Finally somebody took her time and gave us a comprehensive review into Quartzsite . Now we have a better understanding what that place look like . Great job you guys .
The problem with Quartzite is that there's nothing to do after the first week. We thought about wintering somewhere but we need things to keep us busy and interested, so we're just going to keep moving around every couple of weeks. Thanks for your perspective!
Thank you very much! We are so glad you enjoyed the video! It is a subject we are passionate about, and we wanted to give it the proper credit it deserves. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for all your efforts showing the ins and outs of staying in Quartzite. I got so much out of your video and enjoyed all of your commentary. So useful! This was my first time to your channel, and now I’m very much looking forward to spending time with your other videos. Please keep doing what you’re doing. And, safe travels! 👍💕
We have lived in Quartzsite for the winter months for the last 15 years. Its so great to hear positive information, we love it here. There is negative aspects to wherever you live. Thanks for the great video
Thanks for this . You mention "another RV couple" and their review. Unlike their fake hit pieces on Q. It's great to see, you get Q. It's a place that reflects and amplifies the attitude you bring there. Safe travels.
Very well said! That's absolutely right! After all, if Quartzsite wasn't an awesome place, then why would so many folks go there for the winter? Thanks so much for watching! Safe travels to you too!
This is the absolute best review of Quartzsite that I have ever watched!! You both should work for the Quartzsite Visitors Bureau, I would jump at the chance to tour Quartzsite through your eyes!! I have saved this video for future reference, because there are some things I have never heard of, and plan to visit, next time I am in town. Thank you so much for such a positive and thorough review!
Wow! Thank you very much for the wonderful compliment! We greatly appreciate your kind words! We hope you are able to get back to Q to check out some more of the attractions! Thanks so much for watching!
Yes, there are a bunch of great groups that people can join! There is a metal detector club that is very popular too! Yes, you must return! LOL. Thanks so much for watching!
Utah Jeff….here….. your video was outstanding! I think a person must be in love with camping first to really enjoy a long term camping experience like this. It is not something everyone can do. My sister went to Quartsite once and vowed never to return. I reminded her it is a desert and you are a guest there.
I’m headed to Quartzsite this winter. Thank you for this lovely informative video. I lived in Tucson fir years and I’ve been to Q, but just passing through. I can never understand how people dismiss the desert as ‘just dirt and rocks’. Yes but so much more. Hope to see you there.
Thank you for sharing, this season will be the second for me. I will go again at LaPosa North. I joined the Quartzsite metal detectors club last time and can't wait to try some gold prospecting. I really enjoyed the first time and can't wait for more.
Awesome info-tainment!! I am in the process of downsizing from 4B/2ba 2,000sqft home to RV and Tiny home adventure! You are helping me, so THANK You! Hugs and Blessings.
we have been going to quartzside for the last 5 years and love it. we stay 2 to 3 months of nov dec jan. we take our sxs, metal dector, guns and play at golf at the golf course. we also visit the v f w in quartzside also.
Incredible video, very comprehensive! You highlight Quartzsite in a way many are unaware of...and should watch. Love this, learned a lot! GREAT ENDING Ed!
We stayed in the Tyson Wash area across the road from La Posa South and loved it! We did get our fresh water and dumped our tanks in town at the Pit Stop but our total cost for 2 full weeks was $63. The night sky, the space and just the quiet will keep us coming back next year! Thank you for such a great video!
This will be our first year going to courtside and I just want to say that your video has us looking forward to going there and it was the most informative and positive info on a video that we have seen so far thank you
Nice place! Many people some rif-raf around, watch your stuff. Also the RV community of Brenda about 15 miles east off hwy. 60 nice place also no tent camping RV only rates are vey reasonable we stayed for two years and rate was $125. a month
We drove thru Brenda, and can see that it is a popular RV spot. Yes, Quartzsite is winter home to some folks who are down on their luck, but we have never had any trouble. Thanks for watching!
@@paulairola7041 In the summer, we go all over. Last year we went to Montana. This summer we are on the east coast. Summer is travel and explore time! LOL.
I'm a South Carolinian. I'll be driving out there after Thanksgiving. I've been doing some research to find out more about Quartzsite. Last year I retired from trucking and I'm now a vandweller.
I stayed off Plomosa Road for just three days and loved it. The sunsets alone were worth it. But love hearing more things to check out next time. Thanks.
Awesome! So glad the video was helpful to you! And that's wonderful that you are going to give Quartzsite a try! Thanks so much for watching! And we hope you enjoy your winter in Q!
Great video! This is the most informative video on Quartzite we have seen from any RVer. Thank you for sharing. BTW, we like your other videos too, you've been to places that are off the beaten path. I keep on wondering how did you learn about them. Hopefully in a couple of years we can go to some of those places, too. Keep those videos coming :) We enjoy them.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment! We wanted to put more about Quartzsite out there, because we felt alot of others video were just lacking. About off the beaten path places, well, that's too hard to explain here. But now that you've brought it up, I think we will do a video on that, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi there, this is my first time seeing one of your videos. I really loved it and appreciate all the great info about Quartzsite. Great compass rose also. Maybe I’ll visit in my RV. Happy trails🌞🦋❤️
Thanks for the good info. Love your compass rose. I am a sailor and it is similar to the sea. People would ask how we could stand being at sea for weeks to months at a time. Same as desert. Open your eyes and look. There is lots to see!!
I’m an old former sailor too. People would ask me how I could stand being out of the sight of land. I loved it. The sky on a clear night had so many stars it looked like it had chicken pox. I was fortunate enough to be crossing the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Texas when the Hale Bop Comet was visiting. That was truly remarkable. The desert has its own beauty. Just have to appreciate it for what it is.
Thank You 👍I appreciate the time you spent doing this awesome informative video. 👏 I wondered what the draw to Quartzsite was. Now I hope to visit & experience a winter there . This is an enjoyable visual trip ❣
Thank you so much for all of the info. This is one of the best “tour guide” videos I have seen. I am headed to Quartzite right after the holidays and can’t wait! Your video helped a lot!
Hi Ed! Thanks so much for your help at the RV pit stop! So glad you gave me your RUclips info.. what a wonderfully informative video! I can really feel both you & your wife’s passion for a place that I also have fallen in love with over the years. I still have so much to explore, always excited for each January in quartzsite! Blessings in the new year, hope you have a great season in Q ‘22!!! 🌵🌈💗✨ sincerely, Emily, a San Diego rockhound 🙂
Hi Emily! I am so sorry it has taken this long to get back to you! I've been very busy at the Pitstop. It was very nice meeting you, and I'm so glad I was able to help you out. Thank you for your kind words about the video.
