Location is always a winner, we have a house in the country that suffers with high winds and bugs when the farmers are harvesting, but being able to look out of my window and see horses and deer never gets old.

It is nice and warm in the summer, but it does tend to get too cold for me in the winters. That's why traveling back to Texas is perfect for that time of year. Seeing family is nice too. The area where you are in NY looks amazing, your backyard is awesome!! I do wish our property had more trees, but it had been cleared out years ago so they could bail hay in areas. We loved this video! Thank you for showing us all the nice things about upstate NY. We are from Saratoga but have been here in Florida for about 25 years. Summers we take our Airstream to NY, but we are looking forward to retiring in a few years and having flexibility to go in the fall as well. By the way DeAnna, we are both teachers!

I want to be out of town, but not so far away that I have to drive an hour to grab something from the store. Ok here's my question. He is from NY and you're a Texas girl, how on earth did you two manage to meet? Yeah, wood heat isn't all it's cracked up to be by some peeps. It has a lot of cons to it. I love your choice of interior design and the fact that you are keeping it simple. I went through a phase of chucking a lot of stuff cuz it was just too cluttered feeling. But I have more I'd like to ditch. You're basically living my dream of a tiny house. One day, hopefully I'll get mine. We'll see. Love that you share yours. Safe travels.

Bill moved to Texas when his brother was living there to become a golf pro cause the seasons are longer. He got a job in Ennis. It's where I grew up, and I had moved back for my first teaching job. We met at church, started dating in October and got married in December. And no, we didn't have too. 😂😂. Our first child didn't come along for another 2 years. Bill and DeAnna

That is the plan. Jenna and Randy came this year. They loved it. Sara, Mike and the grandsons are coming next summer. Can’t wait.
