Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing below the $100k mark and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $234,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest a huge percentage of my profit and it got more interesting.! For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home at the beginning of summer
Hi. I’ve had to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks
The professionals presently control the market since they not only have the essential business strategy but also have access to inside information that the general public is not aware of.
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every week these past months
@@LoriDowty0 However, if you do not have access to a professional like Colleen Elizabeth, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. It is important to consider all options and seek guidance from reliable sources before making any major decisions. Consulting with an AI or using automated trading systems can also be helpful in managing investments while balancing other commitments.
I'm from Hungary, I'm 21. I currently in uni and also did a full time job(changing to a part time in January, to focus more on school) My biggest priority is to pay off my student loan. Which I will this year finally. Also getting driving licence and getting my german to B2 also is an "invest in myself" plan for me. Love to travel with my girlfriend in EU. After paying off my left over loan, I'm going to invest in ETFs and small % to singular stocks(mostly from EU and USA).
Get that is so interesting 🎉 we are very happy that you are doing well! We wish you best of luck 🙌🍀 Is there any additional idea 💡 that you have where it would be interesting to make a video about?
Thank you for all of the good wishes! Well I'm a student and perhaps you already made videos about it, but if you could explain how young people move to Switzerland(or tips and tricks) would be useful. Or that how university students survive in Switzerland, where they may only have a part time job to support themselves(if that is possible). These are just my thoughts as even if someone is in University, the money has to come somewhere. Parents, job, grants or student load?
I'm impressed with your work. When I started watching the first video, I really thought I would interrupt it after a few minutes. Instead, in one day, I've already watched quite a number of them. Surprisingly, people seem to be very honest when answering your questions. I believe that, before somebody decides to invest, he needs to define what his main values are. Among my main values are health and mobility. Therefore, I spend a substantial amount of money on professionals such as gym coachs and nutritionists. One the other hand, I'd rather not invest money in real estate. I don't want to be stuck in a place I no longer like just because I own a house or and flat there. Thank you very much for your videos.
I miss your videos! how are you doing ? please come back, I'm from Brasil and your videos are so helpful to learn english and learn about Switzerland! thank you :D
Another great video from you guys! You really know how to encourage people to talk about interesting topics. With me and my husband it's the opposite, I'm the one focused on finance and investing while he doesn't really care 😆my biggest investment is in a world etf, and then I have some individual stocks that I picked, and also a bit of bitcoin and ethereum. I have real estate as well, but in Asia, not in Switzerland, too expensive! I started out my investment journey years ago with actively managed funds by my bank, but now I avoid that completely. Nowadays it's easy to do it yourself 😊
These views which are much appreciated are centered in and/or near Zürich. Why is the question of why we are almost forced to invest never asked? Why is this topic not more frequently and critically examined? We invest our precious time and energy to earn money (i.e., work). Unfortunately, the purchasing power of this money diminishes due to inflation, which we consider an inevitable part of our economic system. But why? Inflation isn't a natural phenomenon like gravity. Human curiosity drives technological progress, which is inherently deflationary. In a competitive market, prices should fall to marginal costs. Unfortunately, our current monetary system works against this principle.
Great subject and happy you convinced so many people to answer. ❤ I just bought my first real estate property in Romania, renting it out when it is finished. I have some world ETFs also. 😅
I invest in real estate, bought two apartaments in Germany and one in Bucharest Romania. Also, some money in ETFs and some stocks like Apple, Tesla, Microsoft but unfortunately I started too late.
Better yet, how much money do you need to invest to make meaningful impact?Like to take you comfortably into retirement and not worry too much about making money.Im just gonna guess based on experiences. Since most of us wont get to save up to 100k EUR in our lifetime, after paying taxes and debts. From what Ive seen its about 20-30k on average, from the time they enter the work force bewteen the age of 18 years old to 30-40 years old. Thats usually what they save on average based on a good median salary from 50k-80k eur/year. Compound that by another 30-40 years at 10% on average , they probably end up with somwhere under 100k, much less if they have kids, and depends what kina lifestyle they have, emergency they might run into. So my opinion 20-30k to start is not meaningful to be comfortable , but just enough to safeguard yourself for that rainy, unforseen circumstances. Offf course you can get lucky if your investments takes off to the moon one day, but thats a long shot in most cases. I think you would have a better chances if you can save up to like at least 100k and up by the time you reach 30, then yes you would probably end up retiring with couple hundreds k, that should just let you live comfortably, without working too much, by just sitting on it earning investments, dividends income.
Investing for a meaningful impact and financial security is indeed a thoughtful consideration. While starting with 20-30k can be a good initial step, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential challenges that may arise over the years, such as unexpected expenses, lifestyle choices, and family responsibilities. Saving more, ideally reaching at least 100k by the age of 30, provides a more robust foundation for a comfortable retirement. Although there's always a degree of uncertainty in the investment landscape, having a solid financial base can better position one for a more secure and worry-free future. It's not just about making money but also safeguarding against unforeseen circumstances and enjoying a more relaxed retirement through a well-established investment portfolio.
Nice video, business is great but it takes huge capital to excel in business, I knew I didn't have enough capital to start the type of business I wanted so I had to push myself into stock and cryptocurrency trading now I have 2 businesses that are doing well