Thank you for taking the time. I enjoyed your content. I'll be adopting a nomad lifestyle in 2026, and for a variety of reasons, I'll be using a large Luna bell tent to live in. Properly set up, these canvas tents can handle up to fifty miles an hour winds. Did you see many large tents? I'm looking for people who post footage of areas deeper in the parks as I'll be particular about location. Some may find that boring to watch, but it's fascinating to me.
Your tent looks very interesting! I don't think I've ever seen one of those here. There is 11,000 acres of BLM land here. Makes it difficult to video all of it. But I'm sure you will find a suitable place to camp.
I camped there at La Posa south. There are in my opinion three rules for a enjoyable 6 month camping there. 1. Have solar power. 2. Have heat.3. don't put your awning up unless you don't mine taking it down frequently. With that said, Everything else is what it is. If you need more stores ,then a short 20 mile ride takes you to Walmart and more. A busy interstate runs through Quartzsite 24-7 so there is noise. Last but not least, Who drinks potable water? Nobody smart. Dishes, shower only. BUY YOUR DRINKING WATER.
Well, I guess we aren't smart, since we drink the potable water. That's what "potable" means, safe for drinking. Other than that, agree with your comments. Same as any other boondocking spot.
My first time to the desert my nose was sooo dry. It hurt so bad. Anyone else have this problem? The sunsets at Quartzsite were beautiful. Just got back yesterday. Loved the peacefulness.
Yes, the dry air has that effect on some people. You might try boiling some water on the stove to raise the humidity level. But be careful with that, because RVs don't like high humidity. Peacfulness and beautiful sunsets...you got that right! So glad you enjoyed your time there! Thanks for watching!
For me , not just Quartzsite, but all areas out west with little humidity. This may sound gross, but each morning and sometimes during the day and before bedtime , I blow my nose, then using Q-Tips, apply a little Vick’s Vaporub or Mentholatum to the inside of each nostril. When it is really dry, I still get a bit of nose bleed, but doing this adds to the comfort.
You guys really did a good job of making that area look interesting. I have been trying to decide about coming out in January. But I just got back home which is Hawaii after a month in October in northern Nevada and it was so bloody cold that I don’t know if I want to go back and get cold again. LOL. I am like a turtle basking in the warmth on the beach. While I was up in northern Nevada it snowed the nights were 28° and the days were maybe 40s or 50s. Miserable. So I’m gonna wait until December to make up my mind. I Have thought about maybe just renting a hotel room and go to the RV show just to get a taste of what’s it is like. Aloha
I can't blame you for not wanting to go into the cold again. We are the same way. It is slightly warmer in Quartzsite in the winter than what you experienced in Nevada, but not alot. LOL. We hope you get a chance to check it out! Thanks for watching!
It's July 2022... and I moved to AZ from Maui. After traveling in AZ for a few mos., I made my way to Paradise RV Park in Quartzsite. I LOVE IT! I'm in my 70's and it is a great place to retire and live quietly. Take care... ALOHA
I got to Quartzsite 3 weeks ago. I'm here for the remainder of winter. It's my first trip here. I'm staying in the extended stay BLM campground just south of town. I like the trash drop off. I paid $180 for the remainder of the winter. I've seen 2 humming birds. I haven't seen any coyotes. For mail forwarding I'm using BCM. It's $39.95 for three months. I changed my mailing address for Amazon to this place.
I have seen a lot of videos about Quartzsite.. but this video has to be the most inviting one yet ! Thanks so much for sharing from your heart this beautiful place. Maybe I will catch up with you in the desert and thank you personally .
My mom and dad full timed and visited quartzite in the winter…my mom hated it my dad loved it … LOL! 😆 now that I’m retired and bought my glamour camper, I’m almost ready to travel…looking forward to traveling here soon. Thank you so much for the video and information.
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, Quartzsite isn't for everyone. Hoping you are able to check it out, and that you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!
Really enjoyed this video. So informative. I'm going to have to go there in my RV. Thanks for sharing. I am now a new subscriber to your channel. Looking forward to future videos.
As everyone has mentioned, this is the best video about Q I have seen!!! We travelled AZ and ohhh those cacti! Would love to get back there, and experience the winter in Q. And those road runners...♥️ watching from Vancouver Island BC🇨🇦🙋♀️😍‼️
This is the best video for Quartzite we have watched. Is there a Honey Bucket service there? Is there portable water filling service? We have a huge rig. 43 foot toy hauler pulled with a Freightliner. We don’t hook up and move to empty tanks unless we absolutely need to.
Yes, there is a honey wagon service there. We have seen it. But not sure about a water service. The long term visitor areas have an approved vendor list at the gatehouse. Just ask for a copy, or take a picture of that when you get there. It will have the info you need. Thanks so much for the question!
Thanks for the really comprehensive look at Q. YEA for libraries! Not sure if we'll go next year yet, but we appreciate the honest in-depth look at the area. I see the appeal. Be well!
Thank you! Your outlook is positive while remaining realistic. This is so helpful and informative. I really needed this video, as I have been seriously considering Quartzsite for a first time long-term visit. Your video convinced me I want to go. Wonderful video 👏🏻
I really loved this video about Quartzsite! I visited there in 2017. Missed the RTR but caught the big tent show. I was not towing so I rented a car in Blythe Ca and spent a week touring the town, visiting Parker and Lake Havasu as well. I did not get out in the desert on the BLM land. My dream is to spend the winter at the LTVA and explore the desert areas. If I am still able, I will go next winter, with some friends. Just subbed and hit the like button
Finally somebody took her time and gave us a comprehensive review into Quartzsite . Now we have a better understanding what that place look like . Great job you guys .
Thank you! So glad you found the video helpful!
The problem with Quartzite is that there's nothing to do after the first week. We thought about wintering somewhere but we need things to keep us busy and interested, so we're just going to keep moving around every couple of weeks. Thanks for your perspective!
Everybody is different. Thanks for your comment!
This has to be the most informative video on Quartzsite that I have seen. Thank you for doing a thorough job! 😁✌
Thank you very much! We are so glad you enjoyed the video! It is a subject we are passionate about, and we wanted to give it the proper credit it deserves. Thanks so much for watching!
.... Meeting this great couple alone would be worth the trip to Quartzite!
Oh wow! Thank you very much for that wonderful compliment! So glad you enjoyed the video!
You gave the clearest and most concise explanation of the area for an RVer. It's like I had a personal tour. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your kind words!
Thank you for all your efforts showing the ins and outs of staying in Quartzite. I got so much out of your video and enjoyed all of your commentary. So useful! Thank you so much for your kind words!
I live in Quartzsite and I find the people to be extremely amiable, pleasant and happy.
Awesome! Thanks so much for your comment! We agree! Thanks for watching!

