I loved your tutorial its helped me loads. I'm going to do my very first commissioned cake for a friend, and I love the quilted effect. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the reminder!
Very well precented a simple technique I shall practice when I can get one
Thanks for this - a quilting 'tool' is my evolving shopping list!
Helen Prout Give it a go Helen, for years I used the angle on a piping bag and drawer on my own individually, it took forever and was no where near as flawless. They are a great little piece of equipment x
just watched the whole tutorial - I appreciate you were using dummies but on real cakes do you only dowel the bottom cake, not the second one before you put the third one on? Really great tip about the ribbon as well ....I always struggle with sticking the end bit down but will damp them in future!
Helen Prout No I do well every tier , I just wanted to show people where the dowells need to be in the circle. So for the last tier place the dowells in the same shape, you won't need as many and it will support the top tier. Sorry for the confusion x
You make all your tutorials so easy to follow and I always feel I can acheive results as good as yours! Thank you x
Elaine Moore Thank you for such kind feedback Elaine , it really does mean alot , these tutorials only last minutes when they are watched but in reality take days with the filming then editing that's involved so it means alot to have lovely people like yourself leaving feedback and it just makes me want to make more, so thank you again and have a lovely evening , Rachel
Bless you!! You made it look so easy and so do-able!!
You can do it!
Magic thankyou
Glad you found the content useful and thankyou for taking the time to leave feedback it means an awful lot
This is stunning! I’ve got a quilted 50th wedding anniversary cake to make next week & this has helped me so much!
I just wondered if you had a template of how much fondant to use for all different sizes of cakes - square & round - I just find I need more practice with knowing how much fondant to use for a 8/10/12 inch (different depths) Xx
You make this look so easy. I’m inspired to try now😩
You can do it!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. It is so good how you explain everything understandably. Thank you for you speak very nicely and slowly because I am learning in English langauge yet (I am a hungarian). Your job is fantastic. This is the first video what I have watched from you and I really loved it! I am going to follow you in the future to learn more from you. You are absolutely professional and I am a student who want to know everything about cake making and decorating.
This is such a lovely thing to say Marianna , More NEW content will be added soon and im so pleased your finding them useful, warmest wishes, Rachel
Great Tutorial! you said the dummies were 4" deep? is that right for the ones you used? as they look deeper than that
Hi thank you so much for this tutorial, needed to know what size in width is the ribbon ur using? Is it 1inch or more?
How did this video get any thumbs down. Love it thank you for sharing
Its all good its still classed as `engagement` so all dislikes and even nasty comments just help the videos reach more people. Its karma is in BEST form ever x
Hi Rachel! Thank you for your tutorials! 😊 where can I purchase the quilting tool you used? Thanks!
Tac lopez Good Morning Tac, any good Cake decorating supply store online or even amazon. Just make sure it's the same one described in the tutorial x
Beautiful video, could you please what have you used to frost the cake, is it ganache or buttercream.. for what ganache frosting, what white chocolate should be used ?
Yes you can
Are you using 4mm balls??
can the sizes of the diamond pattern be adjusted if you want bigger diamonds?
cina ballard You would need to work out the Circumstance of the cake using 'pie' and see if you could divide it by the length of your embosser so you ended up with an equal number. So pretend the Circumstance was 100cm and your embosser was exactly 10cm. It would mean you would use your embosser 10 times but with a flawless finish because there are ten , tens in one hundred. But if your embosser was 9cm then there are 11.11 Nines and the .11 would mean having a gap on the cake and no flawless finish.
OMG I had that tool but it took wings and flew away when i moved from New york to Charlotte😊