Hello thank so much for your comment! We really appreciate that 🙌🎉We actually do not pay into the 3rd pillar and mainly use ETFs ourselves ⭐️🍀 How about you? Have a wonderful evening 💡✨
Hello from Neuchâtel ❤ it is interesting to see many people are still investing in crypto currency. I am investing mostly in myself. Healthcare here in Switzerland is expensive so i try my best to stay healthy 😂
You forgot to mention that there’s a pension besides the basic government plan where companies put even 14% of your salary and you put like 6% and it has a standard interest rate. If you already have basic retirement plus 20% every year invested why do you need to do much more? Just put aside another 5% in index funds.
I save / invest around 45 % every month from my net income. There’s also a company pension 300 Euros that gets deducted from my monthly gross pay. Most the money I save goes to retirement. I also go on vacation three times a year with the kid. In that case I use around a 1,000€ per week from my savings to do that. I consider that an investment in myself 😊. The majority I invest in ETF, I had a phase of doing gold which I will hand over to my son once he’s responsible enough. Nowadays I buy one specific annual collector’s coin per year every December - as a Christmas present for my son. I will also finish this month - the goal of having 6 months of living expenses in an emergency fund.
Investing is always a long run game. A portion ( 10-20 % ) of your earnings if invested wisely can make a lot of difference compared to just depositing money in bank accounts or spending it un meaningful. Do enjoy the life given as you only live once but also have a backup plan for unforeseen future..!

im here to ask all these guys how do they deal with Finanzamt or Steuer in DACH Region. How investment is legal? can someone ellaborate on that? Great video by the way, from a Greek neighbor living in Vienna :)
I save around %30 of my salary every month. I have a saving setup weekly to buy sp500. And I also like to dca around halving time for a year for bitcoin and ethereum. Greetings from Münster
Hi, I live in syria and I'm gonna travel to Swiss also my High-school diploma degree it's 70% and I also have a Swiss nationality so can I study in the ETH ?
Hello thanks for your comment. We are not so much in the crypto game. I am not sure why Ethereum would have a problem and Bitcoin not? Can you explain?
@@claudiaandjan One big reason is that Bitcoin is property and Ethereum is security (according to the so-called Howey test, so for example in the US Bitcoin is property according to the tax law, so it's not like a stock but like a piece of land). This means ETH is (as of today) like an _unregulated stock,_ so to me this means risky business: what if the SEC in the US simply delegalize it, like they did with that Bankman-Fried guy? OTOH Bitcoin has no single issuer, there was no pre-mining, there was no investment prospectus, there is no leader or central authority, etc. The standard distinction is that Bitcoin is its own thing, it's _not_ crypto, which is all the other digital tokens. The entire field is still so new that the terminology itself is still being hashed out. Here is an interesting bit of statistics: for the past 3 years in the US bonds went down 22%, silver down 21%, gold down 4%, NASDAQ is up 24%, S&P up 30%, Bitcoin 199%. I don't know what else to say 🙂(Except that Mahler's 5th Symphony will be playing on 1 February at 18:30 at the Tonhalle, hope to see you there! 🙂)
@@Patricker-qm8pd I responded below (same thread). One more fatal flaw of Ethereum for me is its switch to the proof-of-stake which made it vulnerable to large actors (like governments) to basically overrun it. An interesting viewpoint is on Matthew Kratter's channel: ruclips.net/video/0jT5BqMPBRE/видео.html

