- Опубликовано: 27 янв 2022
- In this video I depart from the Meet Up location at Scaddan Wash in Quartzsite, Arizona. I head to Yuma, AZ to resupply and then head towards Tuscon, AZ. I find a nice camp in the Ironwood Forest National Monument area. I get a haircut at camp and explore around my camp. Then I grill up dinner and enjoy a nice campfire.
Thank You For Being Here.
*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. Join me on my adventures.
Thanks for watching!

Some of the things I love about Brian: he drives slow, he cooks, he is humble, very talented and creative but most of all he’s real. Oh, and did I mention he shaves his head with a dog trimmer.
I've been cutting my hair with dog trimmers for 6yrs. On my 2nd set. Used to fade now I buzz it all. I understand Brian completely.
Thank you for not listing all of my faults...it would be a long paragraph! 🤣👍🏼✌🏼
@@AdventureVanMan You are also laid back and humble. My kinda guy 👍 Really enjoy your video's. Keep on truckin!
I think we have this in common: being with good people is great, but it makes the solitude afterward that much sweeter.
When do you know you're a true nomad? When you can anticipate, almost exactly, where your fellow Nomad is headed as you watch his video. How fun is that? Love the IN THE KITCHEN WITH BRIAN segments!! 🤗
What sets Brian's RUclips channel apart from most channels is the fact that he is honest, real, and genuine. Where as a lot of channels portray one thing and end up being totally the opposite, it's all a "GRAND ILLUSION" .....
Sorry but I have to ask how many RUclips creators have you actually met to make this statement?
@@stratos175escape7 Just watch their videos, after awhile you can see discrepancies that shed a light on the false narrative. It's reality tv and it's purely for entertainment.
@@stratos175escape7 I worked for RUclips for 8 years and part of my job was to make sure the videos passed all the criteria when it came to content ID so the channels wouldn't get penalized with a copyright strike so I have watched 1000's of videos, I'm no expert but I'm able to easily see the difference between truth and dishonesty, and that's why I enjoy the music channels more, especially 17 year old Lucy Thomas Music, she is amazing, especially the video she dropped yesterday, she's performing Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings" and omg, it's phenomenal.......
Sc1212able as you say “a lot of channels” not all. I wonder what impact that would have had in the sad case of Gabby Petito R.I.P.
I think I know what you're saying. I go back and forth between wanting to edit my videos "more professionally" to just putting them together chronologically.
Hey, White teardrop trailer here (Robert)
It's fun hanging around other people But it's always nice getting off on your own and enjoying the peace and tranquility.
That sure was a fun Meetup. Some awesome people everyone I talk to was so down to earth and friendly kind of restores your faith in humanity in these crazy times we're living in.
Enjoy
What a pleasant surprise to come home from a long work day on a Friday and settle in and watch Brian share his meet up round-up and travel onto a serene and picturesque desert campsite where he can enjoy solitude and relaxation. We love your peaceful and positive energy and thank you for touching the lives of so many.
Brian, you seem to have a very peaceful soul. I feel so calm just watching you go about your day. I know you have the peace of the Lord Living within you. God bless you my brother. Louise
Another great van life video Brian. Always a pleasure watching these.
Hi Wiley, I also enjoy your videos, especially your deer !
I hope to catch you on the road again somewhere, sometime down the road, Happy trails !
Looks like it was a great meet up with terrific people. Hope everyone had a good time. Safe travels.
Outstanding meet up Brian you've made a lot of people happy, but it's draining. So time out take it easy.❤️🙏
Back on the road after all those people. In a way it's a relief I'm sure. I don't do too well around a lot of people for a long period of time. It's okay for a short time. Thanks for the video and God Bless Bee--Ryan.
What an awesome lifestyle you have.
I just snorted coffee, I was so surprised at seeing you mimic the cactus and started laughing. It's moments like that that make Brian my favorite van lifer. 😁✌️ (Edit: I had to go back and add that this was one of the best videos I have seen, what a great vibe and just overall really satisfying to see your whole day. Man, you are living the life. 💖
Awesome shots and cool vibes. The adventure continues.
Man Brian, I know I said this before but.......Im LOVING this type of content bro!
I love watching your videos ! Where’s Kelly I miss seeing her with you! I love to watch you cook that dinner looked yummy! We’ll have safe travels and I hope to see Kelly next time❤️
I like how well organized and efficient you are, right down to hygiene.
A few days of quiet was just the right thing after all of the "peopling". Wonderful as they may be, it's nice to take a break. You chose a great spot too.
Thank you Brian for sharing yourself at the meetup! I re-met people i hadn't seen in over two years along with comradery of new friends and dogs! I had been on a three week vacation from Solana Beach in San Diego after my Husband passed. Driving over the mountains into SD at night reveils massive lit concrete cities, I'm quiting my job in two weeks to do a turnaround in my Toy Dolfin back to Nomad life!!
