I mean he does work alone.Besides the fact that he has more allies than anyone, when he’s in Gotham he’s primarily by himself.Even when he’s abroad,it’s typically just him.
I think that line is only used if he doesn’t like/trust the person he tells that to.The bat family are aware of how Bruce wants something done and how to perfectly execute it.So when he’s with the family,it’s not so much he’s with other people than he is with himself(I don’t know if that make sense but yeah)

I think he only talked about the bat-family members that exist on the main Earth. The other ones are from alternate earths( they are still canon, but only in their timelines).

Gotta say Tim Drake and Jason Todd are my fave batfam members and would love to see them work more often. Their relationship has such a nice progress and interesting story. Also, I prefer Red Robin over Drake. The Red Robin comic from 2016 was great, the plot, the art, the characters...would love to see Tim have a more important role
While I admit neither Bat-Mite nor Man-Bat were members of the "family", if you can include Bat-Cow, I think these two at least deserve mention as bat-themed allies.
Or what about Goliath? I mean ik he’s more of a Damian ally but he would help if Damian wanted him too. And Damian’s other pets: Alfred Pennyworth the Cat, New actual Dragon from Nightwing #42, and Monkey from Batman Ninja

The Huntress introduced in 1989 was actually the second time the character was introduced. Back before the crisis in 1985 the Multiverse wasn't just a fun nod it was actually a thing. While newer heroes existed a lot of Golden Age titles were still ongoing without a sliding timeline. Helena Wayne was the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. She was killed off by crisis and the character was reimagined as Helena Bertinelli in 1989

This needs a part two. There's many other characters that could make a great list of the lesser known / former / affiliated members of the Bat Family. Bluebird, Gotham and Gotham Girl, Julia Pennyworth, Bat-Mite, Harold Allnut, the original Batwing and other Batman Inc members, original Huntress, Batman Beyond (though he's not technically part of the original family, and has a continuation of it in his comics), Clayface, even other Bat pets.
The Outsiders recently split up with Katana becoming a part of Team Arrow, Signal remaining with the BatFamily, Black Lightning becoming a crime-fighting duo with his daughter who operates under the moniker Thunder, and the fates of Geo-Force, Halo, and Metamorpho being unknown.
Wait when did Katana join team arrow because as far as I know after the current iteration of the outsiders (composed of Black Lightning, Katana, Orphan, The Signal, lady Shiva and Babylon/Sofia Ramos) disbanded Babylon went with Lady Shiva, Cassie and Duke remaining with Batman, and Black Lightning and Katana working together since they’ve formed a stronger bond working together.

Batman Beyond, Carrie Kelly, Helena Wayne are from different earths and time but the person missing was Bluebird (Harper Row)... You could've also included Commissioner Gordon and Leslie Thompkins
There need to be a Batman cross universe movie with the entire bat family. I also think that a group of bat family films can push DC forward on the big screen.

I'm still angling for a new title to resurrect a giant sized title from the '70's, The Batman Family, everyone stays in their solo titles but they interact with each other more in a large sized issue. In and out of costume, it would be great to get everyone in a book like that! And they could start the whole storyline with the search for resurrected Alfred!

Duke Thomas is a great character, can't wait to see him more in DC future state.
He’s a great character but it bothers me how he joined the family. Luke Fox made much more sense and felt natural. Out of all the kids from We Are Robin I wasn’t expecting Duke to be chosen.

I wish there was a movie or series about the bat family living their lives with half of the episodes being the usual dc drama and the rest being Robin and the gang at school and Bruce having meetings at Wayne tower. It would be wholesome too see for example dwayne taking ace for a Walk and nightwing looking at his old Robin suits.
