I'm not a fan of redstone, I usually use it for very simple things because anything higher than a door with pistons, even watching video tutorials, comes out malfunctioning. I really admire people like you who can do these monstrous things. Congrats.

i built this in my world ( java 1.21 ) it kinda works and is epic to watch for sure, but it has several big issues, first it drops pistons all over the place in the middle of a pass (probably when snow lands on the unprotected upwards facing observers in the front. Then one of the 5 lanes i built grows ice 10 times faster then the other 4 lanes (has to be more blocks / water sources adjacent) (attempted to fix this with armor stand ice boot flying machines from ilmango, which leads to the next problem because of the long trips with water on short ends half the time it does a pass and ice forms before the water fills back in causing the farm to sit there with flowing water and air on the top layer unable to even form ice. what ends up happening is front row is 10 blocks deep ice while lanes in the back have 3-4 blocks only you cant even reach from the floor .
well I suppose this farm should work in java but I did build it for bedrock, in bedrock pistons dont spit their blocks out which is probably why ur experiencing issues with this farm
Lol right on bro, thanks for tuning in, I have 1 more design that will be an infinite ice farm, but I gotta figure out mending for your pick, so thats the current issue, trying to incorporate mob farms for xp
@@brokenbones623 perhaps over a guardian farm monument with xp water columns. As the player mines ice xp is continually collected on the platform (glass pane water log top block). And guardian drops collected by hopper carts under ocean/guardian
If u can find a guardian temple in an ice biome that is... Not likely to find one as I've never found one, but you have the right idea. I think were gonna have to rely on standard mob farms and build 3 or 4 so as u go around the farm, one mob farm is unloading while the other is loading due to the mob spawning radius around a player, or a 2 man farm, so the mob farms always loaded, or an ice farm that pushes the ice to u, we'll figure it out
You know to improve the time ice is formed it needs a block in the middle to create ice. So a few moments after the main flying machine passes by launch a small set with armor stands with frost walker boots. This will cause the situation to have a block that will become ice faster.
I always suggest building things in creative 1st for this reason. Try building it in creative, its much faster and easier, and you'll find out where u went wrong

This is mega! Do you guys know how to do a similar thing for clearing some ocean? 1 sweeper being pushed down as it reaches 1 side and the other? Soul lanterns, torches, campfires don't melt ice.
they do in java edition. torches, glowstone/sea lanterns, any light source block will prevent ice from forming in java edition. in bedrock idrk as i dont play bedrock much
@@brokenbones623 most flying machine based ice farms (to my knowledge) is pretty much the same that you showed early on in the video. there are non flying machine based ice farms that can be used (namely the one designed by gnembon). i do not know if those will work in bedrock. i imagine some of them will work
It was a challenge from a fan, and having tons of Ice allows u to craft packed ice and even blue ice. All ice has uses. I use ice for water cus water buckets don't stack and ice does. We use packed ice for fast boat transportation in our netherhub. Blue ice you can do the same with just more expensive, not to mention that many farms use packed ice for item water streams, and basalt generators. There's so many uses, how could u not need that much ice lol

In bedrock tho, Ice forms even in the middle of the water, that is a java edition mechanic
I do notice that it does form faster on the sides tho
The rules for ice is that it needs to be formed next to a block.
Right on, maybe that is an old mechanic thats no longer, makes sense
@@brokenbones623 yeah it has been a few years.

Nice one.... can you do an auto wheat farm pls.
Ty for the suggestion I will put it on the list

Absolutely man
does this need to be in a specific biome? would Ice spikes work?
any ice biome
in java edition you can use half slabs or stairs to water log
Right
This is amazing
