Thank you for the information, do you get ticket for driving too slow? also are the google maps or apple maps accurate enough to show you exact speed restrictions in the area?
Hi Gerard...thanks for sharing your views. I just got my first speeding ticket at 70km/h over 50km/h zone. That excess speed cost me CHF250. Seems you mentioned you got alot of tickets, I'm just wondering how you do it?? Do you get any discounts 😊
Hi Mk, I tried to warn other people about the rules in Switzerland and how high speeding tickets can get. I had a few speeding tickets, the speedlimit changes so often on the same road/highway, when u blink you missed it and the speedingcameras are everywhere 😂. One time I was rolling down a hill and did 8kmh over the speedlimit, it costet me 160chf. Small mistake at big costs. I don't think they do discounts. If you have a ticket I would pay it, they will raise it after a certain time. Be careful in the tunnels, almost every tunnel got a speeding camera. My advise is, enjoy the views and don't speed. Speeding in Switzerland can get very expensive😉.
What if I dont agree with the ticket, or he cant provide evidence? And what happens to tourists? All the same? If I dont have money with me? Is there a way to complain about high fines? They can put 2 000 000 CHF as well or death penalty? Anyway, great lesson, thanks, but i Think this should be appeal somewhere outside CH
why they still don't want to increase from 120 to 130 km/h on motorways? and also i know that there are at least 20 chirons in switzerland. where they drive them? 😅 also i saw a lot of tunned cars, where they drive them? and why in germany is possible to have no speed limit, and in switzerland its not? why they don't vote for new rules? i believe that the fines for speed are kinda exagerate. Switzerland is a pretty small country compared to others. So if there was a 150km/h on motorways or no speed limit,i believe you will get form zurich to geneva very fast, less than 5 hours. Even if i am not speed guy usualy 😄 Hope in the future i will have the oportunity to move in CH. I find it being a very clean ,civilized,,beautiful and safe country. (and very expensive). Also i think that CH is a country for autonomous cars. With this speed limits. Especialy in cities,i will choose to have a rolls royce and a personal hot blonde woman,(like bethany samuels)to drive it for me,and me staying in back seats relaxing.
you are most definitely right on some points there. These fines are really something haha, need to be careful here. Switzerland is indeed a very beautiful country, I am enjoying her beauty every day. 120 kmh is ok, but you may not drive it on the largest parts of the highway though.. every on/exit ramp they change it to 100 kmh or less. I had many tickets because I was talking to my passenger and didn't see the limit change. I guess the people with those fast cars drive on rented airstrips, to my knowledge there are 2 or 3 airstrips that can be rented for drag races. On Miss Samuel's story, I bet she got her on driver haha.
