  • How quick is our 10th Gen Honda Accord? Using our Dragy Performance Meter we're conducting 0-60mph tests to find out! We'll then see how they compare to our Phearable Stage 4 ECU tune! How fast is a 10th Gen Honda Accord 0-60mph now that we have out "Big" Turbo (an FK8 Hybrid Turbo - the 27WON Kuro) installed, combined with a custom ethanol tune (E85) from Innovative Motor Works, Derek Robinson? Some of our other power / performance mods include; a KTUNER V2, PRL HVI (air intake), Mishimoto Intercooler, PRL HV Downpipe (PRL Catted Downpipe), Eibach springs (lowering springs), Motor Mounts / Torque Mounts, Turbo Blanket, and more. The Kuro Turbo adds a huge increase in wheel horsepower and torque, coupled with cold temps, and sticky summer only high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in a wider 265 footprint, we find out how much quicker our 0-60 acceleration runs have improved. Is this Honda Accord build for the 10th Gen Honda Accord (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) using ethanol (E85) worth it?
    Looking for ways to gain horsepower on the (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) Honda Accord 2.0 or 1.5 turbocharged car - this video / channel will give you the information you need to help you make an informed decision regarding the best mods for your 10th gen Honda Accord 2.0 or Accord 1.5 project car!

      Every lip I’ve seen for the 10th gen Honda Accord are cosmetic and add drag rather than helping with aerodynamics. With that said, I had one, but don’t now only because my driveway is a little too steep.

    • @brysonm6864
      @brysonm6864 8 месяцев назад +1

      Almost any lip would theoretically add drag, no? They're mainly designed to channel air away from under the car which would add downforce due to higher air pressures up top and less air underneath. I understand you're going for acceleration rather than backroad/track capability but just thought I'd help you clarify.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  8 месяцев назад +1

      Car is tuned for 30% ethanol as anything higher needs more fuel. Due to the higher altitude / lower atmospheric pressure, the turbo is actually boosting ~3psi more than what it’s reading on the KTUNER.

    Try the Pirelli electric vehicle tires. I hear they were designed for the high torque output of the instant power on the Tesla. Should be able to handle the power output of the accord easily. • @Momo-hy7qj
      @Momo-hy7qj 8 месяцев назад

      I think it would still be worth a shot to prove that out, besides if anything, the cabin noise is starting to get to me, those tires supposedly have a quieter ride sound as well. Hopefully for the price I will get both, but if not at least a little more grip but more quiet time.

    Awesome to see accord videos.
    Have you tried doing some launch testing with the different options turned on or off? Like 1. VSA on, off, fully off (if there is even a thing), 2. 1st gear or 2nd gear, 3. Brake boost vs no brake boost, and lastly 2k, 2.5k & 3k rpm?
    For my current setup and conditions i found i get better consistent 1/4 draggy times when I leave VSA on, 2nd gear launch, no brake boost.

    this car cannot handle much more power beyond 300hp. also with the turbo and ethenol upgrade its almost undrivable down low or as a regular daily. it does make up for it up higher above 60mph but how often are you going to be doing hard pulls at highway speeds (legally)? you wont. if you want a fast car you buy a dedicated sports car the accord isnt it. the flex fuel and ethanol is a huge waste of money considering you get the same performance at legal speeds with just a very good custom dyno tune. not to mention ethanol will degrade your fuel pump (which already had recalls on some accords) and fuel lines.

      @TheLemonFactor based on research and watching other builds and knowing the limitations of my 10th gen what I've said is 100% truth. For legal speeds a custom tune on a dyno will have exactly the same performance numbers as someone with a turbo and flex fuel. And there's no after market fuel pumps for the 10th gen.
