watch the portion between "Kwaja mere Kwaja" and "Azeem o Shan Shanshah" every single time it's on TV, I know this part of the movie frame by frame, I am so obsessed. Also, I am married to a Rajput prince with a fort and everything, yes the women were vicious, I feel most of them are just jealous simply coz I am not a typical Rajput bindhni(daughter-in-law), also because of my husband's support I just do whatever I want to do, like travelling the world, go on solo trips, buy luxury cars and also drive them. I don't live like other women in the family, just to add, I also have an actual job that I love. It has been 10 years and the struggle is still there, sometimes we do have crazy fights but we are moving through. No matter how sad I am, this movie always lifts up my spirits.
Jaby be like: She had 2 conditions before marraige and now she is creating and approving many more on her own..😄😄
I remember watching this movie in the theater with my parents and when Jodhaa tells Akbar to put "sindhoor" on her, I laughed out loud thinking he was actually supposed to put it on her forehead like a small "tika" (everyone else in the theater was quiet lol). I'm South Indian and was just getting into Hindi movies and serials and didn't understand what sindhoor meant 😂
I'm a muslim ..my family laughed at that scene ...it was funny and cute 😂
What? Do South Indians not wear sindoor?
@@Pillowlips77 Yes, they do. In my mother tongue Malayalam, it's called sindhooram. But I was young at the time and hadn't heard anyone use the word. So I wasn't aware of it.
@@silpy96 Ah ok
Did anyone notice that both jaby and steph's outfits changed suddenly during the reaction 😂
Don't get any ideas😅
Between the movie showing a certain era and Jaby reacting as per this era. Idk what was more happier..
I always tht the way Jaby spoke while the movie is going on.but wondered if I was weird to think so .. but seeing Jaby Reacting this way . I Feel totally normal
at 11:41 question, yes it is humiliating as tasting of food to test if it's not poisoned or what not is done a palace maid...in retrospect, by doing so the wet nurse is indicating the empress is no more than just a palace maid.
Movie and your reaction, this will be an all time hit on RUclips 😊😊
These palaces were built in such a manner that sound from room could be heard 500 meters away. It was done to send distress signal when attacked by enemy. U may visit Golkunda fort to experience this by your own instead of making fun
16:53 "communicate bro" it sounds so funny that Steph is calling the king "bro"
idk why y'all are hating on jaby cracking jokes, it's fine, genuine I feel, one can not observe the deep meanings of somebody else's culture, he might not understand what we did and it's okay , attentive enough to understand the story correctly as well
Yess the sets are real, they are filmed in Amer Fort in Jaipur,U have to visit there if u go to Jaipur someday
Calling it early but this is the greatest reaction jaby has ever done ! 😂😂😂
Indeed the set is a replica of the real fort...Agra fort...
Loving Steph's reaction!!
I still remember how much i love that movie as a child, i still listen to this movie songs even now
Bruh. Can't wait to see ur reaction video tomorrow. Has one of the best parts of the movie.
Its a beautiful movie!!!
Set is actually the fort of Akbar - Fateh-pur- sikari u can check the tour on RUclips
Les goooooooooooooo been waiting for this
Marriage is not just about looks Jaby!
That’s why marriages in West don’t last.
jaby i think you and steph should try doing improv😂😂
Your jokes were on time and humorous
It is weird watching these attempts to analyse people of whom I've only read in my history books as a student. There are only two things I remember of Akbar: 1. Birbal was one of the 9 'jewels' of his court and 2. He was tolerant of all religions which helped him spread and consolidate his empire.
He was not tolerant in start but eventually he turned tolerant later due to certain events ( debate topic different views of Indian writers and Islamic writers)
@@thelegend12346 its not really that debated based on the intolerance and change in policies we get to see during aurangazeb's reign and the very rajput kings in his and his predecessor's court going against him. whatever akbar's real objective was ,as every ruler in existence , he went on wars to subjugate other kingdom, through blood or marriage alliances or any means possible, and such alliances had a direct or indirect impact on his tolerance towards other religion.
A very good point. The main thing is how can people expect someone to rule and conquer kingdoms while being a 'nice guy'. People fail to understand that if you dig deep enough any and every king that ever lived to see their kin take over has killed many innocents and taken many lives for the welfare of the kingdom. That's why it's called warfare.
Judge his tolerance by this: Chittorgarh fell on February 1568 after a siege of four months. Akbar had the surviving defenders and 30,000 non-combatants massacred and their heads displayed upon towers erected throughout the region, in order to demonstrate his authority.
birbal & akbar is a fake story , birbal was in his court sure but rest is just a propaganda .......... & casting HR as akhbar is the most dishonesty shown by d director he sud had cast some chiinese for this akhbar's role.....
THE COURT ROOM IS ACTUALLY FROM A REAL FORT
Great movie 😊
this whole reaction series with Steph is greeaaatttttt.
Though Akbar was not like that, but this movie was cool
Akbar was cruel but he's one of the King on my favourite kings because of his prudential mindset, he was powerful
@@Citadel8281 he was muslim but he tolerated every religion, just how Islam teaches not to force conversation and love in peace and harmony. And there's not one good succesful ruler u can name that wasn't a bit cruel.
@@Citadel8281 Bro go and read some books, he killed 25k civilians of chittorgarh and surrounding area to provoke Maharana as he wasn't able to find him
@@dakshtiwari3027 peaple like you don't read full history ashoka killed more peaple then akber then why he is a hero if you read history there are 2 akbers just like ashok
@@nothing276 yeah I read and I agree but Ashoka is a hero cuz of his complete transformation which was not shown by Akbar
Akbar was possibly the most benevolent of the Mughal kings. Both Hinduism and Islam prospered during his reign. It was only after he died that Mughal dynast steadily declined.
Uff what a movie.. So engaging.
I love watching your reaction videos but I think you guys were not really in the mood to watch this one but more of a task on your plate that needed to be finished. Like a typical office Monday. :) I enjoyed the one liners, it's like watching with a friend a horror movie that I won't like to remember much so continuously joking around... No issues with it personally but this movie had a lot of hidden meanings and new details for everyone that are very deep and require more focus and intent. So unfortunately, you guys have lost a great movie. Nevertheless, look forward to some other reaction because this one I'm not able to align with the movie and vibe of the reaction. :)
I agree with you brother
Yes! Exactly! I missed achara on this one.
Thank god somebody highlighted this! This movie is very close to my heart. B'coz barring the fictionalized love story this is the most authentic historical made in Bollywood. Seriously, I can teach my students a part of Mughal history by showing this movie.
