- In this video I leave my camp at Oliver Reservoir in Bushnell, Nebraska. The free campground I was staying at for the last 9 days was already closed for the season. A local Sheriff stopped by to let me know to move on when I could. I make my way into Colorado. I find a quick place to overnight on the east side in The Rockies. Then I move over to Cucharas Canyon at the Kenner Ranch BLM area near Walsenburg, Colorado. This was a great place to camp and get some solitude and time with the land. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for being here!
*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. What a difference between your Nebraska campsite and the Cucharas Canyon one. I love pinyon/juniper forest - it reminds me of the Bishop area on 395. Incredible sunset time-lapse. Season's greetings to you and your loved ones.

You flew clear through Colorado so quickly without showing the Denver area to my dismay. You were just exiting onto I-25 South from Wyoming, then I saw the Fort Collins road sign but suddenly you mentioned Walsenburg. Luv the remote campsite you ventured toward. If not for those deep ruts I’d imagine getting my Class A back yonder for fourteen days of frontier living but then again it does appear doable prior to the ruts. Thanks for sharing this point of interest for a future freebie hideaway, peace and solitude. 🚌

I am sitting in my living room looking out my picture window to the south. Sunrise is blocked by others around me, sunset is blocked around me. And here you are with a 360 view with all you need. My van sits in my driveway haunting me.
I missed sunsets and sunrises when I was back East. So many trees you never get to see the sky!🤣

My wife and I live in our RV and we spent about 5 years just knocking around the Ft Collins/Loveland/Greeley area. LOTS of cool places up there, I love it when a video covers a place I'm familiar with.