Hey there! 👋 Gotta hand it to you guys - the content was interesting, and that intro got a chuckle out of me. 😂 But let's talk crypto, the elephant in the room. I'm genuinely surprised at how many people dive headfirst into this crypto world. I can't shake off a bit of skepticism, though. The unpredictability of the crypto market is no secret, and it's a rollercoaster... Is it a revolution, or are we just caught up in the hype? As for the future, I'm cautiously curious. Decentralization sounds great in theory, but how practical is it? And with the crazy fluctuations, it's hard not to raise an eyebrow. We're all in this crypto boat, but is it heading for calm waters or stormy seas? Seeing so many people investing is both fascinating and a bit unnerving. It feels like we're all part of an experiment, and who knows how it'll play out. Are we witnessing the evolution of finance, or is it a bubble waiting to burst?

I also go on vacation three times a year with the kid. In that case I use around a 1,000€ per week from my savings to do that. I consider that an investment in myself 😊. The majority I invest in ETF, I had a phase of doing gold which I will hand over to my son once he’s responsible enough. Nowadays I buy one specific annual collector’s coin per year every December - as a Christmas present for my son. I will also finish this month - the goal of having 6 months of living expenses in an emergency fund.
Good question, thank you❤
Thanks so much for your sweet comment ⭐️
You guys disappeared in the winter months? Any plan to come back?
Investing is always a long run game. A portion ( 10-20 % ) of your earnings if invested wisely can make a lot of difference compared to just depositing money in bank accounts or spending it un meaningful. Do enjoy the life given as you only live once but also have a backup plan for unforeseen future..!
It is said that lots of women still are not interested in finance :(
Hello thanks for your comment 👍🙂
Hola Ana , hello Jan
Would you make a video on how to go skiing on a budget? Cheers
Love your channel
Her name is Claudia, not Ana.😊
There are many reasons why RUclipsrs suddenly stop posting videos. What I find peculiar is that there are no reasons given 😶 We here fans are left hanging in wonderment. Concern.
Looking at their separate instagram accounts, it appears they broke up.

Hello Claudia and Jan, I'm currently analyzing an offer for a position at Meta Zurich in the AR/VR department, do you maybe have any opinions about it? Would you recommend it? etc.
The thing is that nowadays, a lot of us don’t make enough to be able to save for retirement
For some it’s definitely more challenging, but understanding investing is the first step. You can say with $1!
First, you must invest in yourself (in your knowledge/training, etc.) then you can start investing money for the long term
Completely agree! 😊
I fully agree with that statement!
I am now binge-watching all your videos about Zurich, as I am coming there in July to work and looking forward to it. 🙂
Welcome to Zurich 🙌🏼
Thank you, I love it here 🙂
Interesting topic. I would like to know which platforms people are using to invest their funds and how much time they spend researching and watching the markets.

Hi, I live in syria and I'm gonna travel to Swiss also my High-school diploma degree it's 70% and I also have a Swiss nationality so can I study in the ETH ?
Bitcoin. I'd forget about Ethereum, its legal status is _very_ questionable at this point.
Hello why is that?
Success is dependent on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Show me a man who doesn't have an investment, and i will tell you how soon he will go broke. Investment is building a safe heaven for the future. With the right choice of Investment that has at least 1% minimum risk and with an expert guidance, profit and Intrest is 100% guaranteed.I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏
You're absolutely right, you've remind me of what someone once said "The mind is the man, the poor is in it and the rich is it too". This sentence is the secret of most successful investors. I once attended similar and ever since then been waxing strong financially, and i most tell you the truth..investment is the key that can secure your family future.
Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, i am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time..
@johnalex4006 yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate Investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to a great loss too
That's why the best investment is when you invest in yourself
exactly! That's my major concern and what kind of profitable business or investment can someone do with the current rise in economic downturn
My hunch is that the lady at 09:00 is Taiwanese and works in the semiconductor industry

Any new video?
Hey there! 👋 Gotta hand it to you guys - the content was interesting, and that intro got a chuckle out of me. 😂
But let's talk crypto, the elephant in the room.
Man what a comment!
Thanks a lot for your very detailed and thoughtful comment!!
