I’m South African, we once had a musician in our house from Switzerland & I’d say my love for Switzerland started there, he was the one who taught me French & I’ve been learning ever since. My girlfriend and I would love to gain citizenship there
Question for business entrepreneurs, -- he mentionned that you can register or relocate your business to switzerland and that it does not require any residency permit. on the other hand, does the fact of having a business in switzerland make you eligible to obtain a residency permit? and, what are the requirements for registering / relocating your business there?
He admits that there are limited houses available that’s why house prices are rising year on year . Switzerland is full and brining more people in to live will put even more pressure on the environment and more pollution.
what about people who pay there fair share and want a better quality of life like myself, Im in a job I make good money but im willing to learn the language and adapt to the culture? Is your country really that full? Asking from the UK. @codeblue9004 @jackiecordova7291
The country isn't small, the problem is too many people are flocking to the same locations especially immigrants because they're also looking for work and what better place to look for work than the big cities/ more populated areas?
@@wolfstorm5394yes, people always flock to the cities, but it still doesn’t change the fact that our country is very small compared to a lot of other countries. I personally don’t like the idea of more and more people turning up, that causes other problems. We now have 9 million people, which I think are enough.
If a foreigner with work permit decides to leave his employer, switch his job, or work as a freelancer of some sort, would he lose his "permit" and has to leave the country? Also, I have heard it takes 5 years for US and Canadian Citizens to get permanent residency in Switzerland, similar to EU citizens. But the lawyer in this interview did not emphasize on that exception. It makes me wonder if it is the case at all?! Cheers!
There are transferable working permits and not transferable. You can easily check it with the lawyer or with migration authority. The citizens of third countries including Canada and the US require 10 years for the permanent residency C. In some cases according to their level of integration, they can be granted permanent residence after 5 years but it is not guaranteed.
If you are very rich - with assets in the hundreds of $$millions or $$billions - the financial advantages of Swiss residence are extraordinary. Imagine having investment income (dividends and interest) of tens of millions or more and NOT PAYING TAX on it. And NO CAPITAL GAINS TAX. You are taxed at only 20%or so of the value of your living expenses (rent paid or the rental value of your home, transportation, etc). The savings to you over time would be astronomical.
Very helpful video. I live in the US and looking to move to Switzerland under a retirement visa. Could you provide more info on this type of visa. I know Switzerland taxes income on IRA proceeds, but are Social Security payments taxed? Thank you.
I always like to live in Switzerland. But I don’t have any idea how to start, Where to work, Where to live and How to become a resident. I live in Seattle, Washington, USA. Thanks for sharing your video.
Question if someone can give me a little hint. As a USA citizen can I move to live in Switzerland, basically I have my brother that live there, I would like to open a restaurant for living. Can any one give me a little info 🙏

Hello, We are living in czech republic and We would like to come and live in switzerland. I’m from Nepal with czech PR and my wife is a Swiss citizen . How can i apply for B permit as spouse VISA? We would be greatful for your reply . Thank you for your guidance 😊
Seems like people from switzerland don't want foreigners their. TBH, if my country was this good i wouldn't want people migrating to our country either. I wish i was born a swiss lol
@@Thinkkreatively Honestly, if you want to go there not as a tourist but to actually live, do yourself and the country a favor by leaving your old life/culture at the door, when people come to Switzerland they come for Swiss culture not a New York City boiling pot of everything, if you come here you must be willing to integrate, it's simple as that. If people can do that Swiss people wouldn't have a problem
Problem is housing is becoming unbareable for young adults and moving to countryside isn't possible if you work in the city. It's depressing when you try and find a place but there are too many older people with higher incomes sweeping the places from your feet. Especially with so little available apartments. Here you send a motivational letter to get an apartment and if your income is less than 3 times the rent. Well you can forget getting the apartment. So yeah it's getting hard for us, so we don't really want more expats to make it harder for us.

There are American expats on RUclips who go into those details.

What happens after the 5 years? Do you have to negotiate a new tax agreement or you are free to move to another canton without restrictions?
