    Thank you Carol for showing this amazing content. I've always used the already made patterns and somehow they never come out perfect. After looking at this tutorial, now I know how to create the pattern myself. Thank you again.

    Not only did you make a stunning cake, you made the process look so simple. Your fondant looks pillowy soft too. Do you use a layer of buttercream underneath?

      55cm...cake perimetre
      3,5cm.... widht of one box
      55/3,5 = 15,7....number of points on top, but its not a integer so you can choose:
      1. 55/15 = 3,66cm box
      15 points with 3,6cm distance
      2. 55/16 = 3,43cm box
      16 points with 3,4cm distance

    Very nice indeed - however I think that 'Cake Queen Tanya's' RUclips channel is a much quicker method, where the diamond squares are marked out on the fondant before she covers her cake - but well done.

      It’s not because the fondant stretches as you put it over the cake

      You have to measure round the cake then divide it up to roughly the size you want