My condolences. Best wishes to you! 👍🏼✌🏼
Was great to meet you Brian! Looking forward to videos of your travels.
Great video Brian! I grew up in Coolidge, about 20 miles north of Picacho Peak State Park. Back in the 70's I was headed back to the UofA where I was a student after a weekend visiting my parents. As I passed Picacho Peak area I could see a lot of dust in the air. When I looked a little closer I saw riders on horse back, some in Confederate uniforms & others in Union uniforms. They were having a re-enactment of The Battle of Picacho Pass, also known as the Battle of Picacho Peak that occurred on April 15, 1862. It is supposedly the most westerly fought battle during the Civil War. It took me by surprise for a minute, especially passing it at about 75 miles an hour!
Liked seeing your van setup inside with the two counters and spice rack. I especially liked the wood stain. I like how you blend beautiful nature scenes such as the saguaro into your videos along with your cooking scenes. Your homemade wooden fork is so cool . I love the desert.
Bless you for stepping out of your comfort zone to give some of yourself to others. It's always rewarding in the end. So glad you had such a nice turnout. I would have loved to been there to meet you.
I've never been to the desert southwest so I appreciate your close up of the cactus and other plants.
What a perfect day in the desert! Thanks for the video Brian.
Good morning from Godley Texas, glad to see the meet up was a success. It's definitely on my bucket list. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
Hey Brian, your camp is a few hundred yards from where I spent a couple of weeks in December. It's a very peaceful spot, and I definitely enjoyed it there. If you continue down to the southeast towards Tombstone and Bisbee there is a fabulous boondocking area right at the base of the Dragoon Mountains. Also, I highly suggest a stop at Whitewater Draw which is about 30 minutes from Tombstone. All the Best, Dan
Always a treat watching your videos! A perfect blend of beautiful nature, easy travel, delicious looking food & the real YOU! 😃 My memories of the meetup will last my lifetime! I plan to attend the next one...and am looking forward to it already! Thanks for putting yourself & your GREAT videos out there!! "Follow Your Dreams!!!" 🙏
Use a Cake pan upside Down with a wood knob to lift it Off,Cheap,Easy!!!!!!
Rich Brandt and I really enjoyed our time at the meetup. Met a lot of nice folks. Thanks for hosting. And that mushroom gravy looked so good! 😋
That warm desert looks great. Those of us in colder climes watch this video wistfully.
Glad to see you made it to our Sonoran Desert and you’re enjoying it👍❤️
Thank you for sharing your adventures! At the time 19:14 above the sunset cactus it looks like a serpent in the sky. It even has the forked tongue. 😲
Glad to see you're back enjoy your campsite and stay warm safe journey and can't wait for your next video
You too can become a saguaro cactus. 🌵🌞Cuteness. Love your little home so much - so cozy and efficient.
Wow this was a good one. Setting up the fire pit, cutting the wood and setting the fire, transitioned into the sunset view with the cactus and the mountain - had my jaw on the floor. Never stop being you man, I will keep watching.
Nice shave and a cut, Brian! Safe travels and thanx again for another relaxing vid.✌️back at you!
Miss the gorgeous hair. And, hair balances out a person.
Like minded people tend to congregate. Brian’s followers are probably more ambiverts and introverts. I really enjoy Brian and Kelly’s low key energy and temperament coming thru the videos.
GOOD MORNING MIJITO 👋
JUST TO SAY THANK FOR THE JOURNEY 💝
SAFE TRAVEL'S EVERYONE, ONWARD BOUND ✌
oh Brian that spot you picked is gorgeous. I envy. I live in central Pennsylvania and we are currently having snow and it is like 22 degrees. enjoy it buddy you deserve it. please take care and be safe.
I'm really liking the boxvan. It's great to be able to stand up inside.
I liked it so much. I got one. Saved a bunch of money living I one for a year. It was essentially like living in my studio in boulder, Colorado . No one knew I was inside . It was hilarious. I would park close to events and listen to the people chatter. And then drive into the mountains only 5 minutes away. Pretty awesome experience. Especially being able to stand up . Standing up changed the game.
Hey Brian..it was a very fun meet up. Always good to see and camp with you..met a bunch of new people ! Love watching you cook..even tho I cook a fair amount I get new ideas watching you 👍😁 Take care and we'll see you down the road my friend ✌️
I really got a kick out of the haircut, I try to recruit someone to help me. One thing about a burr haircut... you really can't screw it up! Great video as always!
I liked the part where you were standing behind the cactus with your arms out LOL. Dinner looked delicious!
Great video as always Brian ,thank you for bring us along my friend ,big hugs from MN
A lot of the RV RUclipsrs I watch are in AZ now, I am loving that so many of you come to my/our beautiful State. I am a 73 year old RVer and have lived in AZ full time for 27 awesome years. I love seeing all of you enjoying AZ. I am glad your meet up was such a success.
Thank you for sharing the Beautiful scenery of Arizona ! Dinner look delicious as always ..Safe travels
Looks like u had a good time. I watched several videos from the people who camped with u. They really love u. It was sweet of u to host the meet up.
