👍22 You have so many beautiful wildflowers around your property. It makes sense for you to plant herbs and veggies in your garden beds. Later you may consider putting up fences around the garden beds. I had tomatoes and vegetables eaten by animals when I didn't have fences. When my apple tree had tent caterpillars, I had to chop off the branch and torch them. I hope you will be able to find ways to treat those pesky gypsy moss caterpillars. 💕🌺🍀🇨🇦

You have got such a wonderful plot of land - the trees and shrubs are looking great.
And we loved the vegetable plot and how you created it. Nice to see a lot of Blackberries.
Sue planted some Tayberries in our yard and they are fantastic. A cross between raspberries and blackberries with huge berries and they’re very hardy too

Always great to utilise wood for other tasks. My husband has tons of wood, all shapes and sizes, to be used as and when. So annoying when you think you've filmed something! Your raised beds are looking great. You have a nice variety of veg in there. I always plant Marigolds, but didn't realise they help with bugs.

Oh I love your garnden area!! I'm considering raised beds next year. But haven't decided yet. I've gotten a couple jalapenos so far. They were good. Kind of on the smallish side. I ended up just eating them fresh on a dish. If I do raised beds next year, I will have more plants and hopefully get enough to do some pickling myself. I look forward to seeing your harvest.

    • @LivingtheSilverLife

DeeAnna I am loving watch your house and garden come together and it's great that Bill makes new stuff out of old . Alf does this too, recycling/ upcycling things in our house and garden. Nice new use from the old kayak rack 😃Your house in the background is looking great too. We have always bought houses that need modernisation and then sell them on for a profit but would love to buy some land and build our own here in North Wales. I wondered if this was the first house you have built and if its the first, are you glad you started it ? It looks hard work but fun hard work . Ir is it too early to say yet ?😃
So good that you're growing your own produce . Shame about the apple tree though but great about the blackberries . Your flower pots are so pretty and I love the singing birds. Really enjoying this :) ~ Anna 👍
