Really great informative video of these places, loved all the info you shared. I would love to watch them make glass, we did that in Jamestown and also on the last cruise we took lol. We have an old Rockwell ornament that was passed down from my husband's side of the family. Really enjoyed these places, Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Exploring Corning, NY through your lens was like taking a journey into the heart of craftsmanship and creativity! The Corning Museum of Glass showcased the mesmerizing artistry of glass-making, and the Rockwell Museum was a treasure trove of diverse artworks. Loved the behind-the-scenes glimpses and the vibrant narration. Looking forward to more Silver Life adventures! 🎨🔥🚐
Great tour of the Corning Museum. So interesting to see the process of working with glass. So many beautiful items in the museum. Great painting in the Rockwell Museum. Thank you for sharing with tour with us. Have a nice week my friend.🌞
Outstanding museum! Corning Glass is some of the most beautiful and functional. Fun to watch them forming glass. Rockwell Museum collection was very cool!
You and Bill must have had a great time, so many interesting things to see between both places. Thank you for sharing the video, DeAnna your narration was excellent. Twenty-Five years ago, when I lived in Carmel NY, off of route 6, there was a women who did glass blowing and sometimes I would stop by to see all the fascinating & beautiful things she was creating with a simple glob of melted glass. Rockwell museum really caught my attention since I love seeing paintings from all different artists. I find it so interesting to see how each artist expresses what they see on a canvas. I going to have add this to my have to see places list, it's about a four-hour trip. Funny, how some of us live in New York State our entire life and lack seeing all the beautiful places that are right in our own back yard, I'm guilty of this.
Four hours isn’t bad, when there is so much to do. It would be fun to make a weekend of it and stay somewhere near by. These museums are top notch. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at glass blowing. Maybe one year I’ll take a class or at least do the one time glass blowing one they offer at the museum. In October you can blow a pumpkin. Maybe I’ll do that. 😂😂
@@LivingtheSilverLife Yes, four hours isn't bad at all. No question about it, it would be a weekend get away, staying somewhere near by sp that I can get to all the places I would like to see. You should take a class in glass blowing, and if they already offer it at the museum, what are you waiting for, go enjoy yourself. You can pick a pumpkin ( lol )
Like 55 👍 Hello from Naples, Florida. Now, those are nice museums. We enjoyed them both. We'd like to try the "glass blowing" at Corning. Thanks for sharing with us, have a great weekend 💯
The glass museum was fascinating especially the glass breaking demonstration. And the Rockwell museum looks interesting too. You have some cool attractions around you guys. Have a good week ahead Bill and De Anna
very nice content to be watch today dear my friend...I very enjoyed to watch it until the end scene👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️ .best regards from Indonesia #willysandy58
How great that the company has expanded where in the market they make glass for. Many companies could learn from that to keep their companies relevant. The demonstrations must have been awesome to watch. What a fantastic museum, so interesting.
Who knew there was a Corning Museum, yet alone a Corning NY? Thanks so much for the video. I would love to visit the Corning museum one day. Thanks. Hello! I wish you well. STAY ENCOURAGED 😊 LIKED 👍
This place is awesome! Such beautiful decorations, I had no idea they were involved in so many other things! Such a cool demonstrations! Very nice to get a 2 for 1 ticket! Interesting museum, thanks for taking us with you!
The demonstrations at the museum of glass look very interesting. My family had those old Corning Ware white dishes with the blue flower design when I was a child. My mom is still using that cookware. The Rockwell Museum looks good too. I love the buffalo crashing through the wall of the museum building. Thanks for sharing these museums with us!
I remember the Corning museum but went years ago not recently. It has changed so much. Yes, I used to live in NY. More specifically in Queens. HAHA. LIKE 37, 👍👍👍
Nice visit to the Corning museum! The glass displays remind me the Chihuly glass garden in Seattle. Cool to watch how they cut and shape the bottle. Beautiful collection of paintings , sculptures and artworks at Rockwell museum . Great information!
Their glass demos are top notch. It’s really fun to watch. These two museums are a sampling of some of the best museums in the area. There are 2 others we didn’t share.
Hi guys these places were very interesting especially the glass museum and the art gallery had so many lovely paintings. Good that they are both in Corning :) ~ Anna ❤
Both museums were really cool. I loved seeing all the glass work and how it is made. Thanks for sharing. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely check them out. 😊😊
👍20 It was interesting to see glass works on display and the procedures for making them. I use some dishes and bowls of Corning Wares. However, I didn't know the company makes other glass products. I enjoyed watching your museum tour video. Thanks for sharing!
Fascinating glass making facility. Most modern I have seen. Amazing western art museum. Interesting how they had to diversify to be an affiliate of the big museum. Cheers and like my friends
Bill and Deanna this was great. Wonderful Job on the narration I actually have those old white casserole dishes and several other old glass corning dishes from my mother in law. The glass blowing is so fun to watch Ron and I have a few places we like visiting I want to do it sometime. Thanks for sharing all the information.
Oh my goodness, You house is really coming a long. I had no idea that corning ware is from Corning NY. I didn't know all this was made there. Love the demo
I am impressed by the places you have visited this time! They are both grand museums in their own ways, but the tinker in me really enjoyed the practical demonstration at the Corning Museum. I have heard about that place in a TV show called Blow Away where the price was a artist residency at this museum, so it was fun to see the place and your experiences there! The Rockwell also looks like a nice place, but a more quiet one where you can walk around and just experience great art from the USA! So both places are on my list to visit if I get to Corning in the future! All the best, Ant
I considered heading to the glass museum and when I was in the area recently but just didn’t have the time. Cool spot… I’ll have to make it there someday. I had just assumed the Rockwell Museum was Norman Rockwell, thanks for straightening me out!
😂😂. I thought that too for a long time. We’d been coming to this area for years before Bill explained the museum to me a little better. I had no idea there was so many art pieces inside.
That’s a pretty awesome museum to visit. I remember my mom of being all into Corning plates. That was many years ago. I was thinking I saw someone go through an abandoned factory that was Corning, but may have been another brand. And I don’t remember where it was for sure, but seems like it was NY. Anyway, that’s all beside the point lol. Great video. Thanks for letting us go with you. It was really neat to see the glass process.
Yes, those plates had some pretty cool scenes on them. My mother-in-law gave me a bunch. They are around somewhere. 😂😂. Bill’s dad worked for Corning, and they had an employee store. They don’t have it anymore, but when they did, we got a bunch of stuff.

I feel like they were such a house hold item for so many homes across America. We have a lot ourselves. We really enjoyed all the demonstrations.
Hello again. Thank you so much for giving us the history of Corning Cookware. Such rich history. Fully enjoyed watching. Enjoy your day.
Glad you enjoyed it.

That's a really cool museum. I really love my corning wear. Even all these years later. Lol. Lynn and Danny
We do too. We used to get to buy them at an employee store at a discount cause his dad worked for Corning.
I was blessed to go to Waterford crystal in Ireland, so cool this is in NY. Thanks for sharing, I watched 2 times.😊
Thank you. We love this area of NY. There is so much to do. Steuben Crystal was made here. I bet Waterford Crystal was a great tour.

They’ve always been more of a research company for glass. They started off making lab equipment.

The glass museum was voted back in ‘72 (I think) as one of the top architectural designs.