Hope Kelly is doing well.
I like ur camp chair. Do u remember the name of it and where u got it?
Thanks for the update Brian. Great location you found, all the green and much older Saguaro cactus' Enjoy the solitude. I would be the same way. I plan on being out next year if you do another event. I start my travels around June up in Canada near NY
Your camp dinner puts my full-kitchen cooking to shame! A beautiful video.
Brian, I am 63 years old, my dad moved us to the Arizona desert in 1969, at first I thought it was hell on earth! Not anymore, this state is so beautiful, the scenery is so diverse! Have you ever explored Rutger lake area in south eastern AZ? Give it a thought if not!
Glad your Meet up was a great success love your camp so peaceful ❤️ I'm drooling from the meal you made 🤣🌵✌️ Hi Kelly
👍👍✌️relaxing
That pop up fire pit is slicker than snot on a doorknob!👍🏻
Always enjoy these day in the life of Brian. That looks like the same area that rolling earthship just left.😀✌
Brian, thank you for making such relaxing and real content. When we go out, we camp like you do. We can just sit in any ol area and be content with all of natures beauty. I found your videos a few years back searching for Chevy G20 stuff. Been watching ever since. You know, I've always said I would never want to go to a meet up, we go out in our van to escape. But after seeing your meet up, it may be on our radar in the future. Thanks again, Scott ✌️
That cactus is huge!
Great video 👍🏽
My wife and I lived in Marana, AZ, Dove Mountain area, for about 2.5 years. You’re pretty close to there.
Thank you for having us along.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful peace ✌️.
Excellent, all around relaxing video. Oh and the 🏜️ is calling me and I must go. Thank you for all that you show us. Beautiful scenery and delicious grubins. Till next time...
I used to watch you a year or so earlier, then I lost you! Now that I found you last month, I promise not to misplace you again! I thoroughly enjoy you cinematography. Your views are absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so very much for sharing your time with us. It is greatly appreciated.

I really like your new camper, I think it's perfect for you !!
Another great video! Thanks for standing near the cactus. They are really tall. Stay safe and be blessed!
SAFE TRAVELS, LOOKS LIKE A FANTASTIC SPOT. VERY GREEN, AND NICE MOUNTAIN VIEWS. THOSE CACTUS ARE MASSIVE... RAD!!
Brian, so glad your meet-up was so successful. I really enjoy videos of your average day in life. I appreciate the cooking portion as well, it gives me simple but tasty ideas. I was wondering how wide your bed is and is it comfortable? Thank you so much for all you do to entertain your subscribers. Stay safe and take care.
Thanks, bed is 28” wide
@@AdventureVanMan Thanks Brian for your quick response.
Hey Brian, you were at my favorite Walmart in the foothills in Yuma. If I ever see you there I'll make sure I say hi.
Place mushroom first, then 2 min later add the onions, a min later the garlic. Use olive oil & butter.

Talk about living the slow life 👌🙌
drove the i10 back and forth between Phoenix and Tucson many times when I went to UofA. I miss it.
Another great video Brian. Loved you goofing around the cactus. Stay safe.
A beautiful landscape, and no other people!😁
Love the peaceful views and your music choices
Thanks for the haircut tutorial ~ that was great 👍
Thank you for sharing your adventures. It's inspiring thank you
I like how the mushrooms magically pop up on you cutting board.
Yeah, totally know what you mean Brian. I classify myself as a social introvert; love people, but at my prime with lots of alone time. I'm sure I'll see ya in couple more years. Kids are almost completely out of the nest, so almost time to hit the road again:)
I have PTSD and your adventures and photography is better than any treatment 😎
It was so nice to meet you, hopefully our paths will cross again. Looks nice and peaceful there and the fire looks peaceful too. Keep up your videos, I really enjoy them. See ya, Stella
Thank you. Hope to see you again down the road. ✌🏼
Thanks for letting me tag along it was cool 😎 🙂 👍
I love watching this channel and others like it. Gets me hyped for when I take a week or 2 off work, jump in my truck and head out west. Spent the week after Christmas is Northern Arizona near Page. Weather sucked that week but it was still pretty dang awesome!
Blue Bell the best ice cream in the country. Brian you picked the best to eat. Great video, have a great week. God Bless.
Beautiful AZ day/night! Hope to meet you at next years event. Building up my minivan when I get it out of the shop this summer. Blessings 😊✌🏼😎👍🏼
Hi from Canada West Coast. So great to see your life in Arizona in January. Love the saguaro and blue sky and I like the places you choose to camp.
Enjoy your rejuvenating time. I enjoy watching it. That meal looked wonderful.
I have read so many excellent reviews about this meet up. Some made new friends and had a blast.
The sunset with the saguaro was beautiful!
Your cooking always makes me SOoooo hungry. Just ate supper and watching your video and I'm hungry again and craving what you made. Lol
