As a person who currently dating a Swiss, I feel so lucky and happy that we found each other. He is so sweet, caring, and funny. But yeah, at first it was a bit like talking with a stone 😆 He was really good at listening but not sharing at all 😂.
As a single man, if an attractive woman shows interest the man isnt going to be reserved in the same way a woman will be, even if he is Swiss, because most women have way more dating options than most men, he may be a bit shy or not even realise the woman is interested or flirting with him but I would say that getting a date for a man eho has just moved to Switzerland will be a lot harder that a woman teying to meet Swiss guys.
I’ve been living here for 23 years. I have a few friends and I can count them on one hand’s fingers. And they’re all foreigners. I know many colleagues who tried to live in Zurich but after a few months or years moved back to their original country because it’s boring and depressing to live here. Social life is the worst thing in Zurich. Good luck ! 😉
It's probably the biggest weakness of Swiss society. The consensus is that foreigners are merely tolerated, not welcomed (because they are needed for their specialized skills.) The expat community is rather transient and hence from a Swiss point of view, it's not worth making friends with them. For an expat, if you wish to fully integrate, you'll have to be incredibly proactive and follow the extremely long and peculiar list of Swiss customs, (which of course means speaking your canton's dialect of Swiss-German, not as bad in Romandie for obvious reasons) to the point where even the rule-loving Germans find the Swiss quite difficult to deal with at times.
0:40 they're so Swiss, you can already tell by their looks. i appreciate that what she says is exactly what you get as an first impression of them in milliseconds before hearing them talk. so honors to their honesty. I love that honesty although i can't stand closed people, so swiss people are a weird combination in that regard.

Such an interesting topic! I have been a couple of times to Zurich, as a 24-25 years old male from Romania and I noticed that girls are happy to help and very smiley but that is it…they do not give you a flitry vibe like in other places in Europe. Quite reserved I would say :?
@@claudiaandjan Haha thanks…it is just a culture mindset like you guys mentioned. At work Swiss people in general are the other way around once they got “used” to you, no matter if male/female and they are way more easy going :) But to strangers on the street it is different

The main reason for difficulties with dating here has to do with relationship with money. Money can sometimes make people scared of getting exploited in relationships.
You have great videos and I enjoy watching them. However, asking couples standing next to eachother about what dating is like in a city is a bad idea, and you won't get an honest answer. The reason is that if you are standing next to your partner, you cannot admit that dating is hard because it would send the message that you are undesirable, which of course everyone wants to avoid. The effect is stronger the less progressed a relationship is.
Definetley not in Switzerland. Everything was said, but the reality is even more descouraging. I got unlucky by living in even smaller place than zurich. I really learned the meaning of the word "lonlines". And it's not only the problem, the people (woman especially) are not willing to meet foreigners (especially from outside of the western europe that is percived as kind of "cool"), when you finally agree to meet with someone, you have to book the termin some weeks away in the future. Spontanous "hey, anyone want to go out do X or Y" simply doesn't exist among swiss people. Luckily - there are also foreigners in there. Unfortunatley, most of them is brought into switzerland by the promise of living with fasion and money, rather than just be cool and chill. So they don't care neither that much, and even if so - they are also quite demanding and setting their standards high. For me it was really hard crash coming here from cities of youth of Poland.

Still - it is percived as Ok to complain about the racism/chauvinism as a black girl, but as a white male from poorer conutry - all the disadvantages are simply invisible. Since I am here, I ve met few guys. Most of them are in a relationship or married ... I ve talked with Swiss Friends and they said "Its not illegal". But I find it so immoral. Nobody find it disrespectful?
Most swiss are less like other westerners, so we dont just talk to random people. Especially when they dont speak swissgerman. For foreigners especially it can be quite hard to talk to them and open them up
I met a girl from Switzerland while traveling in Mexico. Coming from the US women are very different. Now I honestly am so convinced that a Swiss woman is perfect for me. They are so polite, and willing to open up, feminine in a beautiful way, curious, and willing to learn. My great grandfather was from Altdorf as well. It really made me feel like I don’t belong in the West with how similar I am to the Swiss.
Willing to open up, feminine, curious and wiling to learn - literally everything swiss women are not. It's not that I hate them, I live here since many years but as a female I find them super weird. They dont take care about themselves, they are actually everything opposite than feminine and very closed. Not flexible in their lives, very cold and unpleasant.
I think calling Swiss a German culture is probably a big no-no in Zurich. Most Swiss tend to be very sensitive about any reference to German culture or language as defining them. I think similar to trying to define Frysian people as Dutch over here or Flemish people as Dutch in Belgium.
@@PhaniceKhalayi-v6jPersonal experience. Especially with older Swiss people. As soon as they think you are German they will not want to help you. I know it is a prejudice but that still runs deep. After I said I was Dutch they were all of sudden very helpful.

Hello everyone I want to meet a man from Switzerland...
Swiss women have below average looks in my opinion. In the Netherlands we have much more beautiful women.
It's true, but you have to keep in mind that many of these women are foreigners. Funny country tbh so open to foreigners yet racist. Change Netherlands, CHANGE !
Swiss man and women are beautiful White Snowy Blond

Hello thanks for your comment! Have a great week
the first two guys sound dutch
Hey there, the first 2 people were Swiss. We have asked them. Maybe it is that they have somewhat dutch relatives. Have a wonderful weekend!
As a swiss i can tell thats a 100% swiss accent
If they’re Swiss German that would make sense. Swiss German sounds like Dutch.
I am sad you didn’t talk to any black peoples 😢
I think they r seen mostly in the French speaking part

So, how they make babies if not having sex??

2. Rule: Follow the first rule