Yes, there are a bunch of great groups that people can join! There is a metal detector club that is very popular too! Yes, you must return! LOL. Thanks so much for watching!
I see you like the Conservative Twins and Dr. Ken Berry two of my favorites! Dr. Berry saved my life!

Yes, we can agree with you on that. We love Quartzsite! So glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Great show. I grew up in Tempe, AZ and I remember in the heat of summer, my rockhound dad taking us there to buy and trade rocks and minerals.

Excellent video on Quartzsite. What a great reference tool. Bookmarking this one!
Wow! Thanks so much! So glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for watching!
ALOHA
Very well done video and interesting, if I get out west again I will definately visit Quartzsite
Thank you for the compliment! Yes, please visit Quartzsite! Thanks so much for watching!
Very informative, thank you!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed the video!!

4th year here at 88 shades RV park. Love it! I work at BK in the winter season. A town full of great folks.
Yes, wonderful folks! So glad you enjoy Quartzsite! Thanks so much for watching!
Be well!
So glad you enjoyed the video! Safe travels to you!

Hey Steven, have you and Melinda ever camped in Quartzsite? Was wondering how a mini camper would fit in since we are not “self contained”

What a great and really informative video!:-)
I really loved this video about Quartzsite! I visited there in 2017. Missed the RTR but caught the big tent show. I was not towing so I rented a car in Blythe Ca and spent a week touring the town, visiting Parker and Lake Havasu as well.
I did not get out in the desert on the BLM land.
My dream is to spend the winter at the LTVA and explore the desert areas.
If I am still able, I will go next winter, with some friends.
Just subbed and hit the like button
Awesome! Thanks so much for tagging along with us! We hope you are able to visit Q again soon!
