Wow Bill & Deanna. I’ve not heard of the Gypsy moth and certainly didn’t know the problems they cause. Your preventative measures look good and I hope it works for you. A very interesting share. Thank you. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
It really is amazing to consider just how much of an effect a little creature could have! All animals great and small have their own effect on the world and its a pretty amazing way of life!
👍36 Wow, you did good research on caterpillars and gypsy moss. I learned a lot about them in your video. I hope you will successfully treat them as you planned. All the best! Thanks a lot for sharing the awesome tips for treating them. 💕💕🌸🌸🍀🍀
Hope you get ride of them and that your trees keep on being beautiful . Your product seem to work well 👍 I had trouble with grain bug in my lawn since 3 years and after treating them with a solution of water ,soap and vegetable oil and also a chemical product I think I got rid of them . They appear in the hot summer time and eat the roots and then the grass comes yellow and dies and always in full sun spots . Hope your project is going good in building your nice cabin 😉👍 Have a nice Sunday Hélène et Serge 👩❤️👨🌈⚜️
This is a great information! Wow, I never thought that these insects can cause lots of problems. That’s great though that you found a remedy and hope it works!
Hi guys the gypsy moths/ caterpillars are a real problem that I didn't know about but good that you have the solution and can get it dealt with, shame about the devastation you have suffered already, they seem like terrors. Hopefully all sorted now 👍~ Anna
Yes, we have the same problem here in NS. Miserable creatures...but guess they must be good for something in the ecosystem...not sure thought. lol Good work there. Bruce and Otis
Absolutely fascinating!! Such a shame that you lost so many trees 😨😨 Hopefully you won’t need the wrappings but at least it’s there if you need it. Hope they’re at the end of their cycle 🤞🤞 Learned a lot today. Have a good week you two.
Thank you for this information, I was wondering what all these caterpillars are. They are all over my aspen trees. So many of them all climbing up. I did not know what they were. They seem to have slowed down here lately. I was finding black spots under leaves that looked like thousands of eggs. I pick them off and now my young trees are looking better.
I hear you! We’ve had elm bugs for the past four years. I remove hundreds of them in my home. This year, they are horrible! Frankly over it! 😜 I hope you’ll be able to save your trees.
@@LivingtheSilverLife little tiny brown hard shell bugs. They don’t bite. A got here in the RV path used some bug killer in the trees. He said the ground was covered. At least a million of them were on the ground.
We were coming back through California 3 years ago and they stopped us at the border. Said our home area was not on the list for having the gypsy moth but they wanted to look in our cargo camper anyway. Personally, I think she was hoping to catch us with something. I was so mad! Not sure I’ll ever go back to California! But glad we don’t have these moths. I have heard they’re bad news.
They really are, but like you, that seems weird that they would be looking for them when they stopped you. I think she was trying to catch y’all with something else.
I would suggest treating for them, for more than one year. My guess is you have all stages of the Gypsy Moth every year. The Seven Year Locust hatches every year. It just takes 7 years for it to go through it's cycle. Some years may have more moths than usual but they are probably present every year, as caterpillars, just not as many.
Interesting video! Hope it works and you don't lose any more trees! 🤞 We have the opposite problem in Europe. It's called the processionary caterpillar and eats conifers but not deciduous trees. Plus their hairs cause skin irritation and can even kill pets! 😨 Rumoured to be spreading into the UK now too, with rising temperatures! Best of luck with yours👍😁
I hope so. People have been telling us that they aren’t really gone, there just isn’t as many of them during the odd years. We can definitely deal with that better.
cool Destructive Power
Thank for sharing my friend, big like 👍
White oak does make for good lumber 😎 for building stuff. Hope that treatment works 👍

I am so happy to report that we don't have sponge worms on our property. I hope that you get excellent results with this.
Have a great week.
I’m glad you don’t. Hopefully you never will.
Crazy how these moths can do damage.
very useful tip to those having thesame problem. Well presented
Thanks for providing the video, although im not sure if we have these in Australia?
Those gypsy moths don't play around! Glad you're taking care of business 44
Thank you. They weren’t as bad this year.
My throw pillows match your seat cover!❤

This is true.
Awesome video 👍
Had no idea they were so destructive!
Thank you for the tips!
nice video
Wow can’t believe you could actually hear them eating!
It’s gross for sure. Especially those little brown poop pellets.
This was interesting. We didn't realize how much damage these can do. We look forward to seeing if your solution works. Thanks for sharing this!

I’ll have to look them up. They sound similar to the guns we used to get in Texas.
This is a great information! Wow, I never thought that these insects can cause lots of problems. That’s great though that you found a remedy and hope it works!
OMG, you got to deal with all that? LOL. That just blows my mind. HAHAHD. LIKE 29. 👍👍👍

Nice video 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks 🤗
I cant believe tiny creatures could kill so many tress!! Good luck guys!!
I know. Me either.
Wow- they are doing a number on those apple trees! Didn't know there was a treatment and hope you beat them!
Hope so too.

Be glad y’all don’t have them.😂😂
That’s seems like a good moth management system- hopes it gets rid of them for you all
Ya know, they weren't as bad this year as they were last year so I think we did all of that for nothing. But better safe than sorry.
Oh wow, they’re really destructive. Let’s hope this works and your trees are safe this season. Cheers 🍻
They really are.
May, they can cause a lot of trouble. Hopefully this will the care of them. Lynn and Danny
It did. They weren’t as bad this year as they were last year.

Agreed. They do t seem to be near as bad this year.
I remember as a kid one year, we could barely go outside because of these gypsy moths
That's awful. They are such a menace. We got lucky this year. We did all that work, and they weren't near as bad this year as last.
Very beautiful area view 🥰🪟
It really is!

Hopefully, you will not lose any of your Aspen. They are such a pain.
I hear you! We’ve had elm bugs for the past four years. I remove hundreds of them in my home. This year, they are horrible! Frankly over it! 😜 I hope you’ll be able to save your trees.
I’ve never heard of elm bugs. I’ll have to look them up.

Every year. That scares me. I hope we don’t.

Oh, that makes sense. We will keep that in mind.
Watching from very warm Georgetown, Texas!😀👍
I just left Georgetown on Friday to fly back to NY. Yes, it is quite warm. Enjoy.
@@LivingtheSilverLife We got to see a lot, it’s a fun community! 😀👍
I have enough footage for a video, we’ll see! 😀
We agree.
Wow they did a lot of damage 😮Hope this worked for y’all. Did you have to replace the damage trees? Great info y’all ~Mel & Nette
We haven’t yet. We also haven’t gotten them all down yet. We removed the ones that could potentially fall on the house.
Interesting video! Hope it works and you don't lose any more trees! 🤞 We have the opposite problem in Europe. It's called the processionary caterpillar and eats conifers but not deciduous trees. Oh that’s awful. Luckily these don’t kill pets. Yikes.
Hope it works! We have a Grub getting into our Mesquite Trees. I wonder if this would work for them.
I don’t know, but I remember the grubs in Texas. They were more of a burrowing in the ground insect there. Must be a different kind of grub.
I have heard of them, but woe they are destructive! Hopefully after this 3rd year they will be gone!
I hope so. People have been telling us that they aren’t really gone, there just isn’t as many of them during the odd years. We can definitely deal with that better.
