Almost two years I decided one day that I needed to just quit social media. Deactivated all my accounts because I really felt something was wrong with where my life was headed. And not one second did I miss any of it. These past two years have been insanely rough, but I'm extremely proud of who I've become. Way too many distractions out there.

You know it’s better to not have any friends at all than to have friends that make you feel lonely. Can be very confusing at this stage of the path because it looks like all your peers are living their life enjoying themselves. But when you choose a higher purpose or are CHOSEN for one, you need to accept that your path is going to be different. It’s because your calling and purpose is bigger than you think. Thank you for this video Terry. I have been in isolation since last October and it seems God wants to keep drawing it and prolonging it even more for me. God calls us to isolation to go through these levels and get higher and higher, and since October, I keep going higher and higher. Physically, financially, and spiritually. There has been a lot of tears, it hasn’t been easy, but i’m not giving up, overcoming, and getting stronger 💯 The lack of people around is a sacrifice for your greater good. But like you said, i’d rather be alone with my own real company than be around fakes who aren’t good for me.

I appreciate what you said concerning "using people". I try as much as possible to minimize this tendency. But there are grey areas. For example, a colleague at work may help with a task and I may help him, but since we have little in common, we don't see each other outside the workplace; no real friendship emerges. Because he helped me with a task, does that mean I'll call him 1 year later and see how he's doing? Probably not. Nor do hope he''ll do the same for me. Sometimes it very much has to do with the similarities people share.
